I have installed CENTOS 5.3 on my machine and am running the new version of Subversion which comes bundled with Apache. I noticed in the httpd.conf file there is no module for PHP which is a problem. How do I install the PHP module for APACHE in Centos 5.3?

I'm trying to enable the rewrite module in apache, to enabled the module I followed the last entry in the fist page this thread:[URL]...When I restart the apache all works fine, so I supose it's enabled
Now I create .htaccess in my apache folder (/home/user/apache), and I write this:

I'm trying to get Virtualbox up an running. So I have added virtualbox in my repo and added the key, looks fine so far. but afeter downloading I get this:

The 1st layer is two Virtual Servers, the 2nd layer is two Real Servers and the 3rd layer is one PostgreSQL Server. All data is on the third layer (PostgreSQL). The Apache Server is running on the 2nd layer but it is supposed to retrieve data (Folders) from the 3rd layer servers (PostgreSQL). I like to setup NFS server on the 3rd layer and NFS client on the 2nd (Apache) layer. I can't figure out how to do it! I have searched the Internet with no luck. I am sure many people on the CentOS community have done it. Can somebody point me to a Howto.. or email me a procedure they have.

I would eventually like to modify the mod_auth_mysql.c source code so I can append a salt/padding to the end of the hashes (that mod_auth_mysql reads from the database), but I will be happy if I can just install the damn thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am installing Big Brother on a CentOS 5.2 running the default Apache 2.2.3. When I try to access any web page I get the following error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /bb/ on this server. Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at fmsubbnix Port 80 So far I have:
1) Set the Directory options to FollowSymLinks
2) Verified all directory and file permissions are at 755
3) Set permissions temporarily to 777 and received same error so I am assuming the issue is in a config file somewhere
4) in hhtpd.conf verified <Files ~ "^.ht"> is correct
5) verified the "default" directory is correct (/var/www/html)
I have read and tried several ideas in posts listed on the web but to no avail and am at a loss as to what to look for next..

I know that it supports frequency scaling, because when I got the processor I also got a CD with the Cool n'Quiet driver. and if I try to start cpufreqd I get Code: No cpufreq interface found, not starting cpufreqd In the meanwhile I've noticed that I also don't have powernow-k7 kernel module installed. I'm attempting to set up a GIMP scripts for batch operations on groups of image files. Initially I started reading about the Script-Fu syntax but it looked too convoluted (at least for me, with 15 years of Perl experience at work) in a way it does the simpliest of things so I attempted to use Perl instead of Script-Fu. From reading the docs I see that I need to install "Gimp::Fu" Perl module. I installed "cpan" first, started it and issued the command:

I am pretty new to linux (and to great with computers full stop), i�ve tried following tutorials i have found but each time i end up with no wireless or a installed driver that doesn't detect any app...
I have managed to get the STA driver working in the new kernel, but when i install b43-fwcutter and remove the bcmw-kerenel-source and re-boot i have no driver at all (?), i am really out my depth here but would like to get it working without it crashing like i get with 10.04
U have spent 4 days trying to configure my router thinking that it is my router that is not working but when I go to my dynamic dns or my static ip address it takes me to my admin router on the local computers.when I type httpd it says it cannot bind to port 0.0.0.0:80 i checked it is set up to listen to port 80 this is really confusing me i am beginning to think the people who built my server did not set it up properly if i go to localhost or 0.0.0.127 it goes to the apache default page fine.I have not changed anything since it wad installed except the centos 5 updates any ideas?When i login my password is root and the password is the default I have changed nothing else on the system as I still have no clue about it.Just to clarify on my router I have port 80 and port 443 set to my static ip address is this correct or should it be the eth0 Bcast ip address?Can anyone give me an idea of what i need to check?
