I have downloaded the file "icaclient_11.100_i386.patched.deb" from the Citrix website and installed it on my Ubuntu laptop. Everything seems to work fine. I can login to the secured website and even can click on the application.
After a while I get this error message: "You have not chosen to trust Thawte Server CA, the issuer of the server's security certificate (SSL error 61)"
I deinstalled the ICA Client (Citrix Receiver) and re-installed it again, but nothing seems to help. I keep receiving this "Thawte Server CA" error!
I have checked everything in FireFox (Thawte is there) and also tried to load the certificate, but FF tells me the certificate is already known to it.
So, why am I getting the error that I didnt choose to trust Thawte Server CA?
I'm working with OpenSusse 11.2. I installed and activated the NFS server via yast2. I'm unable to change the setting of the actual printer on my system, cant even delete itthe system ask me the root password, after i enter it, i always get this message "There was an error during the CUPS operation:'client-error-not-authorized'."
I've been switching out computers to the Ubuntu distro and so far it's been very successful until this recent snag! As I am trying to have a printer plugged in through USB on one computer and shared on the other! I have the USB on the second computer and it found the printer just fine, no problems and nothing else I had to install! I then went to the first computer and tried to add the printer through the CUPS website using all the proper addresses and queue names and I receive CUPS "client-error-not-possible". I have read other threads on this very same problem but to be honest they just make no sense whatsoever to me! I was thinking of just giving up and using a print server but I know that I will run into the same snag as even then I still need CUPS.
GNU Emacs 23.1.1 I've noticed that if I run Emacs and M-x server-start, I can use the emacsclient program as usual, but if if I start Emacs using emacs --daemon and then try to use emacsclient the new frame locks up and the shell outputs *ERROR*: Arithmetic error. This issue doesn't happen if I use the -t flag to force terminal mode when running emacsclient.
I am trying to setup an HPC4400 printer attached to a Windows XP box on a Fedora-11 box with the latest updates and am getting the error " Cups server error Client-error-not-possible ". Using the Cups GUI on the fedora-11 box I can find the printer, I get verify that the shared printer exists but still get the message when I try to install it.
I hooked up an Hp deskjet portable to ubuntu and keep getting the above error when I finish installing the printer! How do I get by this? 10.04 LTS It's hooked up to LPT-1 port!
I am running Fedora 15 and want to add a network printer (Brother HL 2040) on a Win pc reunning XP pro. Fedora finds the network printer, shows that is shares, but when I try to finish I get the above message. I have emptied the spool file of the test page I tried earlier and nothing but the tmp file remains. Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm having problem running open SSH. I have installed SSH, on my system, but when I run:ssh localhost.I get the error :Read from socket failed:Connection reset by peer.I get that same error when trying to connect from a different local computer. When I attempted to restart the service by typing: sudo /etc/init.d/ssh restart.I proceeded to generate a new set of keys by running, ssh-keygen -b 1024.But I get the same errors after doing so.
When I installed Fedora GNOME I could use my printer fine (But I had to change the recommended driver) Now, I switched to KDE and I plug-in my printer, It automaticly adds it, Now I have to delete it and re-add to fix the small bug... Except when I press "Remove Printer" I get "There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-forbidden'."
I have openvpn server configured with bridged interface on my openwrt router. The client is running ubuntu 9.10 with config:
Client dev tap proto udp remote x.x.x.x 1194 resolv-retry infinite nobind persist-key persist-tun ca /home/blwegrzyn/openvpn/ca.crt cert /home/blwegrzyn/openvpn/client1.crt key /home/blwegrzyn/openvpn/client1.key comp-lzo verb 5 (x.x.x.x was hidden)
When the client connects the log says: WRRRWRSat Jan 9 20:16:03 2010 us=332404 PUSH: Received control message: 'PUSH_REPLY,redirect-gateway,dhcp-option DNS 192.168.1.241,route-gateway 192.168.1.254,ping 10,ping-restart 120' ..... Sat Jan 9 20:16:03 2010 us=343906 ERROR: Linux route add command failed: external program exited with error status: 7
The server is trying to push default gateway 192.168.1.254 to the client and the client is on 192.168.2.0 network as you can see the route addition fails with SIOCADDRT: No such process. This is because the tap interface does not have any ip and the route addition is not possible. The tap interface is not getting the dhcp address through the tunnel, not sure why (this works on XP). To fix the problem I must manually add the ip to the tap interface, and the default gateway, but then i must add dhcp server to resolv.conf to make it work and once I disconnect the computer does not know the old valid dhcp anymore and cannot communicate. Why openvpn cannot get the ip automatically? Why it cannot grab the dhcp from the tunnel? Is it related to the wireless card being managed by the network manager? This works perfect on windows machine (xp sp3).
