Im trying to install FreeIPA V2 Beta1 on Fedora 14. I met all the prerequisites for FreeIPA before installing. But Im getting the below error while invoking the command ipa-server-install

I'm trying to ssh to a client machine which as freeipa client setup Login works great but ssh via GSS.Is there a way to see what's being sent where? I already have the highest debug turned on the ssh side.

I don't have an installation cd-rom! I put the .iso file onto a memory stick, inserted it into my old computer (which i will turn into a server later) , restarted it and got past the first two slides and got this error? Do I have to put the iso on a cd-rom?
When I start the bootable cd of ubuntu server 8. in a few seconds I get this error:

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx.
I have reinstalled mysql-server-5.1 using the command "sudo apt-get --reinstall install mysql-server-5.1".
But its giving error message at the end of installation when its trying to start the server.
The error message is as follows.
When i tried to start the server after the installation, i get this error message
Note : The file "/etc/mysql/my.cnf" is empty.
I am setting up a freeipa2 server (both fedora 15), and I was able to get the ipa-client-install to work perfectly (as far as I know) by yum excluding libcurl and curl. If I run kinit brad, I can authenticate and that works aswell.
But when I want to login as me through gdm, I get "Could not update ICEauthority file /home/brad/.ICEauthority" granted the home folders do not exist as this would be my first ever login.
I am currently replacing a windows computer lab to fedora, and have got eveything else ready to go.
I hope this is an easy question to answer, how do update my nVidia drivers? Can I add a repository so it automatically updates? I have downloaded the latest verson from the nvidia website. When I so a "sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-190.53-pkg2.run" I get "Error: You appear to be running an X server; please exit X before installing"
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter untarring the file and executing the binary for firefox, the following error is coming "brilliant:/firefox # ./firefox ./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libpangocairo-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". The libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 is there in /usr/lib.. I guess this is because the SuSE is 64 bit and the software Im trying to install is 32 bit.

So far, I have used two versions of Windows XP; one of them is from a few years before the other. Both copies of Windows XP when in start-up from booting from CD are causing errors. One of them is a BSOD error (0x0000007B) and the next Windows CD is stopping and giving me an error with setupdd.sys (error code 4). Is it required that the hard-disk is formatted before you even put a Windows boot CD in?

Now my background on Ubuntu and linux in general isnt amazing, I have configured server at home to act as a file sharing platform and a media server, but thats about it.

i tries to upgrade my fc14 to fc15 using preupgrade. during installation packages process i get an error "fatal error bla-bla-bla installing netsniff-ng-...". i've booted in fc14 (in emergency mode) and manually removed old netsniff-ng package and installed new package. after that i've booted in preupgrade process. it finishes successfull. but now i can't boot in fc15 - i get "kernel panic" error. i've opened grub.conf and there is no 'initrd' section and there is no initramfs for fc15 in /boot folder. i've tried to boot fc15 with initrd /initramfs-bla-bla-fc14.i686.PAE.img. fc15 booted, but i think something wrong, because network not working, and there is only "lo" in ifconfig. what can i do?
