CentOS 5 Server :: RPM Build Error Openssh 5.8p1?
Jul 19, 2011I am trying to build rpm for openssh 5.8p1 on centos 5.6 (32 bit) as i have not found rpm for i386 online. i followed the below mentioned steps but when i apply command rpmbuild -bb openssh.spec it gives this error at the end:
configure error: Pam Headers not found
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.18348 (%build)
if there is any rpm availble online or to sort out this build problem,Following steps i followed to build rpm. wget http://mirror.mcs.anl.gov/openssh/portable/openssh-5.8p1.tar.gz
tar -xvzf openssh-5.8p1.tar.gz[code]......
Now if you go back into /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/<arch> , you should see three RPMs. Go ahead and install them:rpm -Uvh *.rpm

Apr 4, 2010I'm not having any luck today getting maildrop working. Ubuntu (Hardy) and everything is from aptitude.If I use 2.0.3 (the version aptitude serves up) I get this:

This is after I made maildrop setuid root. It seems that the version aptitude serves us was compiled without the --enable-trusted-users flag at compile time. There appears to be no way around this other than to recompile, according to Sam V, the author of the program. So I'm off to compile my own.

It never talks to mysql and obviously isn't authenticating. The aptitude version does talk to mysql, but can proceed no further because it hits that "trusted user" issue.
Are the authlib & mysql libraries somewhere else? There areHow can I solve this? Have any of you successfully compiled maildrop to work with courier-authlib and mysql? This is driving me nuts. I'm using courier-imap with virtual users in mysql. This setup has worked just fine for a long time, but I now need to add server side filtering. It seems like I'm almost there....

I don't have an installation cd-rom! I put the .iso file onto a memory stick, inserted it into my old computer (which i will turn into a server later) , restarted it and got past the first two slides and got this error? Do I have to put the iso on a cd-rom?

What to do if a poor fella (like me) was to have a system with no CD drive? I went to the tomcat website which doesn't even have deb packages. Then I thought to search the ubuntu package repository, nothing seems to have i386 packages for me to install and then get the libs with getlibs. I HAVE to have a 32bit version of tomcat to run orkweb so I can record my phone calls on my voip line.
what would be really great is if anyone has or knows how to build a 64-bit war file for orktrack and orkweb since I have the source code

Mar 25, 2011After untarring the file and executing the binary for firefox, the following error is coming "brilliant:/firefox # ./firefox ./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libpangocairo-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". The libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 is there in /usr/lib.. I guess this is because the SuSE is 64 bit and the software Im trying to install is 32 bit.

Jun 27, 2011If I have a hard-disk with Ubuntu fully installed on it and I want to - all of a sudden - use Windows XP, is it mandatory that I firstly format the hard-disk first? So far, I have used two versions of Windows XP; one of them is from a few years before the other. Both copies of Windows XP when in start-up from booting from CD are causing errors. One of them is a BSOD error (0x0000007B) and the next Windows CD is stopping and giving me an error with setupdd.sys (error code 4). Is it required that the hard-disk is formatted before you even put a Windows boot CD in?
