i am forwarding HTTP request to a internal server, it is quiet successful but access logs donot show the ip of the external m/c. Rather it shows the ip of the machine on which i have enabled port forwarding.
Here's the text from the serial console before I rebooted:

My root server is using CentOS release 5.2 (Final), kernel 184.108.40.206-rootserver-20080917a, SMP, 64-bit This Oops happened yesterday and before that it happened on March 14th of this year, and before that on January 31st of this year, so a repeating pattern. On the January 31st Oops, I just rebooted. On the March 14th Oops, I reformatted the two swap partitions as follows: mkswap -c /dev/sda2; mkswap -c /dev/sdb2 On this last Oops, I turned off the swap for 24-hours, then decided to turn it on again after doing the above mkswap again. During the previous uptime, I had dumpcap packet capture running, but this last reboot, I'm not going to run it.
I have configured a "Syslog" server on /var directory as a separate ext3 partition - to receive the logs and events from the clients & the firewall as well. The directory needs to grow dynamically as the logs are populated. Is there a way i can make the filesystem grow dynamically as and when the directory is full.
I am new in linux,I installed apache-tomcat on fedora.I can view all web pages on localhost:8080 but when I try to view them by server's url address from another computer, I don't get respond.Can it be a firewall problem or something else?
I have been using CentOS 5. for around 3 months. It was all fine and was having a pleasant experience using CentOS. Today when i turned on my computer and booted CentOS i am having the below error: Grub comes up, allows me to select CentOS 5.4 kernel image. and displays RedHat Nash version: and then the below error occurs:
Having a problem with my Belkin wireless adapter when trying to stream music to my Pinnacle Soundbridge.The network connection is usually rock steady but drops anywhere between and few second and a few minutes after streaming music. Network manager still shows the connection to my home network as active but it is not. The connection comes back when I unplug the dongle and plug it back in. I found the following message repeated in the syslog
phy3 -> rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x06 failed for offset 0x3040 with error -110
Only thing I have noticed is that it refers to rt2x00 when I had thought it used the rt73usb driver.Had the PC and the Soundbridge for a number of years without any problems but I did recently have to reinstall Ubuntu from scratch. Currently running Ubuntu 10.10
I have a problem with compiling of mod_ruby-1.3.0 After a succesfull configure i get a error in the make, it say "make: *** [apachelib.o] error 1" . ./configure.rb --with-apr-includes=/usr/include/apr-1 checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether we are using gcc... yes
i am trying to get centos 5.4 installed and bootable on my 16gb flash drive, with persistent overlay using and ext3 formatted drive.i want to be able to boot into centos and be able to have all updates from yum, etc, saved when shutting down for my situation i cannot use vfat.
I've been following this guide quite closely: [URL]
Once all the instructions have been followed I get a login screen with no images at all, when I login (still no images) none of the links work (they just come up with a blank page. My apache config is slight different (as it my RT_SiteConfig.pm) examples below:
Code: Alias /rt "/opt/rt3/share/html" PerlModule Apache::DBI PerlRequire /opt/rt3/bin/webmux.pl <Directory /opt/rt3/share/html>

This is my first post, I hope I'm the the right place. I installed mysql mysql-server php-mysql perl-DBD-mysql libdbi-dbd-mysql via "yum install -y" on a server running CentOS 5.3 X86_64 The install completes successful with no errors, but once I start mysqld via "chkconfig --level 35 mysqld on" ; "service mysqld start" There are no errors in /var/log/mysqld.log netstat shows mysqld listening on 3306 and localhost is in /etc/hosts
I'm working on a old piece of code on linux, after compiling without porblem at the execution I have this response:
src/xproject/xproject: Ok, a color display! :-) X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 78 (X_CreateColormap) Serial number of failed request: 7 Current serial number in output stream: 15
looking at the source code I think the problem is related at the depth of my system 24 bit and the depth of this old piece of code 8 bit. Unfortunately also I don't have experience in programming the XVideo and if someone can give me some help in programming the XVideo interface
I just set up a new CentOS 5.5 system (using the 5.5 DVD, yum updated all packages to latest) which unfortunately due to various issues and most critically availability, has an ATI-4350. The install went OK but X does not detect the card properly so it's using the slow VESA driver. I followed the instructions here [URL] to download and install the ATI driver. It appeared to be correctly installed but not used.
Display still detects my monitor and 4350 as unknown and using some "Vendor supplied driver". Yet under the "Dual Head" tab, if I would to enable it, the ATI-4350 comes up as an option, hence implying that the driver was corrected installed and the card is actually detected. I suspect it might have to do with my Xorg.conf, although trying to edit in several ways didn't make it work.
Anyone know what this signifies in the Apache logs files:

I'm using CentOs 5.4 (2.6.18-164.15.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 17 11:30:06 EDT 2010 x86_64). I tested out ext4 on a partition for the last few months and it seems to work fine. The issue is that quotas dont seem to work correctly on it. Is there a way to revert back to ext3? Mainly the quota tools do not work on it.
