Ubuntu :: Updating CDT Installed The Plugin But Could Not Create Project In C / C + +?
Feb 16, 2011
I tried to update my eclipse to the Helios version through a PPA, but I wanted to use it for programming in C / C++, in order to integrate it with the NS-3. After updating CDT installed the plugin but could not create project in C / C + + because they did not appear in the File -> New -> Project. I decided to return to the previous version to see the eclipse in the repositories by default.I did:
I was following the help file tutorial for creating a New Java Project using the Eclipse IDE, but neither the finish, the next buttons do anything when I click them... Does anyone know why this is happening, and how can I fix this completely unacceptable issue?
i am working on a project that requires updation after every 10 days that is after 10 days , i have to apply a new release. every time i need to copy all things from one path and paste it to different locations that is a manual work, i want to create a self extractor, in which i have to give only path, that is the path where i need to paste the files.
I needed to create a virtual host for a php project I'm working on. Rather than using command line and text editors, I installed webmin to accomplish this and hopefully perform other server configuration in the future. When I created the virtual host and tried applying the changes Apache wouldn't re-start, and still doesn't restart after complete re-boot. It's getting hung up at the end of apache2.conf, which is trying to include /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default.
When I look at 000-default from a File Browser, it's a linked file to etc/apache2/sites-available/default I can open both the linked file and actual file in a text editor, and it looks fine. When I view the directory, /etc/apache2/sites-available from shell, the default file isn't visible. It seems this "invisibility" is probably related to the error, which is preventing start-up. Can anyone explain why the file would be visible from the Ubuntu File Browser GUI but not from the terminal, and how I can fix so apache can recognize this on start-up?
Our application is based on the C++ devlopment which requires so many of packages dependent on the Ubuntu OS, Graphics libraries, Development packages and other dependent libraries. So we need to configure all those every time in a new PC when we add. Is there any other way to do this job very easily and the any method to create our application executable to run in all PCs with the dependencies packages installed.
I'm trying to use BlueJ 3.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.04, but I can't do nothing. I mean: I can't create new project or open existing one.I installed it twice times without problems.I did not find anything either with google or in the developers' website.
I recently installed Fedora 12 and attempted to create a new java project in Eclipse.I used the 'eclipse' command in the terminal to start eclipse. It starts fine, however, there is no 'java project' option after choosing 'File->New Project'. Only CVS and General projects. I am not experienced enough in programming to understand the relevance/usage of either of these project modes, and only want to be able to write java programs in Eclipse.
Also, does the eclipse that is run from the terminal support c++ development? I have attempted to download eclipse for C++/C developers, but cannot get it to run. Which eclipse is running when I type 'eclipse' in the terminal? Is there a way to make it so I don't have to run this command from the terminal to load eclipse?
i am trying to upload project to a cvs repository installed on centos 5.4. the problem i am facing is that certain folders from the repository dont get uploaded to the cvs. i dont know the exact reason why? i checked the permission on the folder and the file under the hierarchy but there was no issue , all other projects were sucessfully uploaded .
I was interested in trying out Gnash as an alternative to Adobe flash Player so I installed it using synaptic and also ticked the Gnash Mozilla Plugin.Well the plugin is not installed in Firefox? Not there under Tools -Add ons or listed under about: plugins? I tried editing Firefox preferences to use gnash instead of Flash but cant locate the program.Nothing on the internet as far as basic intructions?A system search does finds:/usr/share/app/install/icons/gnash.xpm/usr/share/app/install/desktop/gnash.desktop
There was a kernel update included in my last three attempts of online updating SuSE 11.2 -- all of which which ended with an error, something like kernel rpm could not be installed (one can't copy that out of the YAST-window ).
The new kernel-relevant directories are there under /boot, the original 2.6.31.5 is gone. This produced lots of errors during the next boot until I manually re-assigned links in /lib/modules pointing to the new kernels. "uname -a" shows my old kernel (see also this thread: [url].
I ran "rpm --rebuilddb" and re-tried the installation, all to no avail.
In the message box during install came about 1,5 MB of errors, a brief extract is shown below:
Code:
Any ideas how to proceed? Can one delete the rpm database and rebuild it from the online repositories?
