I've just installed rutorrent following this guide: [URL] As I load the rutorrent site on my server it actually kills rtorrent with this error: Caught Segmentation fault, dumping stack: Stack dump not enabled.

I have a CentOS 5.5 server running rTorrent + ruTorrent installed according to this guide: [URL]
Up until now it worked perfectly. But when following this guide for another projekt: [URL] it asked me to do yum -y update and reboot. Alot of packages were updated. Now it won't work anymore.
ruTorrent says:
"Torrent list not yet available, connection to rtorrent not established"
and
"Bad link to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file."
rTorrent says:
"Could not read resource file: ~/.rtorrent.rc"
The rtorrent process is running. scgi_port/host are correct.
but ive two problems. 1st: The first is how do i change the default page on load up of localhost.eg when i enter the http://localhost/ i get the usual it works symbol.this is because its loading the index.html file in my var/www/ folder.i dont want too create another index file, but how do i change the configuration too load up a different one like home.html2nd: i tried installing sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin and for the most part it worked.but nothign comes up when i go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
View 2 Replies View RelatedI spent most of the day yesterday trying to make this work and haven't gotten really anywhere with it. Building from source quietly failed although it built without error and I got checkinstall to pack it up it didn't actually work.So I rolled back to the repository version of rtorrent.As I understand it, the things I need to do are (I am thwarted at every step):create user with --disabled-password optioncreating the user is no problem except they seem to have no shell, and running any command while su'd as that user throws an error like Code: Cannot open your terminal '/dev/pts/1' - please check.
I found somewhere that changing the permissions on /dev/pts/N solves this problem however N can change after a reboot, or probably following other events so that's likely not the right fix.create init script to run rtorrent as user in previous stepI found an example that seems like it works but I wont know for sure until I get the prior step worked out fully.

I don't think there is anything wrong with oray.cn . But if you need its information just visit oray.cn (Google can translate it for you). When I go to any other page (ex. cnn.com, gmail, etc) the page will load graphically, but then continue to load forever. At this point I cannot click on anything in firefox including the drop-down menus.I must force quit at this point.
I updated last night even though I was already using firefox 3.6. I had a problem with flash last time I updated. I reinstalled firefox and went back to firefox 3.5 without any success.This makes me think that the problem is something other than firefox.I am on a Toshiba Satellite L505-S5965 running ubuntu 9.10. I'd give you more information but when I click on system and go down to "About Ubuntu" it loads forever - this is another problem I need to fix. Ugh. I should never have updated

If a search for just one or two words I don't get the error. I know it's not google because it happens with bing, msn, and yahoo too. Problem with Jaunty (yes I know its old) on line. The thing is some web pages are fine and some just never seem to open up with Firefox.

I also can open up for example, The Guardian (newspaper) home page, but when I try to open any page within the site it will try loading to no avail.
In general it seems to be almost 50% open and 50% will never open.

In ubuntu however, page loading is Unnaturally slow and "[url]...." (or whatever), returns result every 4 seconds. Strange is that Skype and online games (read HoN) work fine, with only problem is store loading 10seconds and during logging time. I will post all the command output.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith the last several updates to Firefox, loading pages from several different sites slows down to (slower than) a crawl - taking sometimes minutes. Most of the time, this occurs loading ads.
I don't remember what release this started with, but I didn't have problems before, and I don't have any problems loading the same web pages on IE8 (running on XP). This is the same on F12 and F11.
I have tried changing some of the securty choices, even tried blocking certain sites, but no luck.
Also, several times after a download, firefox freezes, although the rest of the desktop is okay.
i'm using fedora 13 OS and installed web invoice application in my server. whenever i open the site, the problem on "connection to the server was reset..." is persistent. i was advised to clear the cache which i did. it work for a while but with just a few page loaded the same problem occur and i need to clear the cache. again i found a suggestion in the internet to add post_max_size = 48M file_uploads = On upload_max_filesize = 192M to the php5.ini. i also did this in my server, but the same problem occurs.

