I added plugins for emesene 2 from their website, but they doesn't show.. this may be silly but I just copied the files into ~/.config/emesene2/ and ~/.config/emesene2/pluginsEmesene assuming that emesene2 would load them um from these folders on startup but it doesn't and I have no idea what to do to load them and try them.

I installed openSUSE 11.2 successfully. I tried to install Emesene but YaST2 stops before i have the confirmation that Emesene is installed. I've the Emesene icon in the menu but it won't start, i just wait but nothing happened.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 in a friends laptop,but everytime I put in the disc with the ISO it doesnt show the Ubuntu menu with the Installation options etc, it just starts up Windows normally, and when its on Windows it recognizes the disc and a window pops up showing the files within the disc (the ISO) and it doesnt let me install it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI heard all about the awesomeness of Firefox 4 and decided to ditch the old Fedora default one (3.6.16). I put the firefox folder in the .mozilla directory and I run it from there. The problem is that the only plugin I have is the 64-bit Flash plugin (because it is the only one in the plugins folder in the .mozilla directory). I have no idea where the other plugins for things like Adobe Reader an VLC are. If anyone knows Fedora well, I want my plugins to work in the new Firefox.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently reinstalled Debian Lenny after experimenting with Slackware for a bit. Everything works just how I remember it should, except for plugins for Iceweasel. One of the first things I did, of course, was install the package flashplugin-nonfree. It seemed to have installed correctly and it showed up in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, but nothing was shown in aboutlugins when I checked from within Iceweasel. I managed to install the flash player from the Adobe website just fine, though, and it works. I then tried to install the mozilla-mplayer plugin. The same thing happened as with flashplugin-nonfree. It's weird. But maybe I'm just missing something really easy.

On certain web pages, for instance www.slackware.com, Firefox doesnt display the background image, but instead displays multiple images of the tool bar of Firefox. It doesnt matter if I change the settings to allow third part cookies or if I tell Firefox to get images automatically. When using Konqueror, the web-site(s) appear normal.

I have installed emesene and have it running on the start up, and since I'm using a wireless connection, I have delayed the running of the program whit the command:sh -c "sleep 10 && emesene %u &" .So i don't have to attend to the log in possess. but still the window pops up, something not necessary, since i rearly use th im-client in the start. So what i want is for emesene to start only in the tray without the contact windows opening. Is that possible? I would prefer to only add somthing to the command and not have to install a extra program.

I get these two certain errors.
Sometimes when using Emesene, a contact who I am talking to will appear offline randomly. I normally assume they have gone offline, but then I will receive another message from them as normal so they obviously are not. Then I can't tell when they actually sign off.
I thought it might be because people are setting their status to appear offline. Which on Windows messenger, if you are talking to that person, they will appear as online only to you.
So either Emesene doesn't do this, or there is some other error that is just making people appear offline randomly.
I tried to install the italian version of msn (emesene). First I wrote in the terminal: Code: sudo apt-get install emesene Then it said it was installed, couldn't find it. I went to system, administration, software sources, other softwares and I added the following:

contacs do appear online in Pidgin.
I ran Emesene 1.6.1 at first and thought that upgrading to 1.6.3 would resolve the issue, but unfortunately that is not the case.
how come blinking effect on dockbarx when someone messages you on emesene doesn't work with awn (installed in ubuntu 10.04)? but on my 10.10 laptop it works nicely. Any workarounds?

for example if I want to create a an "Empty File", I'll right-click on desktop and when I want to go to "Create Document" menu, it doesn't show up! so I must click somewhere else and try again so for the second time it works!!
I configured it to use IMAP to access our exchange 2010 server front end on a LAN connection. Our webmail connection is segregated behind Forefront, so it was not connecting/authing that way. Even though smartphones have no problem. (sidenote, is there an activesync linux mail client ?)
I have many root folders and several folders underneath my inbox. total mailsize in inbox is 3.5 GB without subfolders. The sent is likewise as large. And is likewise empty.

But thunderbird is missing calender
Tried adding lightening, but it won't add into thunderbird.
Will try finding a diff add on, or if anyone knows how to get lightening into thunderbird 3.1.8 on ubuntu 10 that would be great as well.
