I installed the tracker plugin for Evolution, but it is not sending any information to the tracker search engine. The tracker icon shows that the email indexing is working but nothing happens. It shows always 0%.Does someone have an idea what the problem might be?
View 1 RepliesTitle explains it all. The tracker plugin is enabled and it shows up in do's action list but when I try to search nothing happens... no windows, no errors, just a big silent nothing.

Does anyone else have the same problem (and preferably a solution as well)?
I use the latest Fedora 14 with Evolution 2.32.1 and Tracker 0.8.17.In Evolution is the tracker plugin enabled, tracker is not indexing my email.It says in the status: Filesystem 100%, Email 0%, Applications 100% Why are the Emails in Evolution not indexed?

In the torrents that do no get downloaded, I get an error message Tracker responded: Unknown error (0) in the info window, tracker tab. But there are torrents with the same tracker that don'thave a problem and get downloaded fineThe logs don't give a clue about whats wrong either.I tried downloading those torrents with Vuze and I had the same problem. I read that (1) firefox 3.6 is supported, but it may not work on distributions where a custom patch has been applied on the gecko engine. Is this the case of ff 3.6 on fedora 13?

I have never had a problem with flash plugin before. Just recently I decided to try gnash to see if it plays flash videos better then flash plugin (it doesn't). So I updated flash plugin from the 10.0 r32 version to the 10.0 r42 version and went under Tools > Add-ons > Plugins in Firefox and disabled the gnash plugin and re-enabled the flash plugin and now flash does not work any more. I've tryed uninstalling gnash, reinstalling flash plugin, reinstalling Firefox. Flash just will not work. Flash works in Google Chrome or if I run Firefox as root.
I have Fedora 12 32bit
I disabled the new version of flash plugin (10.0 r42) and re-enabled the old version (10.0 r32) and now flash works. I dont understand the new version of flash plugin works but only in Google Chrome or if I run Firefox as root?! Also Firefox (as my user) shows both versions of flash plugin 10.0 r32 and 10.0 r42 Firefox as root and Google Chrome only show the new version.
I have installed a fresh fedora 13. I was trying to install Sun Java so I just followed the instruction given here. everything went al-right and I am now able to open Java applications. The problem is that I can't get the Firefox Java plugin to work! Bug is apparently due to the version of libsoup that Evolution is compiled against.Install is relatively fresh; about a day old. Packages are the latest updates.

Since a week or two, clicking a link to a pdf file will not load in Firefox. I tried removing Adobe Reader and reinstalling it. Then the pdf files loaded, but now again they will not load. It just stopped working! No error messages.

I was trying to see if there was a way to integrate it into Nautilus, and I stumbled upon this: [URL]. Which, of course, doesn't work for me! (Fedora 10). One thing to note is that they say to install python-nautilus, which I couldn't find, so I installed nautilus-python instead... just a different name for different distros or are they actually 2 different packages?

I just noticed that it is available for SUSE, and figured that since KDE is the principal desktop supported by KDE the SUSE version may be fixed. Before I go through the very tedious process of getting the SUSE version to compile on Fedora, I'd like to know whether anyone has seen these problems with the SUSE version of Evolution:It ignores font control from the KDE Settings->Applications Appearance window, both KDE font control and GTK+ font control, also its own internal font control window.
It has trouble sending messages to an SMTP server, sometimes taking a l-o-n-g time, sometimes timing out. This can be temporarily cured by restarting it It crashes when a filter attempts to refile an outgoing message. It often asks if I want to recover messages that have never been lost. It often locks up receiving mail from a remote POP3 server. I can live with these, except for items 1 and 2, since I have workarounds. If you are fairly sure that you have not seen these problems with the SUSE version of Evolution
I have a Dell Latitude D530 Laptop (500 GB HDD). Installed Windows XP and then Ubuntu 10.10 to do dual boot. everything works fine in Windows XP.In Ubuntu 10.10 I had issues connecting to Internet(Through Wirelss), I was able to rectify this issue by dsiable ipv6 from firefox about:config and setting true to network.dns.disableIPv6. After this I was able to connect to internet and browse websites from Firefox.But I am having Issues with Evolution Mail(Connection Timed Out) and Google Talk Client(Connection Timed Out).Empathy Internet Messaging gets connected fine.I was wondering if I will have to disable IPv6 System wide and hence I added the following lines to /etc/sysctl.conf

I had configured the evolution to send/recive email. After it had been configured, it could receive emails. Suddendly it can't fetch email anymore. In the inbox of evolution, there were about 200 emails. There are maybe 5K emails in the server, I guessed. I'm not sure whether it's the problem that there's one email in the server too big, so the evolution can not fetch it. The error of evolution is: error while fetching email. Evolution version: Evolution 2.28.0. OS version: Linux xxx2.6.32.9-70.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Mar 3 04:57:21 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I'm sure my network is fine, I use pop3 to receive email.

i'm having problems with the flash plugin. a lot of sites that use flash for buttons and things just won't work. this happens a lot with videos videos posted on blogs and such, although they seem to work, mostly but not always, on the actual videos website. i didn't have this problem with earlier versions of flash, is it possible to downgrade the version i'm using? using 10.04lts 64 bit. i installed flash via synaptic, flashplugin-installer 10.1.82.76
