The Virtualbox (not for the VM) network preferences have DHCP Server disabled and IPV address and the network mask I believe are valid for my home network. My VM is up and running and it has gotten an IP address from my home router and everything seems fine. From any machine in my house I can ssh into my centos installation. I went ahead and started up the httpd service and the website is up. IOW, I can see it from my centos box - when I navigate to http://localhost However, I cannot see it from any other machine on the net. The IP address of the centos bos is 192.168.0.141. From the centos I can do a ttp://192.168.0.141 and see the Apache 2 test Page. I can see that from anywhere else. Although I can ssh to that machine.

Exim is set correctly - receiving mail from [URL]... is successfull. 2. Mail for [URL]... is delivered, and the mail for [URL]... too. But [URL]... is the site written to /etc/hosts (it's localhost), and [URL]... is virtual host. But mail from both boxes writes to /var/mail/mail. Now what do I need: 1. I have 4 centos5 apache webservers all on the same network, recently, 2 of the webservers have stopped being able to ping or browse one particular website where feeds are obtained from this site. I have checked and firewall and selinux settings are disabled. The two webservers are able to ping and browse other sites. Dns settings are the same for all 4 servers. traceroute for working and not working webservers are the same.

In linksys router I have host as servix and domain as example.com. So why is it returning unknown host?
how do i use 2 computers to host 1 website? i have one of them running fine, and i just got the other one to use as well. one of them is completely configured without any problems(I have been hosing a website for about 2 strait years with it).also, I have a dynamic IP because the idiot ISP's wont give me a static. There are more examples of the same,around 20 domain have the same problem.

Anyone know why my fresh installation of centOS server is so slow? Seems like it takes over a minute to execute a command, im not doing anything complicated either. Secondly, how come at times when I type reboot the machine starts to beep, one long loud annoying beep.

I'm setting up apache on centOS 5.5 and administering it from another host on my LAN(this web server has no Xorg). I can ping from the config host to the web server but not the other way. My network is quite a way from being set up so i'm just configuring the web server at the moment, the simplest way i can. It's just trying to get two LAN hosts both with 192.168.1.0/24 I.Ps to talk to each other using a router to connect them.
