I'm having some problems compiling mednafen on Suse 11.4. When I run configure, things work fine until I get the following series of errors:
[Code]...
configure: error: *** OpenGL header file not found! I've seen references in a few places that these type ("Present But Cannot Be Compiled") can usually be ignored, but in this case ./configure fails and I can't make. I am unsure why this is, as I've installed mednafen on Suse 11.4 before and it runs fine. I've tried installing various OpenGL-related packages that I can find (Mesa, freeglut, glib, etc) but nothing seems to solve the problem

The "root - File Browser" comes up and it all seems to work but "what's up with the 3 warnings"?
I keep getting the updates icon popping up asking me to install software that is either already installed (Adobe Flash Player 10.1) or something that fails when I actually try to install is but I am sure it is also already installed (RPM Fusion Repository Config -free and nonfree). When I try to install the RPM Fusion packages it asked me for a Software Signature and then fails with the following message: failed to install signature: Traceback

I have the flash player installed already and I am sure I already installed RPM Fusion. how can I resolve this and stop it from constantly asking me to install these packages?
I'm trying to compile Ardour 2.8.4 under openSUSE 11.2 with VST support. I think I've installed all the dependencies, but when I run scons I come up with this:
Today, shortly after booting my OpenSUSE 11.3 I got this popup. [URL]. I guess it was caused by the Updater Applet when checking the repos for new updates. But what does it mean? Why do I get this now and not when adding the repo. It seems to belong to the filesystems repo and I have indeed added that some time ago (in order to install davfs2). I'm not sure what it means to accept a signature.
Normally with public key infrastructure, you need to accept other's public keys or certificates containing their public keys. And before doing so you need to verify the fingerprint, otherwise the whole procedure is useless, because it might be a fake certificate / man in the middle talking to you. Once you have accepted (trusted) the public key (or a certificate containing it), the system will check signatures for you.
So the question "do you want accept this signature" sounds weird to me. In openSUSE repos I have come across fingerprints many times before. But whenever I have searched google in order to verify the fingerprint I have not received any useful hit. I would have expected that valid keys and their fingerprints are listed on some web site. It appears there are three instances of package signing keys ... but there has not been any answer.
Since there are no new ghostscript in repo for suse 10.2, I went to compile it from sources But, when making I got errors ups/gdevcups.c:4743: error: gx_device_cups has no member named header

Googling about this issue doesn't give me any luck version I'm trying to install is 8.64
When I installed the suse11.3, I running the "uname -r",the system shows "2.6.34-12-desktop",for some reasons,i need the kernel header for "2.6.34-12-desktop". I down the "kernel-source", "kernel-default" and "kernel-desktop" and I check the "/usr/src/" path, but only have these stuff "linux-2.6.34.7-0.7 linux-2.6.34.7-0.7-obj linux-obj", where can I get the kernel -header for "2.6.34-12-desktop".
I was trying to install openSSH on my computer and when I ran ./configure eventually came to this error:checking for openssl/opensslv.h... noconfigure: error: *** OpenSSL headers missing - please install first or check config.log ***
whenever I tried to boot into V1 in the following, it hang.

After using yast2 and install "xen" hypervisor, the bootloader show "V1" as label for Xen kernel, if I choose to boot into V1, it will just hang with very little message on screen:

I am currently running Suse 11.3. I continue to get the following error when logging into the KDE login manager with my user account
"Warning: Cannot open ConsoleKit session: Unable to open session. The name org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit was not provided by any .service files."
After acknowledging the error, it resets back to the login manager screen. If I login with root, I get the same message, but it continues on and logins into the session
I have a fairly old computer, (4 years) it is has an Intel Pentium 4 3,4 Ghz processor with 1,5Gb RAM, and had been running XP Home on a 80Gb HDD. About three weeks ago, I purchased a 500Gb HDD, and disconnected my old drive. I partitioned the new drive to 120 Gb and 380Gb. I put XP Pro on the 120Gb partition, and Ubuntu 9.10 on the balance.
On reboot, startup menu (grub?) gave me the option to boot from, among others, Ubuntu 9.10, and XP Pro. Both worked fine! I then reconnected the old drive, and if I wanted to boot up in XP Home, would tap "F8" on start-up, and select the old HDD to boot from. This was working fine and I was happy with the way it worked! This morning, when I re-booted, the Start-up menu now had XP Home added to the list.
If I select either Ubuntu 9.10 or XP Home, they both work fine, but if I select XP Pro, it give me the message "error: invalid signature" and when I press any key, brings me back to the menu.
I've had a problem doing updates to Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic for months. I'd like to upgrade, but figure I should solve the update issue first. The output of "apt-get update" is:
This is my first post. I am unable to call some of the fftw3 library functions in a very simple fortran code. The code is as follows (the filename is trial.f):
Why am I getting this popup? Is this safe? What's the "dummy" part? This came up right when I started my computer up. kde_popup on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
I have NVIDIA installed and I have the repo installed as well, but I have not made any changes to it. So why all of a sudden am I getting the following popup? Is it safe? Should I accept it?
Code: Do you want to accept this repository signature? package_id: dummy,0.0.1,i386,data repository_name: NVIDIA_Repository_1 key_url: [URL] key_userid:NVIDIA Corporation <linux-bugs@nvidia.com> key_id: F5113243C66B6EAE key_fingerprint: (I'm hiding this just in case it's a security risk) key_timestamp: Thu Jun 15 12:13:18 2006 type: gpg
After booting up openSUSE 11.1 i586 this morning, I got a message I had never seen before:
Repository Signature Required Do you want to accept this repository signature? package_id:dummy;0.0.1:i386;data repository_name: repo-update key_url: [URL] key_useridpenSUSE Project Signing Key <opensuse@opensuse.org> key_id:B88B2FD43DBDC284 key_fingerprint:22C07BA534178CD02EFE22AAB88B2FD43DBDC284 key_timestamp:Fri Nov 7 09:10:07 2008 type: gpg Yes No
So I said Yes. But then it wanted root access, which I declined to provide and canceled the thing, whatever it is. Now, of course, my updater is displaying the yellow triangle with the ! in the center. This is the creepiest thing I have encountered since starting to use openSUSE several years ago. Did this result from some kind of screwup by the folks of openSUSE?
I am trying to install f10 on an old dell dimension 2400 with an old video chipset. Everything was working pretty smooth until I tried installing an .rpm file from a flashdrive. At first, it looked like it was installing the rhpxl file but gave a warning message that said
warning:rpmts_HdrFromFdno:Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, Key ID 4ebfc273
then says the public key will not be installed. Is there a file/command that I can download and run from a flash because I have no capable internet connection because for some reason linux doesn't see it in the install.
I'm interested in GNU/Tiger as recommended by a security guru I know. I did apt-cache search and located the package tiger:Code:tiger - Report system security vulnerabilitiesI also checked the ubuntu web-based package search and found tiger there too along with things like this signed message.Using apt-cache policy, I see this package is universe. I'd like to check the signature/cert/keys of this file before running apt-get install on it to see if it is acceptable given my current apt keys. Can someone explain how to do this? Also, what happens when I try to install a package using "apt-get install" and that package or one of its dependencies is:* unsigned* signed, but not by anyone whose key resides in my apt keyring?
