Connect debounce failed port 3 disabled. i get this in the terminal (alt+f1) every time i log on. i like this terminal better than the standard one and i want the error message to stop appearing every time i try to type something.
I went to shut down a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, and about halfway through the little yellow/orange bar the screen went black and it said: "xxx.xxxxxx hub 2.0: 1.0 connect-debounce failed port y disabled" (xxx.xxxxxx being a different number string each time, and y being a port number)
It gives me that message for 3, sometimes 4, ports--3 times (port 2, port 3, port 1, port 2, port 3, port 1, etc.). Once I got that while starting up. Near the end of that colored bar, it gave me the black screen, and then this big long list of stuff it was checking. When it got to starting Bluetooth, it started that connect-debounce thing for all the ports. Then there was some other stuff that disappeared faster than I could write it down. However, Ubuntu did a system check the next day, and that start up issue disappeared--at start up and shut down. A couple of days ago, it started the connect-debounce thing on shutdown again. Ubunutu did a system check, but it did not fix the shut down issue or get the USB mouse/items to work.
I post the below output. coach@coach-laptop:~$ tail -f /var/log/messages Feb 21 15:06:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 15:26:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 15:46:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 16:06:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 16:26:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 16:46:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 17:06:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 17:26:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 17:46:13 coach-laptop -- MARK -- Feb 21 18:03:59 coach-laptop kernel: [385082.408075] usb 2-2: USB disconnect, address 44

Is there any way to do remote desktop from Mac (Snow Leopard) to Centos 5.5?I have turned on remote desktop in Centos and got the address ([url].....) to access remotely. Then I installed vnc-Viewer in my Mac. Put the address like (mypcname.com:0) then clicked connect. I get error message "Failed to connect: Operation timed out (60)".My Mac and Cenotos is in the same network.
I did a fresh install of OpenSuSE 11.3 KDE 64-bit on my new laptop. Worked like a charm. But I brought it with me to work without connecting it to a wi-fi and now the network manager doesn't want to start when I'm back in range of my home connection. Also, whenever I try to launch KNetworkManager, it won't load up a window and I still can't connect. This is even disabling the Ethernet port also.
everything works fine. I can log in, and local port forwarding is done. Otherwise when I use the command:
ssh user@ssh_server -R 5500:localhost:5500 -p 22
I get an error "remote port forwarding failed for listen port 5500". However when I try remote port forwarding in WinXP by use of putty there is no problem...
We are trying to create a message forwarder program that receive a message on Port A and pass it on t Port B. Also receive a message from Port C and Pass it on to Port D as follows.
I'm a recently proud owner of a new Aspire AS3810T with Fedora 12 installed, when it boots up before entering the boot screen when it loads I see this error message:IOMMU: Mapping reserved region failedHow can i fix this error? It's quite frustrating

I cannot use cvs within eclipse to connect to the server, but when I use cvs in terminal everything works fine.

When I send mail via Evoultion it does seem to send ok but still the following error message comes up: Error while sending message. Failed to append to : Unknown error Appending to local 'Sent' folder instead. Not sure what's up with that but thought I would mention it.
10.04 new isnstall from cd goes for a minute then I get this error message: old p3 800 machine, will this distro work on an old machine like this:

