I use web server apache use php fastcgi (Centos 5.2, apache 2.2.9 , php 5.2.5 and fcgi-2.2.4 ). I receive error : "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. contact the server administrator, no-reply@zz.vn and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. My root server is using CentOS release 5.2 (Final), kernel 2.6.26.5-rootserver-20080917a, SMP, 64-bit This Oops happened yesterday and before that it happened on March 14th of this year, and before that on January 31st of this year, so a repeating pattern. On the January 31st Oops, I just rebooted. On the March 14th Oops, I reformatted the two swap partitions as follows: mkswap -c /dev/sda2; mkswap -c /dev/sdb2 On this last Oops, I turned off the swap for 24-hours, then decided to turn it on again after doing the above mkswap again. During the previous uptime, I had dumpcap packet capture running, but this last reboot, I'm not going to run it.

I have configured a "Syslog" server on /var directory as a separate ext3 partition - to receive the logs and events from the clients & the firewall as well. The directory needs to grow dynamically as the logs are populated. Is there a way i can make the filesystem grow dynamically as and when the directory is full.

I created a encrypted volume on top of software raid1. These are my steps:
1. Create logical partition on sda
2. Create logical partition on sdb (same size)
3. Change type to partition to 'fd' for both partitions
4. Check that the both partitions are same size and type fdisk -l /dev/sda && fdisk -l /dev/sdb
5. partprobe
6. Make sure there are no remains from previous RAID installations on /dev/sdb by running: mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sda6 mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdb6
7. mdadm --create /dev/md4 --level=1 --raid-disks=2 /dev/sda6 /dev/sdb6
8. watch cat /proc/mdstat
9. update mdadm.conf mdadm --examine --scan | grep mdx >> /etc/mdadm.conf
10. Load twofish module [root@localhost ~]# modprobe twofish
11. # cryptsetup -y -c twofish-cbc-essiv:sha256 create ftdata /dev/md4 Enter passphrase: Verify passphrase:
12. mkfs.ext3 -b 4096 -R stride=8 /dev/mapper/ftdata
13. mkdir /ftdata
14. Mount the encrypted volume:

It mounts successfully this first time. When I cd /ftdata, I can see the lost+found dir

So why is it that I can't mount my encrypted volume after the first time? I am giving the correct password when it asks to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with my Belkin wireless adapter when trying to stream music to my Pinnacle Soundbridge.The network connection is usually rock steady but drops anywhere between and few second and a few minutes after streaming music. Network manager still shows the connection to my home network as active but it is not. The connection comes back when I unplug the dongle and plug it back in. I found the following message repeated in the syslog

i am trying to get centos 5.4 installed and bootable on my 16gb flash drive, with persistent overlay using and ext3 formatted drive.i want to be able to boot into centos and be able to have all updates from yum, etc, saved when shutting down for my situation i cannot use vfat.

i am currently trying to install vsFTP onto my new linux server and btw i just started using linux today this is my first time using linux so i got the ftp installed good it got downloaded and everything then i went to open a port for my server for vsFTP i used this comand to open it "-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT" then i closed it by pressing ESC then :wq! and it brought me back to my comand line again so now when i try to start the ip table thing with the comand "service iptables start" then when i execute that comand putty respondes with this "Applying iptables firewall rules: iptables-restore: line 1 failed [FAILED]"

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just set up a new CentOS 5.5 system (using the 5.5 DVD, yum updated all packages to latest) which unfortunately due to various issues and most critically availability, has an ATI-4350. The install went OK but X does not detect the card properly so it's using the slow VESA driver. I followed the instructions here [URL] to download and install the ATI driver. It appeared to be correctly installed but not used.
Display still detects my monitor and 4350 as unknown and using some "Vendor supplied driver". Yet under the "Dual Head" tab, if I would to enable it, the ATI-4350 comes up as an option, hence implying that the driver was corrected installed and the card is actually detected. I suspect it might have to do with my Xorg.conf, although trying to edit in several ways didn't make it work.

i've installed nagios just from a while and after i installed centreon, since this when i try to log in the web interface of nagios it shows up this message: Internal Server Error

I'm using CentOs 5.4 (2.6.18-164.15.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 17 11:30:06 EDT 2010 x86_64). I tested out ext4 on a partition for the last few months and it seems to work fine. The issue is that quotas dont seem to work correctly on it. Is there a way to revert back to ext3? Mainly the quota tools do not work on it.
