I've setup DHCP and a DRBL server on my box running Lucid, and everything is working fine except TFTP.TFTP is configured, but when I try to start it with:Quote:service tftpd-hpa startThe following is returned:Quote:

Hi I am running a fedora 10 desktop. when i send an email using evolution the message was not sent but returns a error message:"Error while performing operation.DATA command failedError: 550 Viagra SPAM - Hi in Subject" and the message did not have an attachment just plain words. what might have gone wrong for i have been using this for sometime without a problem. or what security measures should be in place to remove this viagra spamAm I infected by virus on this fedora, all my updates are up to date.

Each time after boot, I have to wait for proximately 2 minutes before Firefox starts showing any web pages. I'm trying to send the results of a command line $du --max-depth=1 to a zenity message box.I want to create a .sh script that I can run as a Nautilus script that will open a zenity message box with a listing of sub-folders/sizes. $DU with options, will provide the results in a terminal window, but I can't seem to get it into a zenity message box. I've tried gxmessage also, but no go.

What does this error message in `/var/log/auth.log` mean? It's showing up at about a rate of 1 per second. My indicator applets are missing as are my status bar icons. The desktop icons are flashing on and off at a rate of about 1 per second.

A little prior to this I installed Wine beta using Ubuntu Software Centre, then applied the multiuser wine recipe as noted here [URL] /showthread.php?t=917422&), then installed a game called ToonTalk3 [URL], and then tried to install DirectX 10 as per these instructions [URL]
The directx install stalled with a series of messages about being unable to copy certain dll files. I aborted the install, using the install wizard's abort command. It was a bit after this that I noticed the flashing symptoms. They may have been there earlier but I usually run my apps full screen so wouldn't have noticed.
I've reversed the wine multi-user configure, again using the recipe, and run `sudo apt-get purge wine1.2`, and logged off and on. The flashing and errors still occur.During logon there are bunch of indicator applet error message dialog boxes (which I'll post later after finishing this message and conducting another log off/on cycle). I'm running Ubuntu 10.4 LTS 32bit on an Acer Asper 3500 notebook. The install is about 2 weeks old.

I have users [URL] unable to send email to [URL]. [URL] user also unable to send email to [URL]. But both email addresses are fine as they can receive email from others or from [URL] and [URL]. I able to telnet mail server 110 and 25, no problem. Version: ESMTP Sendmail 8.12.10

When I try to pxe boot a Sun X4100 (which actually has a RHEL OS on it right now) I get the message TFTP open timeout. All traffic is allowed for port 69 udp in both directions. I do get a dhcp address. I see that both on the server and the client it gets an IP. After that I get this message in the logs:

I have tftp-server running on Centos 5. Clients which are on the same subnet as the server are able to get and put without problems. I have a client that is across the internet that is having trouble getting files from my tftp server. A tcpdump reveals that the client is requesting the same file over and over again. In /var/log/messages, I am see the following error repeated over and over until the client finally gives up.

With opensuse11.2 I am getting following error while running openGL apps: drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info. I think this is problem with radeon drivers. Is there solution to this?

Since I upgrade our cluster from the FC14 to the FC15 I have a bad problem with the tftpd server. I have some thinstations booting over the network after the update the boot failed with the message "TFTP open timeout". I use an "ip alias" (cluster adress) for the tftp server (next-server in the dhcp), when I use the real ip I have no problem. I found some information about a "Service Guard environment" and an option to enable it:
"This option is required for some tftp clients. These clients reject the tftp reply received from a different IP address than the one requested when the server?s interface is configured with an alias IP address." I do not see an option like that in the tftpd server of the FC15.

3- i simply tried to send the output of the whole script to file logsave /home/logfile ./script : seems that logsave work under root only
4- ./script > logfile : the problem with this is that the output of echo or (read "enter your id") command will not be displayed on the screen (actually nothing will be displayed, i have to open the log file to see the output). is there any way to save the log of the "send" ? or to save the log of the complete script without hiding the output on the screen?

Since /etc/rc2.d/S19mysql does not exists anymore, and then init.d/mysql uses /sbin/start, I am unable to use mysql server anymore: me@mycomputer~#start mysql [ret] ...... for hours this command never returns so that ^C aborts...
me@mycomputer~#ps axw |grep mysql ( no results, no mysql!!! ) me@mycomputer~#stop mysql [ret] no returns either!!! This upstart [start|stop] thing seems a total failure for mysql!!!

I have a service on my Suse 11 server which runs an ssh command (using openSSH) on another box.The output below is returned, but legitimate output is also returned as if the command had executed successfully. For example, the service executes an ls command through ssh, gets the error below, but also the contents of the remote directory as output. This is a problem because the service retries the command until it receives no error. I have been unable to replicate this manually from the command line. Does anyone know what might cause this or what this error really means?

I have a test socket on a server. If I connect to it using telnet, I get exactly the response I expect. So I know the socket works, and the script on the server works:

I use the time command to measure the wall-clock time of a GPU implementation of an algorithm. When I time the CPU execution of the algorithm time returns a negligible sys time. However, when I time the GPU execution time returns a sys time that is around 20-30% of the total time. If that time was comparable with the negligible sys time of the CPU I would achieve a speedup of a few times higher.
I suspect that the increased sys time is because of the GPU usage, which, I assume, takes some time for the OS because of the drivers etc. I am not sure though, and it is important to figure this out because it will improve my results a lot if I can ignore the sys time and use just the user time for speedup calculations. Also, is there a way to see, in detail, what is the sys running and takes so much time. I am thinking that I might be able to see if it is the driver indeed that causes this delay.

I have been trying to send some messages from my Debian GNU/Linux to my Canaima GNU/Linux, i have tried with write: write user@host
But it says user is not logged in, apparently the write daemon have to be running in both machines to do this.
And i wanted to use talk, but i should install it in both machines ¿?
The thing is that i have like 10 machines i wanted to send messages to, but i cant find an easy way to do this.
Is there any other way i am missing? or it has to be the "hard" way
