View 5 RepliesI am preparing my report using pdflatex. According to the specification given, the font must be Times New Roman 14pt. I googled and found that usepackage{times} could be used. I also read in wiki books that Large will set the font size to 14pt if the default size is 11pt. But it was also given that the font size for Large may be varying according the document class. I am using document class report. I am not sure if setting Large will make the font size to 14pt. When googling I found a command fontsize. But I couldn't find proper documentation to use it. It would be great if get some information on how to set the font style and size.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had issues with the later versions of Ubuntu, so in an effort to road-test Firefox 3.5 on Hardy I'd like to change my Karmic/Hardy dual boot to a Hardy/Hardy dual boot, and follow the instructions in [URL] to put the Mozilla build of 3.5 on the new installation.
I can't see any reason why a Hardy/Hardy dual-boot shouldn't work, but does anyone know of any issues with this I might not be aware of?
I'm trying to install a language-pack for my OpenOffice, but there seems to be a dependency-problem. Maybe someone has a suggestion. FC12, x64 OOo.x64 3.1.1

I've been trying to install the Hardy Mariux 2.0 theme. I've installed Emerald Theme Manager and am trying to load one of the themes (Hardy 2.0 - Standard.emerald); I added it to Emerald, click it (which causes Emerald to close) then run emerald --replace. The bar at the top of the windows gets replaced, along with the buttons, but that all and the process running in the terminal never seems to end (it doesn't give any kind of output either).
Also, I'm most interested in the Mac OS X-like panel at the bottom of the screen and the bar at the top of the window that comes in the Hardy 2.0 - Standard package. What exactly do I have to install out of the whole package to get these two things working?

I am trying to finish up my intro C++ course, and have to make a Roman numeral to Arabic converter. I had no trouble with the reverse (Arabic to Roman), but I must be missing something on this one. I tried a few variations, and either got 0 or an insanely high number as the output.

#include<iostream>
#include<cstring>

View 13 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a beginner question, but... I'm looking for the font "University Roman". We have an Epson printer and use Linux. I see lots of sites for downloading fonts - some charge and some don't. Web searches seem to indicate that you pay for fonts, one way or the other - either up front or via "readers". I'm more concerned about viruses than cost.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'v downloaded the new versions of suse many times. I average 3 to 4+ times before it's successful, bad downloads(bad checksum) or download stops for no reason. I'v used direct link and bittorrent. Bittorrent takes 2-3 times as long. So, I usually use direct link. I can do the download in about 6-8 hours. The first time, it stopped at 334 megs, using direct link. Using bittorrent, it took about 16 hours. I got a bad checksum. Is there a way I fix the file without downloading it again? Suse 10.4

I wanted to try LibreOffice out. I found a PPA for it, so I added the source, tried it out, didn't like it, and noticed that openoffice now won't work. Which isn't too big of a deal, but now I can't even get the software center to install it. It gives me some error that you can read in the screenshot. What can I do?