I have a problem with getting my fedora 14 laptop to connect to my fedora 12 server that is hosting my smb HP Deskjet 5650 printer. The error that I get is the following: CUPS server error. There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-not-possible'.
I have been able to get my daughters Ubuntu laptop and my wife's Windows XP laptop to connect and print without a problem.
I am getting tcp client connection refused error, when trying to establish tcp client connection from redhat linux to solaris unix. Connect system call is giving connection refused error
when I reviewed the error_log I found that it is logging thousands of errors which are similar. I've included a sample of the errors. The following error seems to happen constantly, from many different ip's...
Code:
[Thu Apr 22 01:02:06 2010] [error] [client (the ip address removed)] File does not exist: /home/virtual/site4/fst/var/www/html/colombia-news,
I am trying to send a message to a windows machine using smbclient have few questions
1. Do I need to have samba server running on the senders side for this to work smbclient -M -L sam (since there was some error popping up when I try to execute this with out samba service running part of the error is tdb(/var/cache/samba/unexpected.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0x43414341 at offset=4652)
2. After I started the samba service I am getting fallowing message and error I tried both name smbclient -M -L sam and the IP smbclient -M -I 192.168.11.12 added interface ip=192.168.11.20 bcast=192.168.11.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Cannot resolve name -L#0x3
I noticed that a bit after I had updated Ubuntu 10.04 through the Update Manager, I couldn't print at all! (I run ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop and have a networked HP Officejet 6110xi all-in-one printer connected to a comp running Windows XP home on the same LAN). Everything works when I boot up in windows vista, so the problem is definitely in Ubuntu.
First, I checked the printer jobs and it said that there was an error with a filter or something. Restarting the job didn't do squat, so I decided to try reinstalling my printer, but get the same CUPS error "error-client-not-possible" right after I click "Apply". I then Googled the issue but didn't find much of anything, so I thought I'd try reinstalling CUPS. No luck there either... Same error again and again.
One of the recent system updates to my 10.04 system has stuffed the boot
I get the following error:-
error while loading shared libraries /lib/libply-boot-client.so.2
I have searched the forum and found reference to this problem back in April / March this year, just wondering why I have hit it with the latest updates. I always keep up to date with updates, so strange I seem to be hitting an old problem.
I recently donwloaded boinc and every time I launch I get this error "cannot connect to core client." I went through the guides and opened port 31416 in external zone, am I doing this right? The guide said to put it in the DMZ, what's the difference?

I'm new to ubuntu and trying to use bit torrent, while installing there was an error message, but the program was still shown as installed. When I tried to use it i got this error "urlopen error [Errno 111]".
Yast2 appears to be broken. Whenever I open the YaST control center and attempt to install new software, I am greeted with this error message. When I click on the "Install New Software" shortcut from the start menu, nothing happens.
I researched this error message and found that apparently I can install software via Zypper, but all the commands to enter in the terminal result in a message about an unrecognized command.
I love Ubuntu but there is just one thing that I cannot get working. I have vista on this computer (Which I am going to delete after I get this working) when this computer is booted into vista then I type "192.168.1.65" (which is this computers internal ip address) and it connects to it without a problem. When I try this on ubuntu with KRFB running I type "192.168.1.65:5900" as it tells me to do with the added port number. This computer (This is the one I am Connecting to says "The remote user has been authenticated and is now connected." and when I hover over the icon it says "Desktop sharing - Connected with 192.168.1.70" which is my laptops IP address. On my laptop however it says "Remote Desktop Disconnected Because of a protocol error detected at the client (code 0x1104), this session will be disconnected. Please try connecting to the remote computer again." No matter how many times I try it doesn't work.
I have just installed a Canon Pixma iP2200 on Fedora 14. The installation 'seemed' to go OK but whenever I try to print anything I get the following error:
"There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-document-format-not-supported'."
I have done a bit of searching and the only advice i could find is to uncomment some lines in /etc/cups/mime.convs and /etc/cups/mime.types but I don't have either of those files!
