Ubuntu :: Setting Evolution Message Filter For New Email?

May 21, 2010

I have had a search for this problem, but have not found a match: undoubtedly it is so straightforward that no-one has needed to ask it before: I have two accounts in Evolution, work and gmail. I would like my work email (which I check via IMAP) to be copied locally as it comes in so that I can file it properly, but also kept on the server so that I can access through my laptop.

I have set a message filter which does the following:
Code:
IF
status is not read
THEN
set status read
copy to folder Inbox
Stop processing
The filter works (if I apply manually then it goes) AND I have set the preferences to apply filters automatically, but no joy when a new email arrives.

Security :: Iptables 1.4.1 Mac Module Doesn't Work (error Message) - Fedora Core 8

Nov 25, 2010

I use iptables firewall (v1.4.1) installed on FC8. I'm trying to limit the inflow traffic for the port 1723 to certain MAC addresses. To experiment with the mac option, I've written the following iptables rule:

Quote:

iptables -A INPUT -m -mac --mac-source 10:08:08:08:08:10 -j ACCEPT

It didn't work. It gave me this error message:

Quote:

iptables v1.4.1: Couldn't load match `-mac':/usr/local/libexec/xtables/libipt_-mac.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information. Does that mean the mac module wasn't installed/enabled?

Fedora :: F15 And Evolution Message Read Timeout

Jun 9, 2011

I installed fresh installation of F15 and I've allways used Evolution as my mailclient. There was in older Evolution versions option "Mark message as read in X secs" I set that to zero to read emails smoothly, now I have to wait after every message that it's got "as read" and that's really annoying especially if it's automatically sent message from server that I don't really have to "check" it just click it to get it as read. I've been gone thru all the settings of current Evolution in F15 and haven't found anymore that option. Maybe there's conf file somewhere that I can put that? That "Help" page for Evolution is kinda outdated.

Fedora :: Error While Fetching Email. Evolution Version: Evolution 2.28.0

Apr 5, 2010

I had configured the evolution to send/recive email. After it had been configured, it could receive emails. Suddendly it can't fetch email anymore. In the inbox of evolution, there were about 200 emails. There are maybe 5K emails in the server, I guessed. I'm not sure whether it's the problem that there's one email in the server too big, so the evolution can not fetch it. The error of evolution is: error while fetching email.
