I'm trying to install zabbix-proxy with dpkg -i and not to use dbconfig-common, is a remote installation, I tried using expect to ansewer no to the first dbconfig dialog, the one that asks if you want to configure everything with dbconfig or not.

I have been playing with Nagios and Zabbix all day with not much luck. I have managed to get both installed and running and researched for hours. I just need to figure out how to add domain names to be monitored and I am stuck. I know you have to do it in the conf files but I cannot get a domain to show up?
I recently installed an Ubuntu 10.04LTS server. I have zabbix-server on that machine, and I noticed that after reboot it won't start. Probabily, the mix of upstart and old init.d scripts result in zabbix starting when mysql is not active yet, in fact in zabbix-server.log I see it cannot reach db. How can I make sure zabbix-server waits for mysql?

I'm trying to use the Boot.Fedoraproject.org (bfo) solution to install Fedora 13.
As soon as boot starts it tries to connect to net0 device which faults.
The point is that net0 seems to be my wlan device whereas the LAN connection is defined as net1.
I'm able to break the sequence (ctl-B), open the LAN connection (ifopen net1) and even 'dhcp net1' which results in an 'OK'. (At this point I'm not sure of the real result as I don't see my IP)
In any case so far I can't follow as I don't know the commands I had to put (set. chain, ...). Neither I know how to return control to the original sequence (if it were possible).

I have icu and libicu installed. I've done a find across the whole filesystem and sure enough I don't have an icu-config file. There doesn't seem to be an icu-devel package - at least I can't find it if there is.

It does work with html but not PHP script. And I can't remember how to configure the system to interpret PHP script.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi tried to install f13 from live cd and failed. i have 2 questions. i do not understand how to setup partitions according to scottro's message. It says you need small ext3-formatted /boot partion and a ext4-formatted root partition. Does this configuration have to be setup before you boot into the live cd? If so, please tell me how to set this up. my pc is pentium d with 2 hard drives. The master hd is has xp, ubuntu8.04, and swap partitions. I would like to use one-half of the slave drive for f13.
Second question. I would like to be able to verify download of fedora-13-i686.iso. I downloaded it to my xp partition and installed Windows MD5summer. Where or how do i get the md5 file for this iso file?

Checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
Now I guess I have QT installed and I tried to do the following:
./configure --with-qt-includes=/usr/lib64/qt4/include
but that did not work either.. actually checking further I found that the folder include is missing in usr/lib64/qt4/ !!!!

Doing a fresh F12 install on a Dell Vostro 430. Machine needs to have 2 Network adapters for our setup.The install seems to go just fine but the on board network adapter doesn't appear to get detected/configured. If I look in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts all I find is ifcfg-eth0 and ifcfg-lo. Looking carefully at ifcfg-eth0 I see it's the second card that I've put in the machine.As a test I removed the second network card and did another fresh install of F12. This time in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts all I have is ifcfg-lo. When I go to system>Administration>Network Device Control I see no network devices displayed.
Is this an issue others have seen with F12 or is it possible my on board network adapter has an issue?BTW I did check the BIOS to be sure that Onboard Lan was enabled and it is.output from "lspci -k " with both cards installed on machine (I only listed Ethernet controllers)

Should I install grub on the Windows hard drive or will Windows hate on me for that? Earlier I tried installing grub on the slave with the Fedora system, but I had trouble configuring Grub in a way that it would understand and I ended up messing up the MBRs of both hard drives.
