Initially it was working fine after fedora 15 install.However recently it simply stops responding after a period of time.After reboot, sometimes it does repair itself but again stops working after some time.I'm not aware of any package updateperformed or configuration change that would have impacted it.And it does work intermittently as mentioned above

I recently bought a pack of three keyboards and three mice, and Squeeze hates the mice. Below is the connection output from both mice. The new mice will work for about a minute, disconnect, then reconnect. The older v1.10 mouse works flawlessly.

I am trying to use my Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse (it has left button, right button and the wheel button) in Ubuntu 9.04.I would like to use the wheel button to perform the same task as backspace key in firefox browser and file browser. I have hunted around the net for the past two weeks and found many articles on imwheel and editing x11config files but they all are for 5 of 7 button mice. I have installed and used imwheel -c which tells me that it is "wheel: Left Button 6". However as a total beginner with Linux I am not sure what to do from here. I am hoping that someone would be kind enough to give me a reasonably detailed explanation of what I need to do. If someone could spend some time to list what files I need to edit and what I need to insert into them for this mouse I would be grateful.

My wireless mouse stopped working about a week after i bought it. i replaced the batteries, and tried restarting my computer. I also tried putting the receiver in all of the other usb ports, to no avail. Where is the driver software that was installed when the receiver was plugged in located on my computer? I plan to un-install this and hope that it works when it is installed again.

I need to get the comparative info off the new desktop, but I am currently hampered by the old mouse and the bug, whereby when I asked for the LXDE desktop I also got Gnome installed, and Lightdm ignores my request to start LXDE and dumps me in Gnome!!
The main differences that I have found was in the modules where the 32 bit one uses uhci_hcd, while the 64 bit one uses xhci_hcd. The dmesg section is like the above, finding the Unifying device, but is missing the last line where djdevice finds the mouse..
I've troubles with wireless keyboard and mouse on openSuse 11.3, XFCE. The keyboard is A4tech GL100 and mouse A4tech G7-630 working on 2.4 GHz. The mouse after few seconds of inactivity switches off and I have to click to bring it working again. The keyboard is set to CZ, but always after start automatically switched on ENG, I have to go to Yast and open keyboard setup and close even if the CZ is selected to force the CZ layout.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used a quite obscure device called Cideko AK0b [URL] .... for quite some time now and it has worked perfectly for almost 2 years now, both in Wheezy and in Jessie. However since I made an dist-upgrade a while back the mouse has totally stopped working. The system works through wifi - strangely enough - but everything else works. Keyboard and gamepad buttons. The manufacture says the things doesn't work on linux and so far I have proved them wrong.
But now the mouse is just out right dead no matter what I do. Have looked into mouse autosuspend but no avail so far. My suspicion is systemd but that is as good as any guess.
Running 3.14-2-amd64.

I use a Kensington Wireless Netbook Mouse.It has worked well in Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04.For some reason in 10.10 it works, but every now and again it sticks for a second or two. Sometimes the left button stops working.If I pull out the dongle for the mouse and put it back in my mouse works fine.

The audio from the PC comes through ok when listening to music and movies. But unfortunately I can figure out how to enable the audio passthrough from my Tv so that the audio comes out of my theatre kit. In Sound Preferences, the hardware is set to 1 Output / 1 Input [Digital Stereo (IEC95 Output + Digital Stereo (IEC95 Input]. When I click on the audio tab, the Input Volume is at 100% and the Input Level is moving in conjunction with the audio coming from the Tv.
I saw it mentioned in another thread to install Gnome Alsa Mixer which I've done, it seeems to identify the audio chipset as Realtek ALC882, the motherboard is an Abit AB9 Pro. Hopefully I'm missing some config somewhere or there a box I should be ticking but I just can't find it.
I migrated to 10.04 (clean install) from 9.10 recently. I have no problems with internal sound card playback but cannot get the USB Creative Audigy Optical port working. I have defined it as Digital Output in Pulse Audio and when an application plays audio I can see Pulse Audio showing output but no output from the Audigy.
I would appreciate if anyone has come across this problem and if so could give some pointers to fix this issue.
I am using fedora 14. Previously my mouse pad was working fine, but I don't why it stopped working now.This happens only in gnome desktop as a root user, it is fine in other users. i'm using fedora 12 on my new EASYNOTE_TJ65-DM-139IT [URL]... from time to time (about one time a day) computer freeze, i cannot use my keyboard, mouse still work (that is: i can move the pointer on the screen) but click on opened windows, button, menu doesn't do nothing. I can't understand what's the problem and how to solve it, all i can do is hardware turn off the computer and reload fedora. This is quite disappointing, hw power off it every day can harm my notebook.

My USB mouse stops working sometimes after 5 mins, sometimes 30 mins. Used two different '"corded" USB mice, different USB ports. Same issue. The power to the mouse itself seems to turn off as the laser light is off. Unplugging and replacing does not fix, only a reboot. Same problem with Ubuntu and Mint.

Just this past couple of days, the 'right-click' on the mouse (whether using the trackpad mouse on the latop or an external mouse) has stopped working, but not completely. I can still right-click in firefox, on the bar at the top of screen, in a terminal window, etc. However, right-click is not working on the desktop, that is I can not right-click on a folder or a file. Nothing happens. If I right-click on the trash-can, nothing. So I know the mouse buttons are fine as right-click does work in firefox.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 recently converted to run Fedora 13. Everything seems fine except the touchpad mouse doesn't work outside the X-Window. I installed Fedora 11 on an external usb HDD (StoreJet trascend) connected to my Acer AspireOne (110 L), and it has been working marvelous for over a month. Today, something really strange happened: After I choose the booting media (StoreJet trascend) Fedora 11 freezes on the loggin screen: Both, keyboard and mouse, stop working. Wondering if USB devices such as a wireless mouse suppose to automatically be detected by F11. I tried plugging my wireless mouse in to my F11 laptop and its not working..I'm I suppose to do something to get it to recongize it? View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running Fedora 12 on a Shuttle SN78SH7. Updates are all current from the Fedora repositories. I'm using the Nouveau driver for the Shuttle's on-board Nvidia graphics adapter. At random intervals (1 to 5 times per day), my USB keyboard and the buttons on my USB mouse stop working and the desktop freezes (i.e. GKrellm graphical data stops updating, partially painted windows don't complete). However, I can still move the mouse pointer around the desktop. This only seems to happen when I am actually using the computer from the console. It has never happened while the system was turned on, but not being used.
When the mouse and keyboard stop working, I can log in from another computer via ssh. Once the computer gets in this state, the only way to fix things is either to reboot remotely using ssh or to cycle power. I've run low level hardware diagnostics - everything checks out OK. This computer only has USB and firewire inputs. No PS2 jacks.
