Sep 23, 2010I bet some of you do know of this issue A Toshiba Satellite M100-SP1011 with a 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron was installed two 2 GB PCS-4200 533 MHz tablets. Bus runs at 533. BIOS would accept them at once but reports there are only 2.8 installed. This BIOS doesn't allow selecting the amount of RAM for video.

Jul 7, 2010I have installed (successfully) Ubuntu 10.04 ppc on my powerpc g4 mac. 400mhz, 1g ram. Its the blue model. It works great, but it does not detect my monitor, and I can not change the settings past 800 X 600. I am using a Dell 19 inch monitor. Analog input (not DVI yet) resolution 12080 x 1024 60hz. I believe I need to change the info in the xconfig file (but I don't know to what or how), and I may not be saying that correctly.

I have firmware installed (/lib/firmware/b43, /lib/firmware/b43legacy), b43 module loaded (listed in lsmod output, dmesg says "Broadcom 43xx driver loaded"), but my wireless card is not detected anyway. The manual says I should see b43 in System > Admin > Additional Drivers, but there is only STA listed there.

Jul 10, 2011I installed fedora12 redhat linux on my desktop with install DVD. When the install was complete I clicked ok to reboot. When it rebooted it came up with a black screen asking for a localhost login and password. The only thing the install asked for during the set up was a root password. I typed in root for the localhost login and root password and takes me to the command line as root. Will not start the GUI at start up.

Aug 13, 2010I am using smartd for monitoring disk's status and i am using smartmontools-5.39.1.tar.gz package for compilation. I am able to compile and run it on HP servers(redhat). Now,i need to execute it for IBM RAID SERVERS too on which compilation is done but i need to configure smartd.conf for them so as to monitor all existing disks. (only DEVICESCAN works in conf file). Rest devices to monitor(eg. ata, sda devices) don't work at all. it is possible in IBM raid servers and if yes, then what configurations should i use.

Dec 11, 2010I have just joined this respective forum and I have a issue with website hosted on Virtual Redhat Server. Scenario is like this I have three virtual redhat server(R1,R2,R3) 5.0 on VMware workstation 7.0 installed on window 7(physical machine), on R1 I have DNS server , On R2 I have Apache web server and I have hosted a website called "geekgadget.com" just for testing purpose, R3 is just a normal server nothing installed on it yet..
Problem : I can access my website [URL] from all of my three virtual redhat server but when I try to access it from some of my physical XP,window 7 machines as well as from virtual XP machine present on my local LAN, website cannot be accessed so I am not getting the point why it happens because I checked that my port 80 is listening.
