Fedora Networking :: Wireless Card Not Detected - Drivers Not Installed

I have installed Fedora 14 on my new laptop Thinkpad T410 but the wireless card is not detected.
I tried to install the drivers but got error. How to install the driver.
I have downloaded and installed Fedora 10.Now I am setting up the network and in the 'network configuration' it finds the wireless device (ralink) in the 'hardware' section of the configuration - I set this to eth0 (it originally set itself to wan0 and I still had the same problems, now it doesn't give me the option to put it back to wan0).Now I goto the devices tab and try to set up the device with eth0 - which it seems to find.But when I goto activate the device it tells me that eth0 cannot be found
I am recently trying to get a steady wireless connection running. I am currently using the default settings/driver Fedora 13 is stocked with. As my internet browsing is somewhat up and down in load times, I decided to check in a video game which is generally a good test for me. haha I am harshly spiking and cannot find the source of my problem so my guess is a driver issue.

It is is seemingly right, my Windows 7 harddrive works just fine, this is just one last of the few issues I'm having from fully formatting my winblows HD to use as Linux storage.
I cannot find any native AR5008 Linux Drivers for my card and it has been a frustrating day. I guess I'm not cut to be a network analyst just yet.

I have just upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 and now my wireless card isn't being detected as far as I know. It was working perfectly in the previous version. At the moment I've physically put an ethernet cable straight to the router.
I bought a new TOSHIBA C660 - i5010 today and installed.Lucid Lynx 10.04 on it, but it has not detected my wirelessg broadcom 80211 (STA) driver debp interface.
I started on ubuntu 8.10 and my wireless card has always worked,Since i did a fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 it still seems to work to a point.I can see networks, click them and use a password to connect but it never seems to carry on, I typed the password correctly and after a minute it asks for it again.I have read a post about problems other people are having and that i need to install a different program.But i cant install another program if there is no wireless as apt-get doesn't work without internet connection.So... I need to download something that will fix it (possible update if one has been released) to xp (partition) then access xp partition from ubuntu and install it.
I have an issue with wireless connectivity on my laptop. Its a HP dm3 and the intel network adapter is supported as I can scan and detect wireless access points.However, when I attempt to connect to my home network, it fails and this is probably a result of two things: The BSSID is missing and/or the DHCP client ID is missing.I am running Kubuntu 10.10 32 bit
I want to load Atheros wireless card to ubuntu linux OS having kernel 2.6.32.21. I have loaded the atheros driver and I observed the following log messages when card was inserted.

My suspect was the driver was 2.6.35.1 kernel based i may need to update my kernel, but i have other laptop having 2.6.32-21 kernel and this card works fine.
I am running the latest version of arch linux on a Dell Latitude D420. So far everything has worked perfectly except the wireless. It seems that Arch does not even detect the wireless because ifconfig -a only gives me the loopback and eth0. I installed ndiswrapper as well as the drivers. lsmod | grep ndiswrapper shows that ndiswrapper is being loaded on boot. I tried to install the iwp3945 drivers, but they have become obsolete so pacman was unable to find them. I also tried installing the iwl3945 drivers as explained here [URL] but still no luck.
I searched this forum for posts similar to the problem I am having and i found a few, but I did not understand the solution (unexperienced user here) so I thought i would ask.I recently installed fedora 13 on my laptop and everything appears to be detected, with the exception to my wireless card (a broadcom 43225 card).I checked the list of drivers that came with installation and i could not find one for this particular card. is there any way for me to get a driver that would work with it (maybe a more general driver, just something to make it possible to connect over the internet) Or is it
Well I've been trying to get drivers installed for this card for a few days now and I can't get anything to work. The proprietary drivers for this card don't support the xorg version installed in F14. I've tried mesa and ati drivers but I can't get them to actually work, they both just cause x to crash during startup. I've looked through the threads for ati drivers but they all seem to talk about using the latest catalyst drivers and thus non of them have helped me much.
Been using Ubuntu for 1 yr now on my Dell Dimension 8250 but a newbie with my Averatec AV3270-EH1 laptop circa 2005. Ubuntu 10.04 does not detect the Integrated WLAN card/adapter. I've looked at all the forums/posts but none had the issue I have. When I type lspci into the terminal i get this back:

