I've installed tucan on my HP Pavilion dv2800t with ubuntu 10.10.Megaupload download didn't starts or start later. If I try cut and paste link on Firefox I recives a message from Megaupload sites for more request by my ip adress and wait for download more minutes.The other downloads from rapidshare, hotfile ecc with tucan works fine.
View 1 RepliesA few days ago I installed a fresh ubuntu 10.04 LTS without the X-Server (only cli) and I'm looking for a good Download Manager for rapidshare and megaupload free account that work with WebUI. I tried a some software :
- FatRat (doesnt work without X-Server)
- Slimrat (doest have actualy a web ui)
- Plowshare (no WebUI)
It seems to be very hard to find
but I would like to download to my W'7 desktop. I click on the download button [URL]and it says download started, but I am never prompted with the window to choose the directory to go to and then start the download.

Tried with the "basic" hosts file as well, eg with only the localhost lines in it. Both server run centos 5.3, up-to-date.There is no real error anywhere which might explain WHY aisexec daemon won't start. When i start openais manually (/etc/init.d/openais start) it starts without any errors.
I've a database-server (IBM x3650 M2) with about 3 TB Data on SAN (Hitachi) with lvm top of softraid (RAID1) based on multipath (2 SAN-boxes in different buildings). After booting the server, multipath starts, but no md starts the mirror. The same configuration with SLES 10 works.

I installed openSUSE today using a network installer cd, opting for the Xfce environment. Everything went smooth with the installer, but I have some issues with the network. After the fresh install, nm-applet did not start. I got the following error:

Fortunately I used Archlinux for a quite long time and I know how to connect to WPA2 encrypted wireless network from command line, so I was able to connect to the internet and do an upgrade - everything went just smooth and fine again.
After the update and restart, I found the nm-applet icon in the system tray. And here comes the second problem: I can connect with the nm-applet, but the connection does lasts only for about 10 seconds. So practically I can't use the net this way either. Ok, no problem, I fired up Yast, disabled the networkmanager and choose to start my network with the traditional method. I entered the required stuff from my wireless card ( ESSID and passwd ), set to activate at boot time and reboot.....
I'm trying to get mySQL Daemon to start when the machine starts up (and it requires root privileges to run). The command to startup would be

sudo /etc/init.d/mysql start however that would prompt for a password, and that would not be very well possible now would it? Now, if i try to start it up without being root, it will not start. So this is my problem, maybe someone out there would know a bit more about this than me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use NetworkManager to handle my net connections and it's applet that allows me to control everything from the gui is called nm-applet. I was able to edit /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.fluxbox so that nm-applet starts when fluxbox does and away I go. From runlevel 3 that is.
On my laptop I like to boot into runlevel 4 for various reasons. When I start a fluxbox session from runlevel 4 this doesn't happen. What file do I have to edit to get this to start from runlevel 4?

I've gotten everything working on my laptop except the webcam. I'm trying to use webkam (from kde repo) but the launcher starts up but the program doesn't start. The driver is "uvcvideo" which loads with no error messages.

Iam tring to install 11.4 on my new computer, when i start the computer the green screen pops up and syslinux starts. However when it finishes loading a dialog box pops up saying "Make sure that cd number 1 is in your drive" . Obviously it it is,
because i am booting from the dvd. I dropped to the shell where i saw this message "Inappropriate ioct1 for device". What does all this mean.
I've got an urgent problem! I had some viruses as my program told me and in the end I had to restart my eee pc!Problem is now after it starts and you click on the log me in icon for the netbook it makes the nice hello sound, takes some time and then does the shut down (goodbye) sound. Since the download starts at 2 AM i used to leave my system ON. I would like to know if the download will automatically start from the login screen itself.(That is suppose i switch ON the system at 2 AM and never bother to login to my account.)

I'm using firefox and have tried installing adobe flash player through their website (nothing happens, download doesn't start) and through the terminal (error messages), I've also tried installing other flash players from the ubuntu software centre and, while they install fine, they don't seem to actually work. 1. It takes a lot of time to start the download. Last night it did not even start to download even after 15 mins. But when i put the same torrent in utorrent in Win7 partition it started to download immediately.. can somebody point out what is going wrong?
2. do i need to keep the qBittorrent open all the time till it finishes.. Otherwise it is not downloading... But in my Win7, when i close it, it automatically docks itself to the task bar.. (hav been using Win for a long time.. thats why i am comparing it to Win.. )
