An FTP authentication failure occurred while trying to retrieve the URL: [URL]
Squid sent the following FTP command:
PASS <yourpassword>and then received this reply User anonymous cannot log in.Your cache administrator is root.
I'm able to browse anonymous FTP sites like ftp://ftp.ea.com, but not any with authentication.

http_access allow ftp
but still can't connect. I also can't connect to secure port 443 for an application in th network.
when i connect the machines outside te SQUID i can use the ftp and secure ports.
On the server having live ip address, I have installed vnc server using:

INTEL e1000 2 port NIC
It seems no CD-Rom was found by SLES as well as no NIC was found. So I can't start install nor using CD or LAN. I started booting from OES SP2 CD 1. The boot loader started normally, but when I chose Installation it says Could Not Find the SLES 9 Installation CD. Activating Manual Installation.
Here in the manual installation screen I check System Information - Hard Disks and CD-Roms It says No Hard Disks or CD-Rom drives have been detected so far Then
1. I erased the BIOS/HD through RBSU
2. downlaod Driver Diskette for HP U320 SCSI Adapter, SAS HBA with RAID, SCxxXe and SCxxGe series HBA (x86 and AMD32) for SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (x86)
3. startfed installation again.
Now I can see in the manual installation screen - System Information - Hard Disks and CD-Roms MY RAID 1 ARRAY 278GB, but still NO CD-ROM, NO NICS at ALL. Also I have recently updated all firmware, tried changing CD/DVD-Rom adding ordinary SATA HDD, and the result is the same - no CD, no HDD is seen. So I suppose the linux kernel doesn't support my motherboard SATA channels? Additionally, I tried to install SLES 10 SP3 (OES2) and it was success, all the hardware were detected including CD and NICs How can I add driver prior to installation or install using my array HDD?

One site only has a single domain whereas the other site has two domains registered. surrounding my one virtual host with the two domains. I want anyone that point to [URL] gets redirected to [URL]. I am trying to do this for trending but not 100% on how to go about doing this. I've read about mod_rewrite but most of the information I've read about is about a single site running on Apache and not much around Virtual Hosting within Apache. I am currently using Server Alias within my vhost.conf file which allows either [URL] or [URL] to see the site but I really want to redirect [URL] to [URL].
View 12 Replies View RelatedIt seems that every time there is vmware client update a couple of my Linux servers always reboot and get stuck at booting up because linux can not start a drive. I end up having to boot off the server did, run install and then run a auto repair to get it to boot up. I tried narrowing the repair to just the file systems but that did not seem to fix it, it has to be a autorepair. So I am thinking that with the vmware client there must be some virtualized hardware address that has changed with the updated client but I am not sure how to check what it is when I get dumped out to what looks like run-level 3 command prompt

When I use the function "Connect to server" / ssh and leave the "folder" field empty and log in, I am taken to the file system root level (/) on the remote system..!! Is this behaviour really the intention? I am really surprised, I would expect to automatically end up in my own home folder on the remote server.
Is there any way to avoid this, except entering "/home/myname" in the folder field? I tried $HOME, ~/, ~, but I got error messages on all.
It is not always obvious where your own home folder is in the remote file system, it might not even be a unix.
I should mention that when I do a command line sftp connection (sftp name@host) to the same server it works as I would expect. So this sftp GUI must do it differently?
I run my own mail server. There's only one part that isn't working and I can't seem to figure out why: sending mail from a client - in this case, Thunderbird.
I can send mail off-server just fine if I log in via telnet. I can receive email just fine with Thunderbird.

I couldn't connect my Micromax 300G modem in Debian Linux. From internet (in Windows Vista), I came across the information of USB_ModeSwitch and then I downloaded it. While going to install it, I came across the problem that TCL-interpreter is not available in Debian Linux. Then again I restarted my laptop in Windows Vista and connected my Micromax modem and from internet downloaded TCL8.5.10-src.tar.gz. But while going to install it, I came across the problem that " configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH " . Also as presently, I am unable to connect my modem therefore I am unable to issue the code:" apt-get update ".

This script, I want to go out to the server hostnames we have specified (in another file) and change a users account password. We use Kerberized telnet, so if telnet root hostname fails, I want it to use ssh username hostname and use the old password (specified). If both fail, I want it to ask the user what the port should be and input the port in the ssh command.
But I'm having a issue having it try telnet root hostname and if it fails then, try to ssh in, I have no clue how to have it proceed. Is it an if statement? Here's the telnet failed message: telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

We have SSG5 Juniper Firewall set up to route traffic from our trusted network 192.168.50.0/24 to our DMZ 93.153.125.224/28I can connect / ping all Windows servers which are in DMZ. When I try to connect my Debian server instead of one of the server's static IP I'm unable to connect or ping to it. The server itself is able to connect to internet resolve DNS if I allow connection to our trusted network I'm able to ping or connect to any computer in trusted network but still unable to ping from trusted to DMZ. The SSG5 policy is set up to allow any connection from trust to DMZ and interface is set up to route all traffic.I have tried to trace the ping It'll go through firewall right to the interface needed but then it'll time out as like the server is not connected at all.

I installed dovecot on my server and now the imap and pop3 ports are open.But when I want to telnet it, it's not possible.Code: Trying 127.0.0.1...telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out.Also I can't any ports else. But I can connect to it from other computers. I tried to connect to this from my PC and it was successful.

I have a Ubuntu server (10.10) setup with apache and is being port NAT'ted via firewall from outside to the webserver.I am able to access the webserver from inside LAN but not from outside. NATs are working fine because I can see the traffic come through on tcpdump but the webserver will not respond to the request from outside ip address.Here are the tcpdumps.
