i have installed nagios in centos 64 bit. but i get this error CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake. i have totally 10 hostgroup definitions. but i'm getting error for only 3 hostgroup definitions other 7 are working fine.

I have OpenVPN set up on my server at home to allow me into my home network when I'm away from home. When I set it up, I tested it using my friend's wifi so I know it works on a local geographic scale.Now I'm away from home, the TLS handshake fails to complete within 60 seconds. I assume it's timing out, as I can tracepath to the server on port 1194 successfully.From reading the OpenVPN documentation, I thought that adding "tls-timeout=120" to the client's config file would double the time allowed,but the handshake still fails with the same error message:

Everything is OK (I installed phpMyAdmin without problems) except for one big problem: php shows 500 server internal error instead of a complete error report.

my first impressions are that for all the dissing of Windows at least if I stick a CD in the tray it plays....I installed ubuntu 9.04 on a VM running alongside WindowXP and upgraded to 9.10. When I open rhythmbox and put a CD in the tray nothing happens..despite the book saying it will play automatically....after much googling I cannot find anything on this problem..most people are trying to stop autoplay. There is not even a cdrom option in the sidepanel of Rhythmbox. I have installed ubuntu-restricted-extras as advised...nada.
A chat room reply suggested abandon rhythmbox and install vlc which I did...same problem though at least i get an error message "unable to open MRL cdda://dev/sr0". As a complete newbie I do not know what to put int he command line to run rhythmbox or vlc to see the complete error log. I am trying to monitorize an OpenWRT (Backfire 10.03, r23115) router from an Ubuntu server, but I am having some problems. I have installed Nrpe (2.12) on the remote host (OpenWRT), I have executed the program as a deamon (/usr/sbin/nrpe -d) but when I start the NRPE deamon, I don't get anything about NRPE executing netstat -at or ps -ef.I would need to install check_nrpe on OpenWRT to find out if NRPE is working, but I can't find any ipk package with it. Now, once in the monitoring host when I try to reach the remote host from the server:
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H ip_remote_host
I get: Connection refused by host
Even, trying with localhost:
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost
I get the same error: Connection refused by host
I have installed Nagios Plugins and the check_nrpe plugin. I have edited the /etc/nrpe.cfg file:

I don't exactly know if it is remote host's fault, monitoring host's fault or both.
I am having a problem with my Revo 3610 which is connected to my TV via HDMI.
For some reason it will not do the HDMI handshake with the TV, so my TV does not think that there is anything in the HDMIport.
I have tested the TV and it works fine with my laptop and DVD player.
It does work sometimes, but this time it's failed for two days in a row. I've tried rebooting and turning the TV off and on, but nothing helps.
I can trick the TV to listen to the HDMI by connecting with my laptop and then changing the HDMI back to my revo; this results in the image going through nicely but there is a big fat "Check signal cable." message on the screen.
I have also tried changing the resolution in the revo but this does not help either.
If I have a hard-disk with Ubuntu fully installed on it and I want to - all of a sudden - use Windows XP, is it mandatory that I firstly format the hard-disk first? So far, I have used two versions of Windows XP; one of them is from a few years before the other. Both copies of Windows XP when in start-up from booting from CD are causing errors. One of them is a BSOD error (0x0000007B) and the next Windows CD is stopping and giving me an error with setupdd.sys (error code 4). Is it required that the hard-disk is formatted before you even put a Windows boot CD in?

I've been switching out computers to the Ubuntu distro and so far it's been very successful until this recent snag! As I am trying to have a printer plugged in through USB on one computer and shared on the other! I have the USB on the second computer and it found the printer just fine, no problems and nothing else I had to install! I then went to the first computer and tried to add the printer through the CUPS website using all the proper addresses and queue names and I receive CUPS "client-error-not-possible". I have read other threads on this very same problem but to be honest they just make no sense whatsoever to me! I was thinking of just giving up and using a print server but I know that I will run into the same snag as even then I still need CUPS.

I'm trying to sync a folder between my Windows install and my PCLinux install. Same machine, Windows 7 on the C drive and Linux on an external USB hard drive.
Using the Grsync GUI, I searched for the source and destination folders, and then executed the command. Here is the output:

Ubuntu 9.10 was set up to handle the booting selection - previously I thought it was xp but Ubuntu 9.10 "did" it. The system started out as a xp / ubuntu 9.10 dual boot on a 400gb drive. xp has 210gb, ub has 80 and their is a 100gb shared storage. Xp was installed first and then I followed a guide over at linuxconfig.org to get ub installed so that I could select which OS was wanted at boot. Ubuntu manages the boot up menu (Went back to look at my notes from the original setup) The owner tried to update to ub 11.04 and afterall was said and done the machine now boots to the message
error file not found grub rescue I can't say if 11.04 was properly installed or not. Ask whatever you like and I'll give the best answer I can. I think the xp install is okay but I can't say for certain as I don't know how to boot it outside the bootmanager at startup. Data has been saved so if I have to blow it all away and start over I can but I'm hoping I won't have to.

I've been using Kate for a while without any problems.
However, today I tried to install Kedit.
Then I got this message:

Then I uninstalled Kedit, hoping that the damage would be undone.
However, Kate still shows the same message upon startup.
So I reinstalled Kate, and got the same thing.
What did the Kedit installation mess up, and how I can I fix it so I can use Kate again?
GNU Emacs 23.1.1 I've noticed that if I run Emacs and M-x server-start, I can use the emacsclient program as usual, but if if I start Emacs using emacs --daemon and then try to use emacsclient the new frame locks up and the shell outputs *ERROR*: Arithmetic error. This issue doesn't happen if I use the -t flag to force terminal mode when running emacsclient.

Using the Cups GUI on the fedora-11 box I can find the printer, I get verify that the shared printer exists but still get the message when I try to install it.
