Software :: Inject Card (Intel Pro 3945 ABG) By Using Ipwraw-ng-2.3.4-04022008

Jan 6, 2010

I want to inject my card (Intel pro 3945 ABG) by using ipwraw-ng-2.3.4-04022008.tar.But I got a problem during the installation that driver.I want to use the driver in BackTrack4. But I can't connect to internet with BackTrack4, so I download it from Window 7 and copy to my thumb drive, and past to the desktop of BackTrack4.

Then I open terminal, decompress the tar file.
Another folder(ipwraw-ng) is appear on the desktop.
Then I change to the "ipwraw-ng" directory (cd /ipwraw-ng)
Then I compile with command (make) and the error start.
It shows error like below

Fedora Hardware :: Intel Wireless 3945 ABG Not Working?

Jan 23, 2010

I have an Intel 3945ABG WiFi card in my Laptop (Dell Inspiron 6400). The problem is that I'm not able to get my card detect the Wireless Network. I'll list the prolem more specifially below. O.S. Fedora 12 x86-64

1. The Network Icon on the Taskbar (is it what it is called here in Linux??) shows Wireless is Disabled under the Wireless Networks. Wired Net works fine.

2. If I goto System->Pref->Network Connection the Network Tab is empty.

3.Under System->Admin->Network Config I can see two Devices; one is eth0 (active) with a checked check box. Second is wlan0 which is Inactive and has a checked Checkbox. The Activate and Deactivate buttons are disabled for both these. If I go and see in the Properties of the wlan0 it says controlled by Network Manager checked but the Network Manager comes up empty.

4. This forces me to remove that "controlled by network manager box" which enables the activate and deactivate buttons. Now I can Activate my wlan0 adapter and the light on the Laptop for WiFi starts up. During startup (activation I get this error in the pop-up box:

Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06):SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.). But the popup eventually closes auto. The Network Config box now shows it active but the Taskbar Icon still shows Wireless is disabled. And still the Network Connections has an empty box under Wireless tab. I donno what to do next. The card worked fine with Ubunto 9.04, openSuSE 11.2 (both 32 bit btw) and Fedora 11 again 32 bit.

Ubuntu Networking :: Wireless Only Works Once Per Install (Intel 3945 - Full Details)

Mar 25, 2010

Windows crashed yet again so I thought I'd switch to Ubuntu. Install of 9.10 went flawlessly, everything looked great and worked perfectly. Next day after restart the wireless wouldn't connect. I looked around for solutions and used a wired connection to install wicd and suddenly wireless worked again. But next day after restart wireless wouldn't connect again -

I keep getting a popup asking for my WPA key despite the fact that I know the key is entered correctly. I decided to install 10.04, thinking maybe that would help. It didn't look like wireless was working but after a restart it worked and it worked again after another restart! Fantastic! But today, I'm back to square one. Using Windows again.

TL;DR - Wireless won't connect to the network which it can definitely see - repeatedly presents "Enter WPA key" prompt despite key being correct and wireless working flawlessly under Windows.

Software :: Nemesis - Inject Packets With Specific TCP Options?

I want to inject a packet with specified TCP options: Maximum Segment Size, Window Scale Option, Timestamp Option... The man page mention very little about that:Quote:-o TCP-options-fileThis will cause nemesis-dns to use the specified TCP-options-file as the options when building the TCP header for the injected packet. TCP options can be up to 40 bytes in length. The TCP options file must be created manually based upon the desired options. TCP options can also be read from stdin by specifying '-o -' instead of a TCP-options-file.I don't understand what TCP options file structure is? ASCII, hex or raw? One way to try: in Wireshark, select the Follow TCP stream option of a packet, save as with some types: ASCII, hex... and use it for input:

Code:
sudo nemesis tcp -v -fS -D localhost -o /path/to/<TCP_options_file>

May 21, 2010

In Fedora 12, I am trying to use a program that uses uinput to inject mouse events to control X applications. This worked with Fedora 9, but doesn't with Fedora 12. I see the following in my Xorg.0.log:

(II) config/hal: Adding input device Prototype IRPointer Device

The device is not a synaptics touchpad, and so the X load of the driver is incorrect. But I don't know how to get X to ignore it's own driver and use evdev. (Or even if that's the right thing.) A general explanation of how hal and evdev are related, for the current X server,

Debian Hardware :: Lag On Every 5 Min Or So With Intel 7265 WiFi Card

Sep 13, 2015

I have an intel 7265 AC wireless card. When I try to download something my estimated download time is tripled almost every 5 mins. And when I play an online game from steam (cs:go or dota2) the ping goes to 250-300 ms which generally stays around 80ms. I'm using debian jessie. So far, I've tried turning of the power save mode of the card, changing ISP and router but none of them worked. I have a fairly good internet connection (I'm using it with my other machines without a problem) so I don't think the connection or router is the problem. Below you can find some information about system.

Code: Select all$ lspci | grep Network

Ubuntu Networking :: Intel Network Card Up/Down On Current 10.04?

May 18, 2010

I am running Lucid Lynx and have only noticed this problem in the past couple weeks. Before Lucid I ran Jaunty & Karmic on this same box, although I installed Lucid as a clean install. My problem is that up to 5 or 6 times per minute my networking card drops its connection and then has its connection re-established. I have an integrated Intel 82566DC gigabit card on an Intel Motherboard DG35EC connected to a 10/100 network and am running the 64-bit version of Lucid. I've done some considerable searching on this problem and although I've seen many references to similar problems dating back several years, I have found none that seem to have any solutions that do anything for me. I never had this problem under any prior version of Linux on this box (all prior versions were also 64-bit).

In short, this block of messages repeats in my messages log:

May 18 20:18:50 mark-desktop kernel: [10121.062129] e1000e: eth0 NIC Link is Down May 18 20:18:52 mark-desktop kernel: [10122.730873] e1000e: eth0 NIC Link is Up 100 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX/TX May 18 20:18:52 mark-desktop kernel: [10122.730876] 0000:00:19.0: eth0: 10/100 speed: disabling TSO

Most of the time I don't even see that the connection has gone down. Sonetimes everything seems to be operating fine for a half-hour or more, although it could be dropping out and coming back really quickly all of the time. Sometimes it goes out for 10 seconds.Sometimes it goes out for many minutes and I can get networking back by killing disabling networking and then re-enabling it. It's quite annoying.

I'm sorry if I'm duplicating an existing issue on this forum, but I can't find this exact problem anywhere. Does anyone have any clever ideas about how to fix this?

Have been using Arch for about one year. Everything works great until a few days ago. My wireless card couldn't connect to my router.

kernel: 2.6.32-ARCH
wireless card: Intel 3945ABG
wireless card driver/firmware: iwlwifi-3945-ucode 15.32.2.9-2

[code]....

The wireless card:

Code:

Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 1010
Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- DisINTx+

Since the card works in scanning mode, I assume it's OK. I have other devices in the house that also connect to the same AP. Everyone works except this laptop.
