I am trying to view jMol models via firefox but they don't show up. I assume that's due to the IcedTea java plugin. I cannot get firefox to use the sun java plugin.

When I open Nautilus v2.16.2 in CentOS 5.4 then I miss at the left side a tree view of the whole directory tree.
Only a list of all files in the current directory is visible.
How can I enable/show ?

I always keep my machine updated with the update mgr, did some plugin updates but stil no videos. I'm getting tired of copying and pasting url's into epiphany each time I want to see a video. To view a page from inside the games own browser(it has an internet browser style menu) there is a button that says "open in external browser" I've used it hundreds of times to save that particular page to a folder when I was in windows but now that I'm using fedora it doesnt do anything. View 4 Replies View RelatedI heard all about the awesomeness of Firefox 4 and decided to ditch the old Fedora default one (3.6.16). I put the firefox folder in the .mozilla directory and I run it from there. The problem is that the only plugin I have is the 64-bit Flash plugin (because it is the only one in the plugins folder in the .mozilla directory). I have no idea where the other plugins for things like Adobe Reader an VLC are. If anyone knows Fedora well, I want my plugins to work in the new Firefox.

First of all I am unable to get Ubuntu to find, recognize & install the DCP 395 CN. Linux appears to recognize the MSHOME but does not have my printer listed in the Brother models? This is a wired system consisting of 2 computers through a dsl broadband router. The DCP 395 printer is connected to the Windows PC by USB, if that makes any difference . Would like to connect to the MSHOME or establish a Network that will work.

When I start Firefox it always loads the previous session's tabs, though I have the option set to load home page, not restore tabs. Where would it be picking this up from ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently installed FC14 on my system as I was previously on FC8. Everything seems to be working fine, but I ran into an issue today where I wanted to kill firefox. I checked in gnome system monitor and I did not see a running process for firefox or firefox-bin. I also ran a "ps -e" command from a terminal as root and did not see it there either. I don't know if this is a fedora issue or a firefox issue, so I am posting it here first.
And just to vent on something that IS a firefox issue. I have the new firefox 4 running and when I click the X in the top corner, it doesn't give me the option to save my current tabs and exit like the previous versions did. That was a feature I liked.
I have a laptop with Redhat 5 installed and a Windows 7 Virtual Machine. The laptop is connected to the internet but I cant access any web pages in firefox - it just comes up with Server Not Found (tried all different sites). I know the internet connection is good as if i go into my windows VM firefox works normal. Ive checked the network settings and tried setting to 'no proxy' and automatically detect but nothing seems to work. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and still get the same.
Ive tried both wired and wireless but makes no difference. Seems really weird that it works in the Windows VM but not in Redhat which its booting into.
I'm running fedora 10 on a virtual machine. I'm trying to create a kernel so that I can use the imaging software FOG on multiple computer makes and models. I wonder what are models and makes of good internal SATA or IDE DVD-CD burners. I'd like to get one for my desktop tower since I've only had CD burners before. For burning, I use k3b and I'd be doing more CD burning than DVD burning but would also use the burner to watch a DVD movie now and then.
I'd prefer one that isn't too fussy about media. In other words, I'd be happy to have one that takes and plays nicely with commonly found media, rather than with exotic, hard-to-find media. And a burner that handles a good range of the various DVD formats would be nice too.
I don't need LightScribe because I figure it will only work for Windows users. Yes or No? [But does Linux have some package that lets this LightScribing work?]
