I just loaded octave. I ran through a few examples of how to implement a script file. Everything works until I get to "plot". When I run the "plot" command I get the following.

sh: gnuplot: not found
Just to double check my work, I ran the following code:
y=[1 2 3];
plot(y);
A formerly working system now gives an 'error 17' at Grub instead of booting. Here are the facts I have gathered thus far.

i am trying to compile kernel 2.6.23 on Fedora 12 After fixing a few bugs (getline error, %dil ,etc) i was able to compile the kernel made initramfs img using dracut updated grub and then booted up the new kernel 2.6.23 but it fails to boot with following error mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext4'

A directory on my desktop has recently become inaccessible. The error message that is given when I attempt to open the directory is as follows: Could not display "nikki stuff", The file is of unknown type. I brought up a terminal and did an ls -l on the directory, which produced the following: -rwxrwxrwx 1 nikki nikki 314 2010-07-26 19:16 nikkis%20stuff.desktop Unfortunately, the computer is not mine, so I do not know much more about how this happened.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgrade my armel NAS from etch to squeeze. During the partitioning step of the installation I intentionally left unmounted the data partition (900GB formatted XFS) but after the installation I'm not able to mount it.
I edited the fstab file adding the last line
And tried a mount but I get the message
So i noticed throught lsmod that I don't have the module for xfs
Tried installing xfsprogs but it didn't helped. So I searched for xfs-modules but seems it doesn't exists for armel architecture. Am I right? What does it means? That XFS is not supported in armel Squeeze? Assumed I can't transfer/backup 900GB of partition, is there a way to convert it on-the-fly to a supported filesystem format?
I changed the first line of /etc/fstab in an attempt to get rid of an annoying message "mount: unknown filesystem type 'static'". All I did was put a "#" on the first line .... changing the original from:
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
to:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#

I have tried desperately to get to the file system so that I can edit that first line in fstab out but nothing works and the file system comes up as read only ...

when checking the /proc/filesystems, i noticed that 'ntfs' is not listed there, several forum suggested i try running 'modprobe ntfs'. If that is not found, you'll need a kernel with ntfs support. i'm so lost, where to i get the modprobe ntfs
on my dual HD5500/GT940M. I can not turn on Nvidia. just install bumblebee and got the error "unknown header type 7f" if I remove bumblebee, Nvidia 340 loaded but system run on HD5500, no way to use Primus or to switch to 2nd card.

I had windows with ntfs I installed ubuntu. All ok. Gurb with 2 os, can ran windows and ubuntu and can mount ntfs partition in ubuntu I installed debian with lvm over ubuntu partition. I can't mount ntfs partition now, and windows doesn't appears in gurb

I can't active vg because haven't name, but is not lvm, is only ntfs partition Maybe ubuntu puts in lvm and grub? Any idea? If I change with fdisk to ntfs i lose all the information in the partition?

* 500 GB Hard Disk: Storage (which is the one that works).

Many of mails sent from my mail server that are in Queue;The main reason is deffered by domains like yahoo,aol,etc.but there is one more error that i keep getting and that is Host Unknown,Below is an example from mail log,The catch is,test mail sent on the same email id sent from my personal mail from the same server i.e. url was deliveredHowever,another mail containing client information sent from customercare@mycompanysdomain ended up in queue.

I have a problem with Transmission. After using it for over six months without a single problem, it suddenly stopped downloading. In the torrents that do no get downloaded, I get an error message Tracker responded: Unknown error (0) in the info window, tracker tab. But there are torrents with the same tracker that don'thave a problem and get downloaded fineThe logs don't give a clue about whats wrong either.I tried downloading those torrents with Vuze and I had the same problem. Everything has been working fine for a a long time but yesterday I tried to delete an unused partition through the Disk Utility in ubuntu (System->Adminstration->Disk Utility) and everything was messed up. I used to get the "Grub error: Unknown filesystem". I managed to create an ubuntu bootable usb and followed some tutorials for fixing grub but all i managed to do is to get another error: "Grub error: No such disc". After some experimentation i got
"Grub stage 1.5" which gave me a grub> command prompt./dev/sda is the drive containing Windows and Ubuntu.

I have mounted a windows share folder on /mnt. When i gave any directory within /mnt/ to stat function it fails with errorno 75. perror shows "Value too large for defined data type". Example 1 is fail but Example 2 works fine.
when I try to boot up Ubuntu, I get an error 'Unknown error: 'loadfont'
And then it restarts. I installed with Wubi, so can't boot with livecd. Any work arounds found?