I have Dell 1537 laptop having Intel 5100 wireless card. It is not supported by Fedora 9. I have tried downloading the driver iwlwifi-5000-ucode-8.24.2.12.tgz from URL...Downloads and copied it to folder /lib/firmware and rebooted the machine. But still it is not detected by the system. Is there any solution to this problem .
How do I check what video driver I have installed in the terminal? Then how do I install or yum install it? I wanna do everything through command line soz.. I have an ATI 4850 I believe.
i have installed ndiswrapper, and the correct drivers for the wireless card.
Code: ndiswrapper -l: bcmwl5a : driver installed device (14E4:4320) present I seemed to be having a conflict with the generic drivers which loaded for my wifi device 'b43-pci-bridge' and the ndiswrapper drivers i installed.
So i ran the command 'rmmod ssb' and now my broadcomm wireless device is "unclaimed"
I'm having problems getting the wifi to work on my toshiba satellite pro l40 (psl4be). My laptop has a wifi card built in but linux cant seem to be able to find it. I tryed following these instructions and i got this output:

as you can see its telling me i have no wifi card, even though i am fully aware i do. ive tryed using ndiswrapper to install the windows drivers of the ethernet adaptor but my wifi still doesnt work, im guessing ethernet has nothing to do with wifi.I intend to convert from windows, however if i cant get the wifi to work i can only see linux at a major disadvantage as i use my wifi alot.
I have a Broadcom B4312(I believe) wireless card and installed the drivers for it, but under the Wireless tab in Network Connections, it doesn't show "wlan0" or anything similar to "eth0"(which it shows under "Wired"). I ran iwconfig and this is what I got:

I have installed Fedora 8 on my laptop. My laptop has a " Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI " wireless Card. I want to get the wireless working. I did an 'lsmod' and I found that the modules for this card is not installed. I tried to start Network Manager, but network manager cannot connect to wireless but it cant. I have Fedora11 running in my machine and it has no LAN port (RJ-45). I have a wireless PCMCIA card.The model of the wireless card is NL-2511CD EXT2(ETSI).When I insert that card to the PCMCIA slot a window pops up and ask for a WEP key. My wireless router is configured with WPA but above pop-up has no WPA option. I suspect my fedora installation does not have the necessary driver for my wireless card.I want to install that driver. I can transfer that file to the machine via thumb drive since it has no network connection yet. How do I install this? Please refer below images as I'm still a newbie at linux.
installing the PCI wireless card drivers in CentOS linux. I have "Sabrent PCI-G802 PCI Wireless Card - 54Mbps, 802.11g". I tried looking in google and tried multiple ways to install the driver but failed , I have followed the instructions given in the link i.e. performed the following steps .....

I have the original cd (this cd has linux drivers also) which came with the PCI card but its not a plug and play cd like the MS windows, the cd drive is not reading the disk (But i can open it in windows 7). I copied the installation files from the cd to usb drive on my windows 7 PC and copied them on to the CentOS /home/user directory and performed the above mentioned steps. I have installed a wireless card in my Ubuntu 9.04 System. When I start Firefox, it keep searching for a while and it cannot connect to the internet. I have attached screen shots of network connections. When I type the address of the router in the browser address window, it cannot access the router.
I'm working with 10.10 (Maverick) on an older Compaq laptop. Wireless card is a Cisco Aironet 350. This card is listed as supported and drivers included in the server distro.
During the Network configuration portion of the install, I selected eth1 (wireless); the card came active and a valid network connection was established.
However, after the full server installation the interface (eth1) is not seen.
What's confusing is that modprobe -l shows the drivers as present:
I have just installed Fedora 14 on my desktop machine and have just discovered that it can't detect my WiFi card. The card is an Edimax EW-7711In which the makers say will run with Linux. I know that the card works fine with Ubuntu because my brother uses the same card in his Ubuntu machine but he is away until after Christmas so I don't know what he did to make it work other than I know he used ndiswrapper and the Windows drivers that were supplied with the card. I have looked for ndiswrapper in the Fedora repositories but it doesn't appear to be there.
I have installed Ubuntu for netbooks on my four year old laptop and of course the wifi card is unable to search for wireless networks when I'm booted into Ubuntu. I do have the driver software on a recovery disk. Would installing it in Ubuntu fix my problems?

I have searched and have not found anything specific to my issue. I am currently using NDISWrapper to load the bcmwl15 driver and when it's active it works beautifully.Problem is sometimes at boot, the card doesn't "turn on" and I don't know how else to describe it. The OS does not even detect that the hardware is present. I have disabled wireless hotkey in BIOS. The only way to make the wireless card "active" is to reboot with the wiredconnection to the router. After doing that the wireless card "wakes up" and works awesome.Is there anything I can do to make sure the driver load at boot?mes I get the error that NDISWrapper is not modprobbed when I go to network configuration and if I wish to do i now? I don't know if that has anything to do with the boot sequence. Using the <modprobe ndiswrapper> command as root does nothing permanant
I have a problem with Netgear Wireless WG311v3 card and it is not listed in "ifconfig -a". Network Manager does not see the Netgear card either, just eth0 the onboard wired NIC. Here is the result of lspci.
