When I use evolution to encrypt an email I get the following error

Hi I am running a fedora 10 desktop. when i send an email using evolution the message was not sent but returns a error message:"Error while performing operation.DATA command failedError: 550 Viagra SPAM - Hi in Subject" and the message did not have an attachment just plain words. what might have gone wrong for i have been using this for sometime without a problem. or what security measures should be in place to remove this viagra spamAm I infected by virus on this fedora, all my updates are up to date.

While installing linux, i got error message when i tried to create LV for /boot... i checked with my friends n they told me that /boot should be a standard partition... why is that, i asked them but they had no good explanation for it... could someone please explain me why do we create standard partition for /boot, why can't i use LV??? also i heard that its good practice to create separate partitions (LV or standard) for /, /home, swap & other major directories instead of 1 partition for all these.

I'm trying to install OpenSuse 11.2. During installation there's a problem. It offers to create an LVM with encryption. That's fine. The problem is: it only uses 15GB of my 250GB hard drive. When I try to alter the partitions, I can't. When I try to remove the partitions and create new partitions myself it seems OK but a few minutes later the installation quits with 0333. I googled on resizing the LVM, but it brought me nowhere. There seems to be no working manual on how to do that. How do I install my system without having over 90% of my disk unused?

I am building an active directory and using BIND9 as my DNS. To allow for secure dynamic updates from the domain, I am enabling GSS-TSIG as detailed here and here. Unfortunately, some of the commands and configurations used here seem to be depreciated, at least in the newer versions that I'm using. My issue is one of keytab encryption. I generated a keytab using ktpass.exe on the Windows Server 2008 domain controller. I have tried DES/MD5, AES128/SHA1 and AES256/SHA1, each have been turned down by ktutil on the kerberos server (FreeBSD). Each time, it outputs the following error: ktutil: AES256/SHA1*: encryption type AES256/SHA1* not supported *Respective to encryption used.
I cannot find a list of suitable encryption schemes that ktutil will accept. The FreeBSD handbook details a means of producing a keytab file, but I'm not sure how to configure the Domain Controller to use the keytab.

Im trying to instal Sun Virtualbox but when download completes and I click on install I get the following error>>Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) I wont even bother with this software if there are others out there that are as easy to use. I used it on Windows and thought it was great ! (thats how I eventually switched to Linux, by using it virtually at first)

I have had a search for this problem, but have not found a match: undoubtedly it is so straightforward that no-one has needed to ask it before: I have two accounts in Evolution, work and gmail. I would like my work email (which I check via IMAP) to be copied locally as it comes in so that I can file it properly, but also kept on the server so that I can access through my laptop.
I have set a message filter which does the following:

THEN
set status read
copy to folder Inbox
Stop processing
The filter works (if I apply manually then it goes) AND I have set the preferences to apply filters automatically, but no joy when a new email arrives.

I have an email alias and I want to capture some items in the email body and put it in a database.
I'm using Linux and Bash.
In /etc/aliases I have:

If I just run /usr/bin/bexpense with as "bexpense test test" I get "test test" in bexpense.out. If I send email to bexpense@myserver.com, I get a blank line in bexpense.out. How do I get the subject and body of the email?

We have a new test trigger that fires on an insert to a table. If the person has a personal email address on file, we want to send the notice to this email address. The trigger works fine if we send the email to an internal email account inside the firewall, but when we try to direct the message to an outside email account it fails. We are running Oracle 10.2.0.4.
We have tried to identify the mail server and port and allow messages from the Linux server (RHEL 4.2 x86-64), but we must be missing something. What steps are needed to accomplish this on Exchange 2003?

Did anyone heard about or can suggest mabe a postfix serverside solution in order to insert a counter number into the subject line before the message is sent?
I mean something similar with helpdesk tickets, because I would like to create the possibility for the senders, to make further refference about a speciffic message using it's counter number provided by postfix server.

i am reading on sendmail and so far my impression is, we must create users on the system (where sendmail is installed) for them to be able to access their emails. I wanted to ask that is it possible to create users for email only and not on the system ? Like lets say i want to create a user client named noony, who gets and sends his email to my sendmail server, but i dont want to actually create the user on my system ?