Zen-coding is a great gedit plugin for html & css development.I download the files and unpack them into ~/.gnome2/gedit/plugins/.After open gedit I can't find zencoding in the Gedit Preference.
downloaded the java .bin file from the website and made it excutable and ran in terminal... i got the 'done' message at the end of installation, so i restarted Firefox and verified if i had java. well, i got that message talking about missing plugins... i clicked it and click get missing plugins, It didn't find java on my computer!
I don't like Firefox 4 and 5 so I uninstalled it and installed FF 3.6.19 manually in the /opt directory. It works really well. I wanted to add a java icedtea plugin to FF. But I can't use Synaptics. Synaptics does not see the FF 3.6.19 - it does not know it's there and will try an install FF5 if I use it to install that plugin - makes sense it would do that.
How do I get a java plugin installed considering how FF is implemented on my system?
I can download a deb installer for the plugin and use the archive manager to get manually get files out of it but what I've tried so far didn't work...
Currently i am working in nagios and i have installed check_mysql_health plugin in the nagios monitoring server and after installing this plugin, i removed the MySQL in my system and installed another version of MySQL and now also my plugin is showing the error as
what is the correct process for updating an application installed via the './configure, make, make install' sequence? For example, I have an app checked out via a git repository, on which I run the 'make install' on to install. Then a few days later I run a git pull to update to the latest release, do I just run the same sequence again or should I 'make uninstall' first?
I just switched from Ubuntu to Fedora 12 and I'm trying to get exaile working. However when I double click on a song to play it I get this message Code: A ID3 tag demuxer plugin is required to play this stream, but not installed. I know I have all the gstreamer plugins (ffmpeg, base, good, bad and ugly). What else could be wrong?
I have successfully installed a dual boot system with Fedora 14 on drive sdb and WIN7 on drive sda, with Fedora 14 being the major (default) OS. The system is an AM3 with a quad core CPU and all SATA drives. The drives are set to IDE mode, and I am wondering:-
1. What are the benefits of AHCI - will it improve the speed and responsiveness of my system? And
2. If it is worth installing, do I have to do a complete re-install of the OS, or is there some way of updating the installed Fedora to include and operate with AHCI mode drives?
I'm quite happy with the system as it is now, but if there is a way to squeeze extra speed out of it I'm willing to give it a go. And never having been involved with SATA drives and Linux previously, I'm completely ignorant on the subject.
After installing 11.4/LXDE which comes with FF 4 Beta, The openSUSE Flash Plugin package was automatically installed, but doesn't seem to be installed into FF properly. When FF > Addons is opened, no Flash plugin is listed. If you then attempt to install install Flash from Adobe, Adobe doesn't seem to recognize FF 4 as a supported browser.
On top of that, if you visit the nVidia site to explore OEM display drivers, their site is Flash driven and won't permit driver searching, must less browsing and possible downloading. This was important to me to try to obtain the OEM nVidia Configuration Manager which vastly enhances display management, particularly on the somewhat lean LXDE desktop.
"The playback of this movie requires a SMB protocol source plugin which is not installed." I get this error when I try to play a movie from a samba share. This is a fresh install of Fedora 10 KDE. I installed all the necessary codecs using the rpmfusion repo. Movies play fine if I transfer them to my computer.
I tried the "rpm", the "yum", and the "tar.gz" from the adobe site. Both rpms installed fine but I still can't view flash content in Firefox (missing plugin). The .tar.gz contained a .so file, but the installation instructions for the flash player said I should see an installer file in the .tar.gz, but I do not. I can't believe I can't even get flash player working. Their instructions said to check under "Help > About Plugins" but obviously Firefox does not and has never had such an option. I hate Adobe.
when i got play any movie or song i got some error which show below error:The playback of this movie requires a MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) decoder plugin which is not installed.
is it possible to make an image of my current installed os and settings ,and burn it to a dvd so that i can just install it on other machines without installing all my programs again?this can be done with windows xp discs. you can intregate drivers and software onto the installation cd. is it possible with ubuntu? and how do you do it?
I am learning jquery and I think for the most part I have the basics down. One of the things that I am attempting to do is to create cookies using the jquery cookie plugin. The idea is that I want to replace as much of the javascript in my code as possible with jquery to see the difficulties in doing it one way or the other.
As easy as it seems to be able to create a cookie using the plugin I have not been able to do some successfully and the only thing that I can think of is the way that I am submitting my parameters is not correct. So with that, here is is my code:
