I want to synchronize my Blackberry 9300 with Evolution. I found some guides and "how to" but all that required the OpenSync's Evolution plugin. I can't find taht plugin in the official site of the project. Do you know where I can find it?

I'm trying now to migrate to F12 but my Nokia E71 doesn't connect.

Running it from a terminal, every few minutes this happens:(evolution:25607): libsoup-CRITICAL **: set_ current_request: assertion `priv->cur_req == NULL' failed Segmentation fault..Found lots of cases that mention Gentoo (and Evolution 2.4) and this bug, but nothing with Debian. Bug is apparently due to the version of libsoup that Evolution is compiled against.Install is relatively fresh; about a day old. Packages are the latest updates.

I wanted to do this so I could have all my mail stored local and be able to search and work offline if need be. I'm now logged in via Evolution and can read my mail. I have the INBOX folder configured with "Copy folder content locally for offline operation" checked. But it's only storing each of the messages I actually read. I have over 9000 messages in this and other folders, so clicking on each of those is not practical. How can I trigger a "download everything in this folder" operation? I don't see anything obvious in the menus. I tried some things mentioned in the FAQ that might have implied this, such as double clicking the folder. But nothing is pulling down all the mail into local, besides doing it one by one for each message I manually read.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI changed to ubuntu 10.10 I have setup my gmail account on the Evolution client, and has downloaded like a third of my inbox emails in the first syncro. Ever since it hasn't downloaded any newer email after that even when several have passed.
Is there any configuration I should use to tell the inbox to go over a fixed capacity or something like this?
I have a Power PC G4 Dual 1GHz Processor desktop and running Ubuntu Gnome 10.x.I cannot use any of the plugins on Adobe's Flash plugin download page- they all seem to require i386 series processors. Is there an alternative? Maybe from the Linux community that will work with the PPCG4 and also Ubuntu?

Evolution won't auto download mail and if I do it manually by clicking Send/Recieve it shuts down. When I restart it the new emails appear.
If I go to Edit and click on Preferences Evolution locks up and I must force it to shut down in order to restart it.
Basically it's become next to useless.
I've tried using synaptic to Reinstall and Completely Remove the application however when I reinstall the same problems are there.
Is it possible to re-set it back to defaults? I don't mind if I loose all information as I can back up easily enough.
I've been running the Evolution mail system under Fedora-15/KDE for about a month now, and it has some very serious problems. I just noticed that it is available for SUSE, and figured that since KDE is the principal desktop supported by KDE the SUSE version may be fixed. Before I go through the very tedious process of getting the SUSE version to compile on Fedora, I'd like to know whether anyone has seen these problems with the SUSE version of Evolution:It ignores font control from the KDE Settings->Applications Appearance window, both KDE font control and GTK+ font control, also its own internal font control window.
It has trouble sending messages to an SMTP server, sometimes taking a l-o-n-g time, sometimes timing out. This can be temporarily cured by restarting it It crashes when a filter attempts to refile an outgoing message. It often asks if I want to recover messages that have never been lost. It often locks up receiving mail from a remote POP3 server. I can live with these, except for items 1 and 2, since I have workarounds. If you are fairly sure that you have not seen these problems with the SUSE version of Evolution
I had configured the evolution to send/recive email. After it had been configured, it could receive emails. Suddendly it can't fetch email anymore. In the inbox of evolution, there were about 200 emails. There are maybe 5K emails in the server, I guessed. I'm not sure whether it's the problem that there's one email in the server too big, so the evolution can not fetch it. The error of evolution is: error while fetching email. Evolution version: Evolution 2.28.0. download failed The Flash plugin is NOT installed. In that archive the file adobe-flashplugin_10.0.42.34.orig.tar.gz is missing, but there is a file for 10.0.45.2. I couldn't figure out how I can install this version (does not even show up when I select all software sources including backports).
Finally I got success in setting up of CDMA USB modem but I could not access the internet or browse the internet. I can only download message and send messages using through evolution. But can browse internet.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been using Fedora 14, which has Evolution 2.32.1 but have recently also installed openSUSE 11.3, which has Evolution 2.30.1.2. I would like to make openSUSE my primary distribution, and so I would like to restore my Evolution settings from Fedora, but Evolution complains that the backup file is invalid. I have tried copying the folders in the backup to their appropriate locations in openSUSE with no luck. I have also tried manually copying with instructions for older versions of openSUSE, but with no luck.
An obvious guess at what might be the problem seems to be that I am trying to restore settings from a newer version to an older version? An obvious thing to try would be to upgrade to Evolution 2.32, but Evolution has a long list of dependencies so before jumping into that fun I thought I would ask if anyone else has had similar problems and found a straight-forward solution. I still have access to my emails in Fedora so this is not hugely pressing, and if upgrading to 11.4 will do the trick then I can just wait for that.

Because the exchange plugin didn't work i uninstalled evolution and removed the ppa. Now when i try to install evolution from the software centre i get this: Package dependencies cannot be resolved This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time.

I have just installed the newest version of ubuntu (10.10 the maverick meerkat) and im struggling installing any programs, wine and vlc arnt appearing on synaptic package manager and anything i try to do in either the command promt or ubuntu software centre doesnt work either.
