When trying to load Qmake project in kdevelop it fails and write: "Could not load project management plugin KDevQMakeManager" and then:
"project importing plugin (KDevQMakeManager) does not support the IProjectFileManager interface."
Does anyone have a recommendation for project management software? We don't need anything too fancy - just boiler plate tasks, time lines, Gantt and Pert charts, etc. We would like to put the area on the web with Apache using SSL/TLS and password authentication or client authentication (and an alternate port).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install Codendi project management software in Ubuntu. this software is recommended to run in lynx by xerox (manufactures of Codendi). Since Ubuntu too is a lynx OS I used that for my installation. My issue is when I try to run the installation script codendi_install.sh the terminal window loads and in few seconds it closes, the script doesn't get executed. when tried from the terminal by navigating to the cdrom, I cant list the files in the CD rom.

After updating CDT installed the plugin but could not create project in C / C + + because they did not appear in the File -> New -> Project. I decided to return to the previous version to see the eclipse in the repositories by default.I did:

That's the error I get. When trying to run a java app with the firefox plugin, the browser simply crashes if it's the 64bit java or tells me it's not installed if it's the 32bit version.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. I think it has something to do with leftover gunk from a previous version I misinstalled(Is that even a word?) Anyway, the only thing that google could come up with was a solution for windows which laid blame on Bill Gates for having a bunch of pf (java prefetch) files stuffed into c:windows for no apparent reason. The solution was to delete them, but I can't seem to find the java prefetch folder in linux. The method I used is downloading the rpm from java.com the rpm2tgz then installpkg then cp libnpjp2.so to firefox plugins folder.

I have just installed the newest version of ubuntu (10.10 the maverick meerkat) and im struggling installing any programs, wine and vlc arnt appearing on synaptic package manager and anything i try to do in either the command promt or ubuntu software centre doesnt work either. trying to install gnucash 2.2.9 from SlackBuilds. I have the current versions of slib and guile installed (slib from slackbuilds and guile from slackware). when installing slib I get the following:

Ubuntu 10.10; Using Rhythmbox 0.13.1 and looking for a plugin that will allow me to love/ban tracks. The integrated Last.fm support is decent, but lacks a few features. I've recently migrated over from Banshee which was constantly crashing upon loading my music library (17,891 songs). So preferably I'd like to stay with Rhythmbox as it's the only player I've found so far that can load all my music without issues.

However, my switch to Linux was for simplicity, stability, fewer crashes,and the open-source software philosophy. However, Ubuntu hasn't been what I am hoping for. While Scientific Linux and Vector seem like good second choices, they don't seem to have the community/enthusiasm that Slackware has. However everything I read is all about "dependency management" w/r/t Slackware. Is this really a big problem? As a newbie, how will I deal with it? I am willing to learn but realize that I am starting from scratch.

According to dell's website its battery should last up to 9 hours:Quote:Mini 10 offers up to 9.5 hours of battery life1 to keep you on the go.I understand that it depends on a variety of factors and these are just testing estimations that will probably never be achieved IRL.For 95% of the time I don't run X on it. I understand that Slackware 13 is not designed specifically for netbooks, but 2hrs is way off the 9-hour estimation. Either the battery is faulty, or it's the power management issue. Before I deal with the battery, I'd like to ask you for some suggestions on improving the power management. The acpi and acpid are installed on the system. Are there any packages that would improve the battery performance? Or perhaps some config options?I believe that recompiling the kernel would improve it, wouldn't it? What options I'd have to set/unset?P.S.Unfortunately, once I checked the netbook is ok, I removed WinXP that came with it, so can't compare with it.

I've been using OpenSUSE 11.4 with GNOME for quite a while now and so far I've been a happy camper. This morning I decided to try GNOME 3 and the install went smoothly, with the only exception of rhytmbox(my music player of choice) not being available.Later I found rhythmbox for GNOME 3 in this repo: Index of /repositories/ GNOME:/ Apps/openSUSE_11.4+GNOME_STABLE_3.0.It works well but the Cover Art plugin won't load because it fails to import python-gstreamer.Should I report a bug against OpenSUSE 11.4 or maybe I am doing something wrong?

The server was rebooted after some firmware upgrade on Network storage and no changes were made to Server Settings. Interestingly this problem is coming only for a particular revision (Tau 3.0) while other revision is working fine. Application (tau 3.0) is available on a network share (mounted on server) and is working fine on other machines.

I reinstalled fedora the other day, and it's been working just fine, apart from the internet. It shows that I have a full connection with the wireless network, but it's really difficult to actually load a page. 80% of the time it just fails and shows "Page Load Error". It's really frustrating because it is connected to the internet. In fact, the icon in the address bar even loads from the site I try to access, but websites just will not load.
I've tested my wireless internet with another laptop which is running vista, and it works perfectly on that. Also, I'm running Fedora 10 on an Acer Extensa laptop.
I've just finished installing slack on my new computer, and after about 20 minutes of hair-pulling agony, I've gotten compiz working properly except for one plugin; the 3D windows plugin (windows hover over cube on rotate). I think it might be a corrupted ccsm- whenever I check the box next to the plugin, then try to rotate the cube, it is unchecked. Anyway, I know my graphics card (Geforce 6200 256Mb pci-e) is powerful enough to handle it since the driver installed properly and the effect worked on the knoppix live disk I used for partitioning. I'm running xfce and using emerald as the window decorator if it helps at all. It does the same thing with both animation packs.

2. How know that the fan is setting for ACPI or my CPU is good cooling
3. What is the KDE package manager for this release
I installed 13.1 on my machine, and now find that Konqueror won't pick up the flash plugin, no matter where I put it. It finds the libnpjp2.so and skypebuttons.so plugins, but not the flash one. Am I missing something, or is it a KDE4 quirk?

Everywhere I look I see different instructions with different directories and it was confusing.So I said just do it like slackware and I got the slackware64-current/source/local/jre directory and build jre-6u25xx86_64-1.txz from jre.SlackBuild and then upgradepkg --install-new --verbose jre-6u20-x86_64-1%jre-6u25-x86_64-1.txzI hope I didn't break my slackware.Before I did that, I disabled my flash plugin in firefox according to some instructions before upgrading jre.Then I went to my vps control solusvm vps control panel and went to console. Nothing.Then I remembered I disabled my flash plugin in firefox. so I enabled it. It's works again. I get the same error as in the picture all over again.So if that doesn't make my vps control panel work, what do I need to do to make it work? I tried in windows and it had to install the flasplayer plugin before it worked - Are there more than one flashplayer plugins?

mei_me: HBM haven't started
mei_me: link layer initialization failed

While it would suggest some sort of hardware problem, this system is working fine with Ubuntu 14.04 & 16.04.
I am trying to do some bandwidth management testing, so I have developed a small script for doing so. When I try to run it it gives the error <error> RTNETLINK answers: invalid argument</error>. I have searched the net, and so far they say it has to do something with the kernel support.
