Programming :: Php Pear Installation / Failed To Open Stream: No Such File Or Directory?

Jan 15, 2010

I was attempting the pear installation as per the instructions given here:url

I think i got the installation correct.

Then i tried this program

<?php
require_once 'System/Folders.php';
$sf = new System_Folders();
$home = $sf->getHome();
echo "$home
";
?>

and compiled it as follows:-

php spear.php

to get the results as

Warning: require_once(System/Folders.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/spear.php on line 3
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'System/Folders.php' (include_path='.:/opt/ZendFramework/current/library:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/spear.php on line 3

how should i correctly set the path in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

or how correct is my path statement

include_path = ".:/opt/ZendFramework/current/library:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/pear"

in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

When I do a phpinfo(), no where are the settings for pear (meaning where it's located). If I recalled there is supposed to be a setting displayed there for PEAR.

Ubuntu Multimedia :: Main:2273: FATAL: Failed To Open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 2 No Such File Or Directory

My USB stick is this one: [URL] I can't get it to scan my frequencies. PC finds the stick (lsusb):

Code:

Bus 002 Device 005: ID 15a4:9016 Afatech Technologies, Inc. AF9015 DVB-T USB2.0 stick When I plug it in, dmesg shows this:

Code:

[ 5680.852951] Afatech DVB-T 2: Fixing fullspeed to highspeed interval: 10 -> 7

But if the directory is created, then after the same command I have

Code:

using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'

I found on the internet a firmware for my USB HDTV DVB-T stick named "dvb-usb-af9015.fw" and copied it into /lib/firmware/ but I have not seen any difference with that.

Ubuntu :: PHP Not Working - Warning: Unknown: Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied

Mar 10, 2010

I just isntalled LAMP using tasksel and have a problem. Whenever I try to access a page (aside from phpmyadmin, that works well), I get this error... Code: Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0 Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/var/www/index.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in Unknown on line 0

I have restarted the computer, restarted apache, etc and still nothing. When I first installed, phpmyadmin was inaccessible, so I ran some command in terminal which apparently created a symlink between phpmyadmin in the user/share dir to the /var/www dir, and curious if this is the problem. I have no clue how to remove this symlink if this is the case, and have phpmyadmin working now due to install using sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin.

Ubuntu Installation :: Mount /dev On /root/dev Failed : No Such File Or Directory

Aug 8, 2010

Ubuntu(10.04) was working fine, then some program crashed or something, and I just switched off (power offed) the computer. When I restarted it, this sort of stuff comes:

Code:

mount /dev on /root/dev failed : No such file or directory

and some more lines like that, and then 'Busybox' starts with [intramfs].I booted Ubuntu from a pen drive and ran fsck on the main partition. I just pressed 'y' for a long time (it asks stuff like should it continue repairing or something), and then it was done. I restarted the pc and it booted normally - it looked as if everything was fine.I started google chrome, and it said it couldn't find a personal config file .. ok. Then I tried opening a folder - nothing happens. The system monitor doesn't open, and windows that do open eventually are completely blank. I restarted the pc (this time by doing the normal restart), and it gave me the same 'Busybox' thing.I did the same procedure again, and got the same results. (ubuntu boots, programs dont work, then I restart and the Busybox thing comes again)One More Thing : The Ubuntu installed on the hard disk had all the recent updates (including the latest linux kernel) while the pen drive thing was around 2 months old I think. So maybe that's the cause?

Ubuntu Installation :: Mount: Mounting /dev On /root/dev Failed: No Such File Or Directory

May 14, 2011

Doesn't seem to matter which version, every time I try to install Software raid on an Ubuntu server system, it blows up with this error. Seems I've had trouble for several versions.

Code:

mount: mounting /dev/disk/by-uuid/f35415ee-4c14-4eb1-995f-f19fbcd760c7 on /root
failed: Invalid argument
mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory

[code]...

I've done it on Centos Fine, and followed the many different instructions I've seen for Ubuntu. The only luck I've had was with bios raid, but I would much rather let Mdadm handle things.

My build:

ubuntu-10.04.2-server-amd64 CD install
AMD 1055T 6Core
4GB ram
Asus M4A88TD-MUSB3

[code]...

I install both as letting Ubuntu decide partitions for one drive, do the same for the other, and create a raid, and do them from scratch. No dice, same problem. I've tried that one as logical and as primary too. No difference. Something just doesn't like booting from a raid 1 Mirror. I've tried installing grub on both HDDs (sda1 + sdb1)I've tried several CDs, burned from several machines. Re-downloaded from Torrent and from the website. The DVD drives work since I purchased new DVD drives for both one workstation and the server. Things install fine under CentOS, software raid comes up.

CentOS 5 :: PHP Not Working - Blank Page - Get This Warning: Unknown: Failed To Open Stream : Permission Denied In Unknown On Line 0?

May 5, 2010

I tried posting this before and I'm not sure what happened but I don't think it worked, so if it did please forgive the double post.am very very new to centOS and linux in general. I just want to setup a test web server that more closely mirrors our actual web server that is hosted by rackspace. I've installed centOS and tried to setup Apache, PHP and MySQL from a guide on the web using Yum. When I go to localhost in the web browser I'm able to see the default apache page. However when I create a php page it's just blank.When I look at the apache error logs I get this: PHP Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

I've been searching alot on the internet and I know the issue is permission related, but I don't know how to fix it. I've seen some forum posts that say you need to use the chmod 775 command on the /var/www/html folder.Currently when I do ls -l /var/www/html it returns

-rw------- 1 root root 19 May 5 13:16 index.php
-rw------- 1 root root 19 May 5 13:15 index.php~

I'm sure that this isn't correct but like I said I don't know much about how to set permissions or who the owner needs to be. I've done alot of searching and seen similar posts, but no one seems to explain it clearly.

Software :: Use PEAR From Its Shared Directory In Apache2?

Mar 8, 2011

I'm running the turnkey linux version of joomla and I need to use PHP's mail functionality to send a notification email from a page (separate from joomla content) . PHP's native stuff is rather plain and I find myself needing the functionality of PEAR. So I've installed PEAR via aptitude, but it has installed to /usr/share/php.

how do I include these files from php scripts? Firstly, the files are owned by root, the www-data user doesn't have access. It also appears that the permissions on the files may need to be modified. Some php files don't have the execute flag (shouldn't they)? I recognize the point of having a centralized location for updates and sharing, so I don't want to just copy the files to my web directory (/var/www).