It contains PHP scripts to load, let's say, current user's data from database and the internationalized content itself, like "Welcome user" message. The problem for me is the fact, that internationalized content is not continual, and it's all over the page mixed with php scripts.
I don't want to use eval(). I've got 2 , they are, however, not good enough. 1. One file per language version, with scripts included - there will be many languages, so there would have to be many files with redundant data. Also if I wanted to change structure of script, I would have to change it in all pages. 2. Load international data from db, while scripts are on the page - not sure about good database structure I mean, how would I get the right content from database? (content would be split into rows, columns, or something?)
When running Firefox, page loading is very slow (e.g. taking nearly a minute for a ..... video to start; even gmail is slow). This is in contrast with my performance when using, e.g. linuxdcpp (file sharing), where I get speeds over 300kbps. Here is some relevant information:

I am trying to install rutorrent (a webGUI) for rtorrent on a machine running slackware 13.1 32bit. At first I simply installed rtorrent 0.8.7 from SlackBuilds.org and all went fine. It starts normally and also runs normally. Then I installed rutorrent v3.2 from the rutorrent website and it also installed/run fine... The problem is when I start rutorrent, rtorrent crash with a Seg fault. According to the forum at [URL] it seems that rtorrent 0.8.7 is an UNSTABLE release and does not work with rutorrent 3.2.. Then I tried to install rtorrent 0.8.6 (again from Slackbuilds.org) but the compilation fails with tons or errors.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I upgraded to 11.04 on my Server edition I have been experiencing some problems with my FTP-server and Apache. Apache just says that the page is "forbidden" if I'm not logged in on the server, which means I need to go to the server and physically log in or I can do it trough ssh but then when I close my ssh client on my work computer the page is "forbidden" again. And I cant seem to reach the FTP-server from an external address so I need to be in the network to access it.

I installed ubu server 9.10 on my desktop, then I tried to install webmin and I was able to do that too. When I try to connect to webmin I get "page cannot be displayed" so I thought let's change the port...I changed to port 443 as recommended on the website.
Here is the miniserv.conf:

I have an existing blog that I migrated to ubuntu server recently. The site was running fine until I transfered it over to ubuntu. I get a 404 error whenever I view pages that is not my index. I believe it has to do with my .htaccess file.

Basically, I can fill out a form, submit it, and then the next page will never load, or it will load after several minutes. To reiterate, this affects every web app on this server, and many of my users are noticing it.
I've already tried restarting Apache and doing a repair of MySQL tables

I recently built a server from an old box using Ubuntu Server 9.10. This is my first server and I am very new to the server world.I have an Epson Stylus NX400 connected via USB. I have managed to configure it to the point where I can see the printer listed on my client laptop and can print a test page. However, I cannot print anything else. When I access the job history through the CUPS adminI can see that the print jobs were recognized and marked as complete, even though the printer never physically engaged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my server from 9.10 to 10.04. I have ISPconfig installed on it and worked like a charm until the upgrade. Now when I point a browser to my site the page just hangs as if it is trying to load it but I never get an error nor does it load the page. I have tried to restart apache using /etc/init.d/apache2 restart in which I receive an fail error:

I installed lighttpd to be able to view cgi files that display the status of my UPS. For the most part is has worked w/o incident i.e. until recently when the UPS battery failed on my APC backups xs 1500 lcd. I could not view the multimon.cgi file via the localhost or 127.0.0.1 url e.g.: [URL]... I'd get 404 page not found message. After checking links here and on the web, I tried: [URL]... The page is displayed. From this discovery, I'm not sure that this is a web server configuration or a network host configuration issue or what. I'm running Lucid with all updates, no mods to lighttpd except I added the mod_fastcgi line to the lighttpd.conf file
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to blind deluge torrent to port 80 but as I'm running already a server on this port, I've decided to use the ProxyPass option in a vhost. As I prefer running through HTTPS, I've used my vhost 443 that I already use for bind AjaxTerm (SSH with a web interface)
But whereas AjaxTerm works, Deluge doesn't...I only get a black page but the tab name is correct (ie, Deluge: Web UI 1.3.1)

I am trying to set up cherokee on my vps that I have bought. Now I am able to get it installed and even was able to get to the to the cherokee admin manager so everything seems to be working fine even was able to start the server. What I am having issues with is the main page instead of getting the cherokee greeting page I get IT Works!
