Feb 20, 2010I readded all my sources and ppa's on the upgrade but now they are disabled? Also I have a malformed line..Why would they be disabled if I changed them all one by one through software sources?

May 20, 2011I am running 11.04 on an HP tx2 laptop. I have been able to perform updates until the last one. Then I get the following message when I try to use update manager or terminal to get updates or just to generally install a new program. Could not initialize the package information An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information. I performed the update from 10.10 online so I don't have the cd nor will I be able to download it. Not enough time to do so.

Nov 19, 2010i am unable to open update manager when i open it , it gives back a msg stating that cannot initialize the package information. and here is the error msg.

This Error comes up after 94% of the install. I also cannot seem to get the side by side install option to work (sometimes this option appears sometimes it does not) I am not sure but I beleive seome of the install files have been placed on the hard drive because I only get the option now to install on the hard drive and totally wipe clean or the emptiest hard drive. So how would I get the possible Ubuntu install off the Hard drive. I have used this CD to Install before it has no scratches therefore should work.
