Ubuntu :: Monitor Multiple Websites Nagios,Zabbix Conf?
I need to find a solution where I can monitor multiple sites at once and know when they go down. There are fraudulent sites (not mine I am in the infosec industry)
I have been playing with Nagios and Zabbix all day with not much luck. I have managed to get both installed and running and researched for hours. I just need to figure out how to add domain names to be monitored and I am stuck. I know you have to do it in the conf files but I cannot get a domain to show up?

General :: Fedora - Determine Which Process Belongs To Which Window In Monitor?
I have Fedora Linux 13 64bit system. I use System Monitor to check which process is taking how much memory and cpu. Normally I have dozens of Chrome and Firefox windows open. The Processes tab shows which process is taking how much cpu/ram resources but I unfortunately there is no option like right click and make the window active that matches the PID (the one process that I have currently highlighted). Usually there is a chrome process taking up 30 or 40 percent of CPU while dozens other chrome processes taking much less cpu. I must determine which chrome window ( or any application which has multiple instances running) is taking that much CPU time.

General :: Ps Show Where Process Is Running From?
Is it possible, using ps, to determine where a process is running from? I have two applications, both are identical and running in parallel directories, such as /app1/start.sh and /app2/start.sh. If I run ps -ef then I'm unable to tell the difference between the two
Using ps (or alternative), how can I tell that PID 123 belongs to app1?

General :: Check If Process Is Running / If Not / Execute Another Script
I have a game server running using java, and it tends to crash sometimes, and only way to start it now is manually, so i thought i could create a script to check periodically if java is running, and if it isn't, run my startup script for the game server also, if it's possible it should log when it actually started the server startup script into a text file or something, so i can check why it crashed.

General :: Get List Of Thread Of Running Process Using C Api (in That Code)?
In short our required is that we are creating a share library which can be loaded by a process and that share library analysis the process which load it. Since share library is in address space of the process so I need to find out how many threads created by the process and what is status of their stack trace etc.
So I am looking for a way to get list of threads in running process.

General :: Specify Password For Sudo Command When Running Bg Process?
I'd like to start a background job using the sudo command and route its output to a file. This presents a problem because the prompt for the password doesn't work properly. It looks something like this when I try it:
Mac:server user$ sudo php crossdomain_server.php > data/crosscomain_output.txt &
Mac:server user$ Password:
+ Stopped sudo php crossdomain_server.php > data/crosscomain_output.txt
Basically I'm not properly prompted for the password and as soon as I type anything in my background job fails because it didn't receive the password. Is there any way to execute a sudo command by supplying the password on the same line as the command?
