I was able to start multiple X servers before. Now after the upgrade to rootless X, I had to add myself to the "input" group to be able to start X, but I'm unable to start 2nd X on a different vt.

I tested Apache and my PHP earlier and it worked. Now after SSL and FTP installation it doesn't work anymore! Also I am wondering about my server name, it is the set IP of the web server, surly i should change that? Only used link for SSL set-up, used diff links for apache php etc (also have java JRE installed as I will need that later for my app) also have GNOME available, but prefer command line.
I have fedora 10 and vista in my system. however,all was working fine ,but suddenly today when i tried to boot into fedora , i found that the avahi demon was not starting , and when the systemn booted , a message was shown that thre wasn't enough memeory space , and a blacjk scereen was shown , then i booted into vista and tried t acess the linux partiotion by Explore 2f software... At first it showed not enough memory space , but on rescanning the partition,it is showing the /boot folder.So how do i delete some data in fedora ?

I have tried removing the .evolution and .gconf/apps/evolution and, uninstalling and re-installing evolution and the most i could get is the initial config screen to setup the mail account. After i do all of that, the window disappears and does not come back. Does anyone know how to start up evolution?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed ardour on my F11 box, and both jack1 (0.xx, in /usr/bin) and jack2( 1.9.5, in /usr/local/bin/). Now when I try to start ardour, it balks about being unable to start jack. On the ardour settings page, I tried changing the JACK server path field from /usr/local/bin to /usr/bin, to no avail.
On the cmdline, here's what I get when I run, manually jack1 and jack2:

That prompts me to think that JACK1 is fine... but still ardour won't start up.

The symptom is that I'm always asked to enter the WPA passwd.

I've tried many suggestions from this forum about RT3090 or RT2800, but none worked :-(none seemed to be close to my problem:
Most of them relates to interface not seen, wifi networks not detected, system freeze.
I am relatively new to Fedora 15, but used 13 for a while with no issues. Yesterday a windows user put a flash drive into my computer for me to copy something on to. (This may be conincidental.) I then put the computer into suspend or hibernate or whatever and now it won't start up. At all. And I'm stuck as 'everything' I need is on that computer.

I try starting a new xserver (startx), but I get an error. Then I tried to google for an answer on found this on the Ubuntu forums: ok...i'm jumping in on this one and hopefully i can help. bring up another ttyl do this: ctrl + alt + f2 it'll bring you to a login screen. login as any user you have on the box (yes you can log in as yourself more than once unless you tell it not to). then start an X window in that terminal on a new server like this: xinit -- :1 vt12.

With previous versions of GDM, I was doing that through gdmsetup, which ended with these lines in /etc/custom.conf :

Mysql would not start when I tried to use it. Failed with
