Software :: System News Program For Posting Binaries?

It seems strange to me that there are so few newsreader programs for Linux that are good for posting binaries, if they do it at all. For a community with such an ethos of sharing, there sure are a lot of "grab"-only newsreaders!
I have used newspost a lot in the past, but I encounter fatal errors when connecting through stunnel, as I now tend to do, and development seems to be dead with that program. Can anyone recommend any other program - console, X, whatever - that will post multipart binary files?
The program tripwire suggest a reinstall in single user mode before you set up its database. So you can be sure there is nothing scary on the computer to start with.I've tried doing this by a rather crude and direct method

I have the newest version of opensuse dual booting on my computer because I will be writing and running some molecular simulation programs this year on a computer cluster at the university and the computers on the cluster are using eclipse and opensuse so I wanted to have these set up at home so I could work at home a bit.
Anyway, I downloaded the eclipse indigo IDE for c/c++ for linux of the eclipse website and extracted it to my home/user directory. Whenever I try to run a program in eclipse I get a "Binaries not found" error. I installed the c/c++ development tools in Yast and also installed gcc and make thru zypper in the terminal. What is causing this problem? I've looked on forums and tried to fix this for the last couple days and I feel like i've tried everything.
I haven't ever had this working as I've never tried before today. Gwibber won't post to my ping.fm account. I'm certain the correct username and web-key have been entered (though Gwibber doesn't tell you one way or the other). It doesn't matter if I try to post via the Gwibber interface or the indicator-applet-session textbox... neither work. No error messages.
- I know Gwibber is working because it will post to twitter, facebook, identica, etc. - I know my ping.fm account is working because it will post direct from website and/or browser extension
Ok chaps, what do I need similar to Irfan View on T'other OS (hiss) to edit the Size of Photo's, friends tend to get miffed if I email 5MB Pic's. Loads of viewers etc on Ubuntu, like Playing Hopscotch in a Minefield, can give you a really Crap Day!
Rather than get in hot (or even slightly-above-comfortable temperature) water for reviving a closed (ca. 2007) thread without moderator permission or acquaintance of the OP personally or by proxy, I'll post this alternate solution (approach?) along with one positive real-world example illustrating how mine is easier to write and is equally reliable, if not altogether better. The thread is here. Their solution:

From where I sit, getting the file type string instead of an integer, which can be equally (if not often more) accurate, makes for an easier time of setting the conditional and, maybe only in terms of a few ticks, a faster script from start to finish. I think my method is better, and proven so to the limits of my knowledge and ability here in this OP.
having problem dealing with gnome-do, before this, I never have problem while tweeting with the tweeter plugin in gnome-do.Now, when I want to tweet up with gnome-do, the gnome-do suddenly crash and I need to open it back via Application to make it use back again.
[URL].. is a TV player client,allowing connection to several international news streams(video/audio) from around the world. it is available for Linux, Mac as well as pervasive game systems. ran ok in 10.3 but seg faults in 11.3..after manually tinkering with its audio setup in ~/.openalrc it runs good here until the seg fault...sometime it runs five minutes,sometimes 25 minutes or more...i have been unable to detect the triggering event..started by executing 'livestation' in an open terminal always results(eventually) in "Segmentation fault" and nothing else as the client disappears..anyone else seen this?or, running with no problems?

I want to have an inn server running on my own server, both to relay my prefered newsgroups and to manage my own newsgroups.
I installed inn with YaST, but I'm lost in the inn documentation. I'm pretty sure openSUSE defaults solve most problems but can't find where I have to setup my own config
For some reason Fox News Video, does not work in FC12, but CNN BBC video are all fine and plays. Flash is installed.e.g. URL... results in just a black screen with a fox logo and no video.

I have installed OpenSuse 11.3 and I works quite well in my dell latitude xt2, even touch screen right out of the box.
I like Liferea for news feeds but when I try to read any feed from Slashdot it crashes after some seconds. It also happens with another source, etwinning.es.

I have a laptop with a broken lid, it is beyond repair so I want to make something out of it. I have unscrewed some screws and I have managed to swivel the screen around, so it looks like a tablet (screen over keyboard - not glued - yet!)I want to change this laptop thing into a News/Calendar/Weather station, that turns on automatically (I can set this in the BIOS) and start running. I am running Ubuntu 64-bit and I downloaded a 32-bit binary. I tried to run it in the shell using ./file but zsh said that it did not exist. However it shows up in nautilus and ls. Is this supposed to happen?
After upgrading to Lucid I can compile but not run binaries from the console. I have build-essentials installed. When I try to run a compiled program I get this error: bash: .: ./main: cannot execute binary file
Are there gcc and g++ binaries available for download anywhere? I can only seem to find sources, which I can't get to build (trying to upgrade to a newer compiler).
I just got F14 installed on my pendrive with persistent data and I want to be able to play DVD's, .mp3, .avi etc. So of course I try to download vlc, but I have no internet connection on F14 and can't find any simple, non-RPMfusion way to download the binaries (I had an awful experience with the source a while ago). Does anyone know where I can get them?
I recently installed FC15. When I try to execute a binary file, it shows permission denied message even when I login with the root user through "su -" command. It also give me the same message when I try to run a python script. How can I execute binaries in FC15?