Id like to ask you some advice. Im currently using as mail server Lotus Domino. Because of many reasons I need to create an SMTP server that receive the email from Dominothat relay those email into an authenticated SMTP on the internet. How can I do that? I create a Debian virtual machine and I installed Postfix. I edit the config file and set the relay host (authenticated SMTP on internet),the mtp_sasl_auth_enabled and smtp_sasl_password_maps parameters. Trying to encrypt my partitions for swap, root and /home directories. However, when I go to partitioner and select the drives as sdb1, sbd2 or sbd3 and click on the encryption. It errors with a -3016 error. Can't find anything in the release notes or the security documentation that would lead me to why this screen is popping.

Using SUSE 11, I'm trying to change my existing login user id HOME directory to use encryption. I use YAST to do this, just by clicking the ENCRYPTION box inside the USER AND GROUP MANAGER tool.I receive this error message -- "Not enough disk space left to copy existing data".Which file system do I need to add space to?Here are the filesystem existing sizes --

Running ubuntu 10.10 here, brand new install/machine.USB wireless based on a realtek chipset. I spent a few days trying ndiswrapper, and now have the native driver up and running. I can see the network(s) but can't connect. If I encrypt the network, i get a bad password error from wicd network manager (All encypt. methods- Weps, WPA etc) If I open my wireless up with no encryption, i receive a "can't obtain IP" error.

I been running both OS's for a few months now with no major problems besides wireless internet issues. Today, however, as I go to boot my laptop up, the Dell logo loads with the F2 and F12 boot and setup options which both work. Directly after that though I get the message "GRUB loading. Symbol '?' not found. Aborted. Press any key to Exit." then it repeats when I push a key, and then it tells me to press F1 to retry, F2 to go to setup, or F5 to run diagnostics. It passes all the tests in diagnostics. I've tried booting off of the ubuntu cd I used to load it initially with no luck. So I'm stuck at either that error message or in setup but I can't go any further, and it does not change anything when I tried to boot from the cd.

I have Ubuntu Jaunty & Linux Multimedia Studio 0.4.2. In attempt to update to LMMS 0.4.5, I downloaded & attempted to install : lmms_0.4.5~ppa-1jaunty_i386.deb and got the following error message : Error : Dependency is not satisfiable : lmms-common (=0.4.5~ppa-1jaunty). What went wrong and is there an easier way to update ? Also, should I remove the older version or just install the latest on top of it ?

Transmission offers to run a script when a download is complete.
I'd like that script to create a popup message saying "Download Complete" (including the name of what was completed if possible otherwise just generic "DL complete")
I tried 'man notify-osd' and 'notify-osd --help' but it is not found.
Yet it is installed by default.
The message must stay up until clicked on so that if something finishes overnight, the msg is still there in the morning.

(Oh and the index.html file was created by root, it's a blank file and can be deleted)

I'm trying to install ubuntu 10.10 on xp,but, after waiting around 2 hours per instalation I received a error message that says:" unbuntu installer : and error occurred: coercing to unicode: need string or buffer, none Type found. for more information see log file C:1customerlocals-1 empwubi-10.10-rev197.109. I tried on one particion make just for it then I even tried on xp on C: I even put it on a pendrive but my bios is old and do not provide for usb booting. The other thing I have to try is making a boot cd but for one reason or the other , my recorder do not want to recornized my cds- rw and right now I do not have any regular blank cds . That will be my next step. Note: Ubuntu appears installed on the the control panel "add or removed programs" but not in "all programs" list. I'm a novice on this so maybe the answer was posted but I couldn't find it. Looking ahead to try it and be part of the linux team.
