View 2 Replies View RelatedThis started happening about 2-3 weeks ago when i noticed our backups weren't running anymore. whenever i try to run ANY type of scp command I get the following error: warning: Unrecognized configuration parameter permitlocalcommand ssh: FATAL: Illegal -o parameter "PermitLocalCommand no" lost connection
I checked the /etc/ssh/ssh_config file and there was a command PermitLocalCommand commented out, but for testing I even totally removed that line and then in scp forced the use of that file via scp -F /etc/ssh/ssh_config ......
and I still get the same error. This command is nowhere is any of my ssh config files so im at a loss here on how im supposed to fix this!! I even checked my home directory for maybe a ssh config file that might be overridding the system config but nothing.
Anyone else SUDDENLY getting this??? Still trying to find why this is happening...

I am trying to upgrade my NAS with anew toolchain, gcc-4.5.2. The NAS have been "hacked" fonz_plug, that contain a gcc version 4.1.3 with uClibc. I have download all needed tar files and done the following. My goal is to upgrade the gcc to 4.5.2 and replace the ucLibc on the system with a GNU libc.
# Pass one

./configure --prefix=/ffp --libdir=/ffp/lib --includedir=/ffp/include --with-gmp=/ffp --with-mpfr=/ffp

I want to recompile apache so I can select a different MPM compile time option. I have looked in the graphical application manager, but I don't see a development version of apache like you do for many of the packages. Am I not looking in the right place for the source code for the Apache 2.2.17 available with FC14?
Alternatively, I can download the source from apache.org for 2.2.17. However, the install options default to a host of different directories than the FC14 version does. Being somewhat OCD I hate to mess up my FC14 system by installing to a bunch of anomalous directories, and I don't want to break anything. I can change the default install directories, if I knew what the FC14 apache 2.2.17 was compiled with. There is an httpd-devel-2.2.17-1 package. But the description makes it sound like it is for developing additional modules. I want to recompile the main httpd-2.2.17-1 package. Does anyone know if this is a possibility?
I split vertically Emacs window to 2 frames. In the left frame I edit the code, in the right frame I navigate through files and directories in Dired mode.It is possible to tell Emacs that anytime I choose the file and press Enter in the right frame, the file will be opened in the left frame?I am almost sure that there is a solution for this but I cannot figure out how to do it, and I was not successful for a moment to google for a correct solution

We make everyday a DB Mysql backup on Linux redhat Enterprise. We are using a bash shell script (and putting it in the crontab) to execute it automatically everyday. We added a line to this script telling, once the backup has completed, to find old backup files (stored on hard disk after each backup) older than x days to remove them. We use the find command (search for file type) with the mtime option and in combination with rm command. Everything runs ok but we also want to add some new code to the same line: If find command cannot find anything or fails, for example if it cannot delete file or fails, send the error message (standard error output) to an error file (like error000001 and increasing) and mail the errorxxxx file to an email address for example to admin@companyname.com. What would be the code for this issue to add it to our find command in the same bash shell script??

Code:
ERROR:gsearchtool-spinner.c:666:bump_spinner_frame_cb: assertion failed: (frame != NULL)
I could locate the reason for this as far as it has something to do with my icon theme. I use Mac4Lin Icon theme, which is the one causing those crashes. With another one it works fine.So the problem is now, that I don't want to change the theme, I want to find out what's the matter and fix it. Because the error message says something about spinner I tried to erase the folders "actions" and "spinner" first, but with no effect, so I restored them. how to find out exactly what's the issue or which icon causes the crash?

I tried using a simple egrep command creating new files by the date _egrep "^Sep 19" filename_ but the command hangs when it hits the I/O Error.
I tried split but it bails out when it hits the I/O Error. Is there anyway to read the file and get past the I/O Error? IS there a way to read the file from the bottom up so I can get the data from the top and bottom?
