Ubuntu :: Twitter Client Twidge Not Working?

I use command line twidge for twitter, it gives a strange error on terminal, I don't understand. I tried to update, but nothing happens.

I am looking for an interactive terminal based twitter client. It seems like there are a few around, but some of them appear to be abandoned. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good one to use?

I was following the installation instruction in the official website for Termtter. But it doesn't work...

. It finished successfully. It says 'command not found' when I run 'termtter'.

Just an FYI for anyone who may be having this particular problem. A short while back, I was trying to attach a picture to a Twitter post, and dropped my network connection. No big deal...connection came back, and things went on. Next time I launched Choqok, it popped up a message saying "Server Error: This method requires authentication". It was puzzling, and didn't appear to impact my use...until I went to send a direct message, and it would give that error and crash. After quitting Choqok, the file (/tmp/ksocket-user/klauncherXXXXXX.slave-socket file) was still present. Deleting that file manually cleared the error up. I've seen this mentioned in a couple of other forums, but none with a solution posted.
If anyone else has that error, and this method resolves it, please let us know. I'm using openSUSE 11.4, but it should apply to any version/distro of Linux using Choqok.

i was looking at tweetmypc - it looks so awesome to use my phone w/ twitter as a remote and send commands to my computer. then i found twitaction, but the problem with it is that it can only update every minute and i want something that is checking all the time.

Whats up with Gwibber not authorizing Twitter. I think this has to do with Twitters Oauth mechanism. I know there was a big fuss about it. I was sure that 10.04 received an update to fix this.

i wish to join twitter (not for socialising just info on what's coming in the linux an mountain bike world)i have been googling away and the ones i have found like pino and gtwitter but these either need the massive gnome libraries or have dependencies that i cannot find with sbopkg, so does anyone know of a twiiter client that has hardly any dependencies and a clean interface (no fancy crap like facebook (as said earlier i am kinda against social networks as they are more anti-social than social e.g. i'm going to stay in an talk to friend rather than actual human interaction)

having problem dealing with gnome-do, before this, I never have problem while tweeting with the tweeter plugin in gnome-do.Now, when I want to tweet up with gnome-do, the gnome-do suddenly crash and I need to open it back via Application to make it use back again.

I've grown very fond of Gwibber, since the introduction of F13 as a Twitter-client. However since 5 daysGwibber is no longer updating the timeline. As the problem maintained, I also installed Pino and Twitux.But they seem to have the same problem. I've tried to uninstall and re-install them, but that didn't solve my problem.

I have success install DNS server using BIND on Debian 6.0. and it's work with windows client. but with ubuntu I can't ping all my domain. but if I use nslookup or dig from my ubuntu client, it's work. and I try connecting my ubuntu client to internet using modem.

I have a Nis server on Suse 11 which is configured using Yast and nis clients on Suse and CentOs .All clients which is on the Suse Os is working fine. But on CentOs , users couldn't login using nis username.I have mounted home directory using nfs in fstab . I can switch to nis users homedirectory only when i am root. But nis users could'nt login on reboot.' ypcat passwd username ' is showing the output . No selinux is enabled in the client .Is there is any problem with Suse server to Centos Client in nis ??

I have installed winbind, portmap, and samba/smbclient packages on the workstation linux ubuntu , which is intended to be client to samba for /etc/password attached to the server. I had the "set-cap" exception problem, so when the fix was released, I updated. Since then, the ubuntuone-preferences dialog will not start or work. I tried the me bar, the system menu, and the CLI.Now, I bought some music the first day the store opened and it downloaded fine. Then yesterday I bought another album and the store hangs on "downloading the files." Six hours later, it still won't move.
It gets weirder. The music store says its trying to download a couple of tracks from the first album (even though they are already downloaded), the second album shows up as downloaded under the Web UI, but doesn't show up at all on my desktop .ubuntuone folder.I've tried the IRC a couple of times, with no response. (In fairness, it may have been bad timing, I'm in New York) I don't mind trying to sort this out myself, but I'd just like some more hints. I've looked at the syncd log and found the exception, but I don't know how else to restart the syncd. At the same time, my files *are* synching, and *one* of my address books is synching (my gmail account contacts aren't). I know this is alot at once, but I'm afraid of dividing the problem and missing something.

I have had an on going problem with my system and Mangler. I use a creative usb fatality headset. When I am in Windows it works fine for ventrilo. If I boot into Linux and load up Mangler I can get it to work, but then after a while no one can hear me, but I can hear them and the Mangler icon in the system tray turns yellow instead of green. I have the audio settings in Mangler set for my USB head set.
My head set will consistintly work in Audacity. When I go into the pulse audio settings and set the drop box down to my head set it will show default audio every time I go back into the audio settings. If I reboot then plug in the headset and then reste the drop down to head set it will work. If I open a game or something it will close sometimes other times I think it just takes time. I have had the same propblem on Ubuntu 10.04, Kubuntu 10.10, and openSUSE 11.4.

i have a udp server running at port 60178. when i connect to it from localhost there is no problem. when i use the client from a remote host i am not able to connect. I changed my server firewall settings[Fedora 11] and added "udp 60178" to trusted ports but still nothing happened. I ran wireshark and observed that packets are coming to the server machine but server returns a "Port Unreachable" ICMP message and doesnt give the packet to the application.

Environment: Ubuntu 9.04 Server/Thin Client. I tried to use KTouch in a classroom with 20 students working at thin client workstations. I thought KTouch was supposed to keep track of the students' typing statistics, what lessons they completed, etc. However, the students get no statistics or any record of what they have done.
Where can I find information on how KTouch is supposed to record/store this information?

My problem is that Transmission or Bit-torrent is not working. I have tried to run them as root but that does nothing. The error returned for bit-torrent is "tracker timed out" and transmission says "not available". I am running Debian Lenny5 (this is a fresh install).

I got sick to DEATH of Adobe AIR and TweetDeck screwing up constantly, and then Adobe announces there will be no more Adobe AIR for Linux. Fine, screw 'em, I'll switch to something else. So I hunt around for the options, most of which suck. Then I discover Choqok is already installed on my machine (11.4). Except the POS doesn't work.
To use it, I have to authenticate with my Twitter account. So I click Add, select Twitter, it pops up the dialog. I leave the alias as Twitter, click the authenticate with Twitter button. The Firefox icon pops up and bounces around - but Firefox is already running. So nothing happens! No Twitter access, no page loaded, nothing. I shut down Firefox, try it again. Same deal. As usual, no one bothered to test this POS software before releasing it. how to get this **** to authenticate to Twitter in the absence of ANY useful documentation for this junk?

I play MMOs and need to be able to communicate in ventrilo with the guild and groups that I am in. I have never had any problems making windows games work in WINE as long as the appDB says they are good to go, but I have had an ongoing problem with Mangler in a few distros.

My sister was gifted a logitech quickcam chat . The gspca_zc3xx driver is installed and running (tested with mplayer, vlc, google talk + various flash video sites) and it is running 100% ok.
it seems however that skype is STILL not interfacing directly with V4l resulting in some nasty feedback( or just no video feed) so I tried the old work around LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype (worked with my old logitech webcam on an older release) but it STILL isn't working. here is the output