My fedora 14 has OpenSSH_5.5p1, OpenSSL 1.0.0a-fips 1 Jun 2010 running. I am able to use putty to ssh to my fedora. I installed NXSERVER - Version 3.2.0-74-SVN OS (GPL, using backend: 3.3.0) but when i used nxclient to connect to the server i always got 'session x' failed.
I have a mail server i need it to send message via port 587 not port 25, i make some changes to my postfix server which i use and it is already successed making a telnet to 587 port like it :
(I'm probably going to have my forum account revoked due to excessive usage ) I'm setting a VPN connection on openSUSE 11.2. Using the networking icon on the tray I add a PPTP connection, set it up but I receive a message 'VPN connection failed'. Googling it up I tried changing a setting called 'refuse-eap' to 'yes' but it doesn't seem to work. Here's the result from the log file:
I have successfully connected to my ubuntu server from XP using VNC over SSH from within my internal network. But when I try from an external network I can SSH but VNC times out. Using netstat I see vino server listening on 5900. Using ps -ef I see vnc and vino-server and vino. In auth.log I see :
Feb 4 17:07:25 DellD600 sshd[8754]: error: connect_to 123.243.**.** port 5900: failed. Feb 4 17:11:14 DellD600 sshd[8754]: error: connect_to 123.243.**.** port 5900: failed.
These entries coincide with when vnc times out, after a minute or so. I have tried realVNC and TightVNC with similar results. Im connecting specifying localhost in VNC and port 5900 in and out in putty - same as I do when connecting locally. The error messages dont give me a lot to go on. Im assuming the problem must be on the ubuntu server itself since Im getting in through SSH and hitting the logs ?
I think I'm ready to install Linux openSUSE physical on my Laptop. NO VMware Workstation anymore...But before I can do that I must be sure that Linux works on my System.--- SYSTEM ---
OK, should be enough for the first, ask if I forgot some Hardware...Because I can't find any driver, and I'm not sure. I'm a LINUX NOOOOOOOOOB!!I really want to install Linux openSUSE, I'm MICROSOFT/WINDOWS HATER since 1 month now!! PS: Wine can't start my favorite Programs like Project64 a N64 Emulator. It fails to start a game! I think the graphic plugin crashes... | The exact error message is: "Failed to extract ZIP Archive" or "Failed to load file".
Firstly I am new to red5 and not very strong when it comes to linux. I have had installed red5 on my dedicated server and going by the http://myIP:5080/installer demos it is all working fine. My problem is I cannot get it to work with my software being flashchat. I am not sure if it comes from me using the incorrect RTMP url and if so after trying about 20 or more ways of typing it in I always get the same error message "Connection Failed' or "Connection Closed" not to sure what is meant by Closed as to whether it's working but can't get in or what ever. I am after someone who can get this to work for me please and I am willing to pay for that service once it is working.
Our server is a x86_64 centos 5.5 computer. we installed samba3x-3.5.4-0.70.el5_6.1.x86_64.Samba seems work fine, we don't notice any problem in using it. But in the workstation log file, there are a lot of error messages like:
I was trying to install ubuntu 9.10 as a dual boot system with windows and I recieved this error message: The Grub package failed to install into /target/. Without the Grub boot loader, the installed system will not boot
This Error comes up after 94% of the install. I also cannot seem to get the side by side install option to work (sometimes this option appears sometimes it does not) I am not sure but I beleive seome of the install files have been placed on the hard drive because I only get the option now to install on the hard drive and totally wipe clean or the emptiest hard drive. So how would I get the possible Ubuntu install off the Hard drive. I have used this CD to Install before it has no scratches therefore should work. Also If I have Win Xp on a Raid 0 will the Ubuntu 9.10 install ?
I just having to do a fresh install and get the following message to close after setting up partitions and on clicking write to disk:
Failed to mount "524M Volume" Method "Mount" with signature "ssas" on interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist.
Only option under message is close button. I'm using Fedora 14 xfce 32bit live CD. The install seems to carry on normally until done but then when I check the partitions I've setup I seem to only have the origonal uneditted default partitions.
I need to know I/O stats per process. When executed dstat give the bellow error message. dstat -M topio -d -M topbio Module topio failed to load. (No module named dstat_topio) Module topbio failed to load. (No module named dstat_topbio) CentOS release 5.3 (Final) uname -r => 2.6.18-128.2.1.el5 How to resolve the above error message
I have installed kvpnc and loaded my profile using a .pcf file but seems not to be able to connect. the error I get is: error: The required daemon (vpnclient) is not available, connect will be disabled. I tried looking for vpnclient in the repo and over the internet but seems to be unavailable.
It's been awhile since I posted anything which is a good sign my install has been working well and I have been able to handle most everything. However, I'm not able to handle this issue. I recently installed F11 and everything went well. But, when trying to see my other computers on the local network, I cannot. I receive this error message: Unable to mount location Failed to receive shared list from server. I understand the message as it is obvious, but do not know how to fix it.
My problem is that the Mailserver in OpenSuse 11.1 (postfix, amavisd, spamassassin, clamAV en Razor) can not recieve e-mails, outgoing is ok. The problem started when I added 2 new users to de LDAP-server connected to Postfix. Some users can login, but most of them are getting the error: cant connect POP3 connection refused port 995.
I get this error ALL THE TIME after a reboot if I try to print. Going to the printing applet to add the printer does no good because Lucid is not connected to the CUPS server. I found that the work-around below fixes the issue for the current session.
