With opensuse11.2 I am getting following error while running openGL apps: drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info. I think this is problem with radeon drivers. Is there solution to this?

They compile well (there is also a package on Packman for rtmpdump, but not for the latest version) and have man pages listing a bunch of command line arguments, but I have not yet figured out how to use them in connection with browser and flash plugin.

I've already deleted my current xorg.conf and created a new one using sudo nvidia-xconfig and run NVIDIA X server settings using gksudo nvidia-settings but still can't save..I am using 32-bit Ubuntu 9.10 and my video card is NVIDIA FX 5500..

since i reformatted my new hard drive i have been having issues saving my config file when i tried to save to x configuration file it says: Failed to parse existing X config file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf'.i used to be able to open the file as root and copy over the old x config with the new one but it wont let me even preview the changes until i click save to x configuration file. anyone know how i can fix this error? i tried uninstalling and that didn't help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a thread started on the Slackware forum about the possibility of installing Slackware on an older P4 laptop. Well, it installed fine and most things are working, but I am experiencing one problem that I need to solve before I progress to working on other things.
I hope the mods will not consider this a double thread because it is a networking issue and the other thread was started about a different subject, and I thought there might be more networking specialists there (though everyone I meet on the Slack forum is very knowledgeable, this one has not been solved.)
I am trying to connect wireless with an RT2500 chipset, the correct module loads and the machine is connected to the network, but with a "failed" IP address (169.254.167.101). This also occurs with a wired connection. The exact error is:

It times out then assigns the failed IP address and connects to the network, but of course nothing works.
I use WPA psk and I have another laptop with the same configs and works perfectly with Slackware -current, so I followed the same routine to set this one up. When that didn't work, I backed up the existed /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 and wpa_supplicant.conf, and copied the working files to the new setup. Same result.
There does not seem to be any information about this error either here on LQ, or on the net. I have certainly never encountered it before.
Because it connects with good signal strength, and because it also occurs with wired connections, I can only assume that it is related to WPA in some way. I have not reset the router because I have a number of other machines connected. All of the other machines work, and this one connects, so it is not hardware related.
I am trying to connect to our work server (windows), however, without succes In the log I get the message: "Failed to parse server response"
And when I close the vpn connection window I get "there were no valid vpn secrets"

View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed OpenSuSE 11.2 64bit from a Linux Magazine #111 dvd and now cannot create DomU guests. The exact error is in the subject line. It is sitting on a software RAID-1 partionion on two (mirrored) hard disks. When I first install - formatting all partitions - it reports error 17 and won't load the OS. After running the Repair installed system from the DVD I get the impression it is doing things twice rather than doing the repairs once on the RAIDed partition. Should I go back to 11.1?

I have restarted the computer, restarted apache, etc and still nothing. When I first installed, phpmyadmin was inaccessible, so I ran some command in terminal which apparently created a symlink between phpmyadmin in the user/share dir to the /var/www dir, and curious if this is the problem. I have no clue how to remove this symlink if this is the case, and have phpmyadmin working now due to install using sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin.

My ISP has for a long time had a broken forward/reverese DNS so that my ADSL connection with static IP address resolves to a completely different IP address on a reverse query. This has not been a problem until I upgraded a remote server from 10.3 to 11.3 last weekend and now ssh connections from my ADSL connection to it using public/private keys are being rejected with the following message in /var/log/messages (IP addresses changed):

But if I log in interactively with username & password, the connection succeeds. I've changed the StrictModes setting in sshd_config to 'no' but this hasn't resolved the problem. Obviously something in 11.3 is being stricter about this IP mismatch than it was in 10.2 (and no, the server is not using a firewall). There must be something I can change to make sshd more permissive? I've tried before to get my ISP to fix their problem but no luck. This needs to be sorted as a server at my home (which does not run SuSE) retrieves backups from the remote OpenSuSE 11.3 server every night using scp and these are now failing.
This is a clean OpenSUSE 11.4 installation (the installation went flawless) I got the error while adding an https repo from the build service (though I *think* I mistyped the URL - plus the build service URL should be http) After restarting yast, everything went fine
I bet there's a segfault happening when trying to parse a broken repo (ie: broken download or even just a 404).

I just want to setup a test web server that more closely mirrors our actual web server that is hosted by rackspace. I've installed centOS and tried to setup Apache, PHP and MySQL from a guide on the web using Yum. When I go to localhost in the web browser I'm able to see the default apache page. I've been searching alot on the internet and I know the issue is permission related, but I don't know how to fix it. I've seen some forum posts that say you need to use the chmod 775 command on the /var/www/html folder.Currently when I do ls -l /var/www/html it returns
