Programming :: Create A Message Forwarder Program That Receive A Message On Port A And Pass It On T Port B?
Sep 6, 2010
We are trying to create a message forwarder program that receive a message on Port A and pass it on t Port B. Also receive a message from Port C and Pass it on to Port D as follows.
I have a mail server i need it to send message via port 587 not port 25, i make some changes to my postfix server which i use and it is already successed making a telnet to 587 port like it :
Im trying to instal Sun Virtualbox but when download completes and I click on install I get the following error>>Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) I wont even bother with this software if there are others out there that are as easy to use. I used it on Windows and thought it was great ! (thats how I eventually switched to Linux, by using it virtually at first)
Connect debounce failed port 3 disabled. i get this in the terminal (alt+f1) every time i log on. i like this terminal better than the standard one and i want the error message to stop appearing every time i try to type something.
I am doing work on serial port. I want to send/receive data to/from Microcontrolar through serial port. But I don't know how to initialize, receive and send data to Serial port. i am new in fedora so i hav'nt any deep concept of fedora.can anyone send me C code , which communicate through serial port in fedora (or atleast help me). I am using Fedora 11.
I want to pass ip address, port address and some parameters from command line using python script. The ip address and port address for establishing socket connection and remaining parameters to execute different connection.
I want to do a simple port redirect, i.e. whatever comes trough whatever interface on port AAAA will get redirected to port BBBBI thought that iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING --source 0/0 --destination 0/0 -p tcp --dport AAAA -j REDIRECT --to-ports BBBBhowever it doesn't work, e.g. nc -v -w2 -z localhost AAAA gives:
nc: connect to localhost port AAAA (tcp) failed: Connection refused while nc -v -w2 -z localhost BBBB
I am writing some application in C, which will access a serial port device (RS232). My application is working good. But if any other application is already opened the port, I couldn't able to identify that. In windows VB program, while accessing comport through mscomm control, i am receiving an error as "Port Already Opened". But in Linux environment, through C program how can i get that? I am accessing comport 1 as follows
I'm using ubuntu 9.04; I have a large project in windows that I want to "port" it in linux. It uses IPC mechanism "Shared memory" and also "Critical Section" APIs in windows, but unfortunately I have no good reference to change these windows APIs to their equivalent in linux?
Is there a comprehensive documentation or reference for this issues? I mean a table containing the equivalent APIs or systemcalls in windows and linux! For example, what's an alternative for the "InitializeCriticalSection" API in linux? Or an alternative for "CRITICAL_SECTION" structure? Or even an alternative for "RegOpenKeyEx", although we don't have registry in linux!!
I bought a set of 3 laser sensors and it came with a software and its C++ source code for windows to receive the lasers info through the serial port. Since the entire project is running on Linux, I need to port the windows code to Linux. At the present moment, I already can receive the data from each of the 3 sensors, but the info is coming concatenated! Tracking down the original windows code, I found that it is probably happening cause I didn't ported these lines to my Linux version:
I've searched already about how to specify the serial port timeouts on Linux, but didn't find a solution. how to port these lines to Linux or maybe where to find more info about how to set serial port timeouts on Linux?
I have connected a device to my linux system with a serial cable (rs232). The settings are: port /dev/ttyS0, baud rate=38400, data bits=8, stop bits=1, no parity, no hardware or software handshaking. I wrote a linux program that sends 1 byte to the device, but the device doesn't receive it. I know the serial ports are working because when I use the CuteCOM application to send data, the device DOES receive it, so obviously it is a problem with my code..
I need to make some C program under linux to make some scripts that can talk to my Server's Parallel port by sending some quare signal as high or low, so what i can do ?
In a single main() function,so need signal handling. Use Posix Message Queue IPC mechanism , can ignore the priority and other linked list message,to implement the scenario:
I tried to run Ubuntu One on my Lucid Lynx, however, when I want to start the Ubuntu One Client, I just receive a message from Login Keyring asking for a password:
The password you use to log in to your computer no longer matches that of your login keyring.
I haven't change my login password for a long time. It is still the same and it works.
However, when I put my current password below the keyring's message it says it is incorrect. When I try to change the password in in Accessories > Passwords and Encryption Keys it writes that the old password (my current one) is not correct.
What happens? Which password should I type there? I do not remember I set somewhere any other password than my current login one.
