OpenSUSE :: Where To Post OpenOffice Novell Edition Bugs

today I had (once again) a bad experience with the Openoffice.org version shipped with OpenSuSe 11.2 (in this case OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 OOO320m19 (Build:9505) ooo-build 3.2.1.3) which is labeled stable. In calc, double borders (format --> cells --> borders 1,1pt) disappear after saving and reopening. After almost getting crazy and reactually onlyformatting the same spreadsheet far to many times, I realized I was not too stupid hitting the save button and decided to install the plain vanilla version (as I had done on a previous version on my laptop due to another novell edition bug I cannot recall.) Luckily the plain vanilla version has not this bug. However, since I like some of the features the novell edition offers (namely colored tabs and .xlsx export support) and I generally prefer installing software through repositories where possible, and of course because it is my duty as an opensource user. I would like to know were to report a bug that is specific to the version of a program shipped with OpenSuse.
install the firefox 3.6 on opensuse Desktop edition. As my new application software is only supporting 3.6 or greater version of mozilla firefox. i was forced to upgrade or to reinstall my current firefox (version 2.0.0.13). kindly help me and please tell me what is the procedure to install forefox 3.6 or higher version in opensuse 10. i cannot upgrade opensuse 10 to opensuse 11 or 11.3 as my company wont allow me to make modifications in the operating system. i have the latest version of firefox downloaded. the format is tar.gz2 while i am trying to extract it. i find errors in extracting even after extracting successfully i find permission errors.
I've been using ubuntu almost exclusively for more than a year. I am now running 10.04. I was trying via launchpad to post some bugs I've run into in Ubuntu. None of the bugs relate directly to a certain process. And if they do, I have no idea how to find out their PIDs.
I have a problem with installing ubuntu 11.04 I get this message: Code: Hspell: can't open /usr/share/hspell/Hebrew.wgz.sizes It's get stuck with the updating time from internet servers process but I can't find a way to report it to launchpad.
I cannot find where to post bugs in the launchpad anymore? What happened to the launchpad? It's sort of goofy that there is no (report a bug) link anywhere. But if you search bugs then you can see a link to the right, but nothing anywhere else. And even then you can only post a bug regarding that same category and subject. So it would appear the launchpad has a bug, or I just can't figure out how to navigate to report a bug.
When in kubuntu netbook edition 10.04 I select an activity as Desktop, the plasma button dissapears, also I can't add items or lock the desktop widgets. I can drop folders and create icons. Can make them smaller but when I do it I can't make them bigger again!
I've OpenOffice v3.2 installed on my ubuntu lucid lynx. I've recently installed the Sun Weblog Extension on it. It should help me post to my blogs, but as I tried searching the internet I came to find out that I had to install some sort of update. I don't know what that update is. The place where I got that info is from the following online pdf document.[URL].. I also tried looking at some blog posts which tried to explain how to do the setup for the extension. I find that the FC 15 Xfce spin will save the user's current session except that it doesn't save what is being done with the Lyx editor. Under FC 15 Gnome 3, I found that after I added the minimize-maximize-close buttons to the top of windows, that some of the windows in Lyx (such as the one that appears for View as DVIPS) didn't respond to those buttons. (I don't remember whether Gnome 3 saved the Lyx session and I've gotten rid of Gnome 3 now.)
Does anyone know how to contact the people at bugs.kde.org ?I have tried to register but the site is not excepting the @ in my email adress.As a result, I never get the logon info.
I have a strange problem with sound, or maybe It's ok, I dunno. The problem is. The first launched program that uses sound, "takes over" the sound or smth, anyway, all programs, started next, just not play sound at all. The only solution is to close all programs using sound and start one I need to "listen". When I get into sound settings menu and see the list of programs using sound, I see just one started first.
How do I find out which bugs/errors are detected by the system when it is loaded/booted.have seen the emergence of failed in red text briefly but did not have time to read what it says.Would prefer to send a log(file containing error log) so experienced users can see if I done something wrong or if it appears to be ok. but how do I do this?
can i install ubuntu 10.04 Netbook edition in my laptop? Is there any drawback in installing in laptop? which one is better-netbook edition or desktop edition?

I have been setting up a box now and have it configured with everything I need and is running great.I would like to test out the netbook remix edition is there a way to install the desktop environment along site with Gnome (like I use to do with KDE)Would be great so I wouldn't have to re-configure drivers and such.To be able to switch from Gnome environment to Netbook remix environment.I am running Ubuntu 10.04.

I have a box already has openSuse 11 32bits installed. I want to replace it with openSuse 11 64 bits. When I insert the openSuse 11 64 bits CD, I got error message "this is a 32 bit computer. Can not use 64 bit software". so How do I wipe out the old OS (32 bits), and install new OS (64 bits)?
what i want to do is encrypt my entire home folder or at least make a new private folder where everything is encrypted. Previously i had tried to use truecrypt but it didnt work well on opensuse 11.2. Anyone here have issues with truecrypt with opensuse 11.2?

Many people are having trouble with the latest nvidia drivers. I think there might be a pattern and that might lead to a solution; even if that solution is "give up with that card you're using." So, here's the first:
I have been running OpenSuSE 11.1 with the proprietary VNIDIA driver for a year or so and recently upgraded my internet connection from slow old dialup. I installed some software upgrades this made possible but the process failed on some point (I didn't make a note of the details) and the next time I tried to log on it booted up to the CLI. I tried startx and got the message;

When trying to install Novell client (novell-client-2.0-sp2-sle11-i586.iso) on my 11.2 box, I get the following error: "Problem: nothing provides libbfd-2.19.so needed by novell-xtier-base-3.1.6-12.i586". The libbfd library is provided by binutils. I have binutils-2.19.51-10.26.4.i586 installed, and it provides /usr/lib/libbfd-2.19.51.20090527-10.26.4.so. I made symlinks (/lib/libbfd-2.19.so and /usr/lib/libbfd-2.19.so
I use Linux with a lot of pleasure almost 6 years... after installing Ubuntu 10.04 Itried to install openSuSE on with Ubuntu prepared partitions, 20GB for / and 120 for /home. I have tried 4 times to install SuSE, but I have each time same problem. Suse installer shows instead 20 and 120GB partitions 16 and 104 GB and insallation was failed with message that PC probably was attacked. Before was installed excellent worked OpenSuSE 10.3. I have no idea. It's PC with AMD 3200 64-bit, 1GB DDR, Nvidia7300SE.
