Any time I want to view a video that uses flash (i.e ....., yahoo, ect...) the video will start to play for about 3-5 seconds with no sound. Then the video will pause and the sound will start to play for about 3-5 seconds WHILE the video is paused. Once the sound catches up to the video they both start to play synchronized. By the way I am using Fedora 11 32-bit. This happend on both the beta firefox that came with it originally and the 3.5 final. I am using the current adobe flash player. All this is from the repos with the system up to date.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have embedded a video into one of my website's pages but when I go to the page, using Firefox, the video, which plays automatically, has no controls for play, pause, stop etc which means you have to exit the page to stop the video (if you don't want to watch at the time) It is also the same where it is uploaded to [URL] or Hideho Takagawa When viewing through either Seamonkey, Opera or even Konqueror the controls are visible on both places. here's the embedding code I used.

Edit: I've actually found the solution, I had more than one mozilla plugin installed and as soon as I left myself with the gecko plug in everything works fine
I have installed flash plugins in my firefox 5 in fedora 15, I can watch ....., but not [URL] video. What is wrong here? I have in my firefox plugins:

Is it me or is Fedora's Firefox slow? This is really noticable on my machine when viewing Myspace pages, especially ones with playlists. With pages like these, it scrolls really realy slowly. Also, it seems to load pages much slower than in Windows (something in Windows that is actually better than its Linux counterpart?!?!?)
Another problem that I've noticed is that when running Blender, it shows the title bar, but if I try to drop down a menu like File, or Render, It shows a white square, about the same size as the menu should be covering the GNOME panel, and it looks like the Blender panel that the File, Render, etc, menus are on covers the GNOME Panel, but if I move my cursor over icons or click on GNOME menus, it replaces that section of the Blender panel with the menu or whatever I clicked on, kind of like a hallucination, if that makes any sense.

However, when I view it I get a video box, but it is grey and will not play a video. I keep playing with the various attributes but the result always seems to be the same. I also tried it on a Windows box with Firefox 3.5 (to make sure it didn't have something to do with my Linux config) but the results were the same.
I am running F11 and I want to mount an FTP, but when I try to connect to an ftp server using Places -> Connect to Server, or the bookmarks I made I get an error that says 'Failed to execute child process "/usr/lib/firefox-3.5/firefox" (No such file or directory)' and sometimes it mounts anyway, but most the time it doesn't, and it never connects to the folder I asked it to, I just have to open the mount and navigate to it. I figure this happened because Firefox upgraded to 3.5.1 and the folder is now /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.1/firefox, but I don't know how to update this so that it looks in the right location.

I have a simple wifi setup at my place, with the dsl modem connected directly to the wifi router. 1. when i clear all my history cache cookies etc.....it starts to work fine....for some time.

It's a GTK window with black text with yellow background. I've tried removing the .mozilla folder uninstalling firefox completely and deleting /usr/lib64/mozilla and /usr/lib/mozilla folders. Same error. So I tried running firefox under root, and it displays the same error plus:

I am using Netbeans to edit a PHP Project. The Project is located in /home/martin/NetBeansProjects/TemplateSystemCore btw. /home/martin/NetBeansProjects/TemplateSystemCore/bin
The Project is usein a .htaccess file with Rewrite Rules.
I edited the php.ini and set all display errors to On.
I also edided the http.conf and set display errors On. But nothing helped. Have anyone a Idea why my Brwoser isnt printing any PHP Errors? At least a <html> Tag should be on the Source Code. But its also empty.

This keeps going on and on and it don't end until I hit ctrl c. What does this error mean and how can I solve this?
I want to watch a certain video on [url]...., but I get an error message instead. Some videos can be played, so I'm thinking it's a form of restriction, but I can't be sure.I tried using a few proxies, but on some the error message persists and on others the video doesn't load.
