Here it says "stat=Sent" but nothing from the above mail address has been received on the client's inbox. We've experienced this with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird alike so far with Two(2) of our user accounts.

This is very old topic but despite of trying out all possible solutions available on net and forums, I am not able to setup tftp server on my 2.6.32.11-99.FC12.i686.PAE. Is there something obvious missing out.
/etc/xinet.d/tftp # default: off # description: The tftp server serves files using the trivial file transfer # protocol. The tftp protocol is often used to boot diskless # workstations, download configuration files to network-aware printers,
I'm trying to record video of a game I am playing. I am using gtk-recordmydesktop but it records the audio from my mic. This is obviously not what I want. The apparent solution was jack, but I've been having a hard time getting it to run. According to #fedora I was told to get qjackctl and jack capture. When I try to run qjackctl and click the "start" button I get this long nasty error:

I am unable to run remote desktop from my fc 13 server, to my laptop. I have read the remote desktop setup and added port 6000 to firewall, added host name of server to xhost (nick@192.168.1.110). Added the line to /etc/gdm/custom.conf like in fedora guide (DisallowTCP=false). But i still get the error

You are running tftpd as an on demand server i.e. it is only fired up when it is needed. Services run by xinetd are always run on demand. Have you actually tested if tftp on another system can access your PC i.e.
I've setup an NFS share on my Fedora 15 host of which Google'ing told me that it had changed radically from the old NFSv3 config. Ie. no more /etc/hosts.allow or /etc/hosts.deny files.....My current setup is this..../etc/sysconfig/nfs:
For some reason I am unable to find a DHCP Server package for Fedora 14 using yum. Does anyone know what I should be searching for or even a .rpm that can be used?
I'm using FC12 with kde and cannot update the system time using the gui. The error is :Error unable to contact time server. How do i get it to work for the rest of the family who do not want to mess aboutcli mode? This does work from the terminal:ntpdate -u ntp.exnet.com so client software is present and correct leaving me at a loss.
I recently did a clean install of Fedora 11 (from Fedora 10). In Fedora 9 and 10 I used a remote font server so that I could launch HP OpenView over a VPN tunnel. The procedure would go something like this:
OpenView requires the fonts that are installed on the HP-UX server, hence the need for the xset command. Now since the installation of Fedora 11, I cannot get the xset command to work.
xset fp+ tcp/<hp_ux_server>:7000 xset: bad font path element (#23), possible causes are: Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions Directory missing fonts.dir Incorrect font server address or syntax
I have turned off the firewall to make sure it wasn't blocking the request. But to no avail. I have also had two other people with Fedora 11 machines try this, they get the same error. Were there major changes in the X server from Fedora 10 to 11+?

I use F10 at home and while away from work on my laptop. Recently I could get the VPN sorted out ( I can now connect to the vpn (ppp0) server at work from home or anywhere else). I am trying to mount a windows folder that is on the work server on my F10 box at home through the VPN connection that is first established. What I know about the windws server
servername sharename username password
When I try this
sudo mount -t cifs //pxxxx/home/abcd /mnt/dir/ -o username=abcd,password=xxxx
I get this error
mount error: could not resolve address for pxxxx: Name or service not known No ip address specified and hostname not found
I think the VPN connection is established successfully. I have a ppp0 connection under ifconfig with an IP address after vpn connection is established. In windows I just map the network drive (\pxxxxhome) username=abcd, password=xxxx and mount the folder as "abcd on pxxxxhome"
Am using Fedora 15, in which i was able to configure the proxy server and authentication. i confirmed this by configuring web broswer and it works. Now the problem is that i want to deploy it out to other computer system(client) i dont want to use the transparent proxy because the Proxy Authentication will not work. I even tried to configure a DHCP server if it will work but i cant still configure for other computer system to work.

I can successfully connect to a remote Windows Computer using Terminal Server Client but I cannot save the profile (Fedora 12).This means I have to enter the details every time I wish to connect. As I have many different remote locations I need to access on a regular basis is there any way to save the profiles?
My network has several machines on it. They are all connected to a single router. Two of the machines are running Windows Vista, one Windows XP and one Fedora 11. When I go to places.network, I see an icon that says Windows Network. If I click on it, I get the message: Unable to mount location, Failed to retrieve share list from server. When I had Ubuntu running on this machine, I had no problem seeing and connecting to the Windows Vista machine.
I'm having trouble connecting to my freenas server.
It's part of my windows network and when I try to connect to it,I get this message: Unable to mount location,Failed to retrieve share list from server.

I am trying to install either Ubuntu or CentOS server in text mode only. The problem I am having is that the hardware that I am trying to install it on has no vga output, I can only connect to it via console cable. I am able to boot from USB CDROm or flash drive but unfortunately since the hardware does not have a gpu (atleast none that I'm aware of) I am unable to get past the boot screen. If someone can point me in the right direction or know where I would be able to download the text install of either OS, that would be awesome.
