View 4 RepliesYes I know there was so many themes created about broadcasting shoutcast radio, but I wasn't got information where program work good. I have tried IDJC, but not work. I need the program that I just install it and works. Program should have 2 audio players (1 is good too) and microphone "player" for talking (key OFF/ON).
P.S.: My PC runs Ubuntu 10.04
is there any program to see video without X as mp3blaster to listen music without X?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to configure mpd (music player daemon) to access my music files that are stored on a windows server (NAS).
In the mpd configuration file I have to point to the directory in which the music is.
How do I do that? Is it something to do with mount?
Which program allows us to listen to music by folders?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have finally made the switch from Windows to Linux even in my workstations at home, after several years running it in servers, routers etc and i only miss one single program that can make me delete my last virtual machine with Windows 7 forever, a professional radio broadcasting program. I have been broadcasting radio for several years and have mostly used Sam Broadcaster for Windows, have been testing a lot of linux-variants but nothing can compare with Sam or Radiodj.ro on the Windows-side. I found the package "Mixxx" lately and it's almost suit my needs but still not quite there yet with soundFx, station ID's jingles, request functions etc.
I have managed to get Sam Broadcaster (version 4.9.1) working very well with Wine, the only problem is that the audio sounds really bad. The sound crancle a lot and i have been trying several workarounds and spent hours on google without success. If i could get the audio sounds better i think the best solution for now is to stick with sam since i know that program in my sleep and it can be configured to use MySQL database to store everything from playlists to lyrics of songs etc, it will be some job to switch program if it doesn't use MySQL.
I was using rygel two months ago with ubuntu 10.04 and it worked great. Then I installed windows so I could have a dual boot system. This week I finally got around to reinstalling Ubuntu, and upgrading it to 11.04 and am having issues. I went into rygel's preferences and specified the directory I wanted to share. In that directory i have the movies sorted into eight folders by genre. At first I used the MediaExport plugin but three of the folders don't have content when I open them on the bluray player (LG bd570). When I use the Tracker plugin it seems I get completely random movies broadcasted but definately not all. I added tags to my movie files so I didn't have to scroll through all of them to find what I wanted and although the tags I added show up under the tags folder in the bluray none of the tags have any files under them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Gateway NV53 with a built in webcam. Now my issue is, it DOES work, but is there a program or software available that would allow me to edit the live graphical feed of the camera? For example, on Windows the webcam software allows me to edit the saturation, contrast, brightness, etc the levels of it while I'm giving off a live feed.So while I'm on webcam 0 can basically change the saturation level while I'm on skype and go from live in color to live in black and white? Is there a rogram available to UBuntu that would allow me to do the same thing?SO that if I'm doing a live feed of my webcam I can basically change how much color I am in etc.I'm running ubuntu 10.10 if that matters

View 1 Replies View RelatedSUSe 11.2-64 running on a core quad Intel motherboard. In the room here are 3 computers with outputs through a Behringer mixer to a Sony surround sound system--it sounds better plus I dont have the spider web of a separate sound system for each machine. 11.2-64 has been excellent so far with the exception of the music player--Amorak. Someone decided to leave out any sound contour tools. I also have Banshee and MPlayer but have experienced various problems with them. Amorak, at least for my use isnt too lame but whoever "They" are decided to do away with the graphic eq.I like the ability to build playlists with Amorak which is missing in some other programs without an exercise in file system manipulation. Any one have suggestions?? One note I will add here is that in Windows 7 64 bit professional, which I am forced to use because of no software for my work written in Linux, running on another machine here-- someone had what I consider the really excellent idea of incorporating a graphic equalizer on the machine output under the Realtek audio package..one eq to control all sounds from that machine--anything like that available for SUSe??

View 7 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to KDE 4.4.3 this morning, but after that Amarok (with Xine backend) does not play music any more - track is progressed, but only silence comes out of the speakers. I tried Gnome music players too, but none of them plays anything.
I installed GStreamer with different kinds of plugins and switched Phono backend to gstreamer. When I start Amarok now, it says I have no MP3 support, so it has to be installed. It does it, restarts itself and it can play audio again. After restarting, having no MP3 support is reported again.
I have just bought a ipod to download some songs in it ,but now I want to transfer the songs into my computer ,I have tried many times ,it's faid .
View 2 Replies View RelatedApart from KsCD and CD Player, (both of which are pretty good, but very basic), I have found it impossible to eject any music CD or DVD on any of the following:
Amarok
JuK
Media Kaffeine
MPlayer and
SMPlayer,
there does not seem to be any button, command or whatever to get the CD or DVD out of the drive, so now find that only way, is to stop player and then to open CD Player and use the eject button there.
Where I can get this plugin for Pidgin. Running openSUSE 64 Bit KDE.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had an awkward problem lately: every music player I use wants to instead of play music from my USB external hard drive, stream music from it. I have no idea why it suddenly started doing that. It may have been an accidental key-combo I pressed, thinking I had another window targeted and didn't bother pressing it again for my Totem music player. So I closed out of Totem in hopes that Rythmbox would work like totem used to. Well, it doesn't. It wants to stream music now.The problem with the streaming music is trivial, but here it is: I have a playlist with a little over 300 songs. I have Totem set to shuffle and repeat my music. Streaming music with it makes it just stop randomly after a few songs, and when I try to pause music and play it later it takes a good 30 seconds before it kicks back in at the beginning of the song.Like I always ask because I don't know enough to give back to the community yet, can anyone help me? Thanks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would want to record/edit/save music from the microphone (convert a tape to CD). But. I start audacity, leave everything at default, record the music, and play back. It plays agonisingly slow. I can change the sample rate manually such that it sounds good, but this is just a guess (I could for example measure the recording time, and adjust the sample rate after that, such that the displayed time on the timeline fits this time). Why the hell do I need to do this? Why is the recording sample rate = playbe sample rate not producing correct output?

View 3 Replies View Related3 o 4 days ago I installed KDE 4.6 from KDE 46 repository and I upgrade my OS and some applications like Amarok. I had some problems so I erased .kde folder and reboot my computer. KDE 4.6 works fine and fast (in my opinion, faster than KDE 4.5) but I have problems with Amarok 2.4. When I try to scan my music collection Amarok don't find any song. I have a NTFS partition in my computer and I have all my music there. I mount the partition since fstab and in 6 months I didn't have any problem. I can use Clementine for exmple and scan all my songs perfectly, but not Amarok.
View 7 Replies View Relatedthis problem is quiet enoying, so i hope that somebody can help me tracking down this problem and find a solution. When i open vlc or exaile and queue a list of tracks, after playing some hours, the sound hangs and in the music player repeats the same 1 second audio part like a hickup, in video programs like vlc also the film freezes.
i have the latest libraries of gstreamer from packman installed and i also tried updating the pulseaudio libraries from multimedia repo. but the problem is still the same
I'm looking for a program to manage my music, and if I keep using Banshee, I'm likely to break something in my house. All I want to do is edit file tags (like genre, artist, and album title) - but it won't let me do that. I can't edit the files directly - first I have to get them into the "library", and in order to do that, I can't drag and drop them - it forces me to actually open up the files (which plays them, and sticks them smack into the middle of the "library", and I then have to go searching/scrolling through the whole thing in order to locate them and then finally edit them). And after all this, spending like 4 hours doing all this, I find out that IT DIDN'T ACTUALLY EDIT THE FILES. It edited them in its own mind - for the duration that they were in the "library" - but it didn't make a change to the actual files.