I've a strange situation in my network: pcs gatewayed to another network, then a proxy, then a firewall.pcs --> router --> cloud --> router --> proxy --> switch <-- fw --> Internet(router, proxy and fw are alla connected by the switch)Some months ago the situation was: pcs --> router --> cloud --> router --> switch <-- fw --> Internet. There was a static route in the router that gatewayed the packets to the firewall, but that route has been deleted, and I cannot reinsert it because I've not access to the routers, so we have to use a proxy to go to Internet, and we have the configuration of all pcs (Windows XP) with the fields "proxy" filled. The proxy ha only one NIC gatewayed to the firewall, and Ubuntu and squid installed, but we have some problems:
1. we cannot use email, so how can we make port 110 and 25 packets pass?
2. squid seems to slow down, so can we uninstall it and route all the traffic directly to the firewall to speed up?
I'm having some trouble with my Taskbar. It's supossed to flash or blink when I receive a message (I've already configured Pidgin and I've also tried with emesene) but it just doesn't flash. I think it's something related to gnome or ubuntu config so it won't flash under any circumstance but I am not sure.
Since upgrading to 11.04 yesterday, nauilus has been acting strangely. It takes about 30 seconds for a right click on the desktop to respond, whereas before it would've taken 1 or 2. Also, when trying to open a directory, say, the Home direcotry accessible from the launcher,it takes about a minute to open, which is odd, because all of my other applications (Chrome, Banshee etc) ares all running smoothly. And when the direcotry windowe does open, within 10 sconds it will turn grey and prompt me to force quit. When i try to open nautilus from a terminal, it comes back with the message
Code:
(nautilus:3508): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Using Iptables I forward 80 port through squid (3128).Other ports just get connected in the proxy machine itself since it has IP_FORWARD enabled. All my client machines browsers enabled with "Use proxy 3128". I just want to make all the port to pass through squid server.
I recently updated my iPod touch to the 4.2.1 firmware. So I get the usual
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) Error. Yes I've tried the old "sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
but that was to no avail. way to fix this? Now click 'back'.
I installed NFS and portmap for export a folder to another PC. /usr/local. ftp is server's hostname and ws01 is client's hostname. I edited file /etc/exports with next text: /usr/local ws01(rw,root_squash) *(ro)
I restarted service portmap and nfs. From client, I try check connection with server with command: showmount -e ftp and result is: mount clntudp_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
It's been awhile since I posted anything which is a good sign my install has been working well and I have been able to handle most everything. However, I'm not able to handle this issue. I recently installed F11 and everything went well. But, when trying to see my other computers on the local network, I cannot. I receive this error message: Unable to mount location Failed to receive shared list from server. I understand the message as it is obvious, but do not know how to fix it.
Hi I am running a fedora 10 desktop. when i send an email using evolution the message was not sent but returns a error message:"Error while performing operation.DATA command failedError: 550 Viagra SPAM - Hi in Subject" and the message did not have an attachment just plain words. what might have gone wrong for i have been using this for sometime without a problem. or what security measures should be in place to remove this viagra spamAm I infected by virus on this fedora, all my updates are up to date.
i am trying to edit sshd_conf files to change the "#Port 22" to "Port 22" from a script.
I have tried this many different ways.
sshs1='s/#Port 22/Port 22/g' sed $sshs1 /home/l/Desktop/test
the reason i have it as a string in this instance is because $sshs1 gets a variable, but im not working on that right yet. I've tried changing the ' to ` and ". this is what i get:
sed: -e expression #1, char 7: unterminated `s' command sed: -e expression #1, char 8: extra characters after command sed: -e expression #1, char 8: extra characters after command " sed: -e expression #1, char 7: unterminated `s' command
i know it may have to do with my regex, but i cant seem to find a decent tut.
Using IMAP to retrieve emails in Evolution is not working correctly. Some messages are recieved, others are not. Those messages that cannot be recieved, reports the following error message: Unable to retrieve message
I was trying to use Message Queues for sending message from aninserted kernel module to user space. The function sys_msgsnd failedgiving the obvious error -EFAULT.However, I was able to send the message from kernel to user space when I had made the same driver part of kernel (and not inserting it).How is that possible?I am using linux.2.6.19.x (arch=ppc)I now use Netlink socket to communicate from kernel to user, but the aboveproblem seemed strange to me.
