I have just exported 3 png files out of gimp for a html document I'm working on right now, and they are all almost the same, except I need each to load when the user does something. So the first image will display on the page, and when a user puts their cursor over it, then it will load image 2. When they press it, it loads image 3.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am trying to write a small gtk+-2 program to display whatever image it is given and I was wondering if anyone out there has done something similar. I am not too familiar with writing programs for gtk and its been a while since I've fiddled with C. I went over the tutorial for gtk and it seams pretty easy to get a window to display, but I do not see anything that refers to loading an image or displaying it in the window. I am wondering if this can be done purely with gtk or will I need to use some type of image library like imlib2?

I have this function that is supposed to print draw the first image from a function then hide the rest of the images using 'display: none' however for some reason the boolean test does not seem to work on one of my servers however it works on another, is there some php.ini setting I am missing or can you see any issues with the following code:

I have a rather large image that I want to print onto several pages. How would you recommend doing this? I've been copying sections and printing like that using GIMP, and I have had limited success using presentation type software, but is there a faster way of doing this?

My mouse cursor has acquired some strange background image showing what looks to be paragraphs of chinese glyphs (they are too small to make out clearly). This background image is contained in rougly a 1 inch square with the mouse cursor hot spot in the upper left-hand corner. The mouse cursor is visible, but whatever is under those glyphs is covered.
I've tried the mouse configuration gui -- but it says nothing of background images for the mouse. I've also deleted and recreated my xconfig.org file to see if that somehow got mangled. I've been searching the web for a couple of hours, but cant seem to find anything related to my problem.
I run a HTPC which I recently upgraded 11.2 -> 11.3.Most things work fine but I've got an oddity. After the TV is shut down and restored the mouse cursor is "frozen":The old mouse image stays where it isHowever, the mouse IS active, in that you can (blindly) move the mouse, see it mouse-over widgets, and activate them - there's just no visible cursor where the hotspot is.Hardware is ATI chipset (can't remember which, offhand, but it's only a year or two old), running AMD driver, with a HDMI link to the TV.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOne of my favorite features of fire fox is the page zoom ( ctrl + / ctrl - ) that zooms the entire page retaining the layout how ever when I installed 10.04 on my main desktop firefox started scaling the images very poorly ( ie no smoothing, leaving the image looking extremely pixelated ).All threads I've found on the subject seems to related to ubuntu 8, and suggest that a bug fix was underway... hopefully this means there is an easy fix - but what?info;Same computer it worked fine on ubuntu 9.xx and windows 7 - when doing desktop zoom (meta + mouse scroll ) the images also scales as expected.

When I attempt to print a PDF file one of these prints a mirror image; the other cuts approximately 1/2 inch from the top of the page.
OpenOffice.org files appear to print without problems.
I have openSUSE 11.2 and HPLIP 3.9.8
When playing dvd's, vob files and wmv files, the image comes with high contrast colors ,very intense red/green/blue. very dark too. I have vlc 1.1.4 installed, using ubuntu 10.10, libdvdcss2 installed. for the rest of the video formats it seems to work fine. any ideas on what should I start debugging?

The problem:
- if i try to print an OpenOffice or LibreOffice Calc with an image and text, the image is not printed (the space is blank).
- if i try to print an OpenOffice or LibreOffice Calc with just an image, it's printed great.
- if i try to print an OpenOffice or LibreOffice Impress, the images are not printed but the text is printed great.

I was given a forensic Image which I now know is a DD image of the drive (Vista) and am trying to mount the image or extract the image to another drive. I'm not sure of the extention type or if the image is a partition or the entire drive. I think it is the entire drive.
Is it possible to mount a DD image to a device. If I can't do that I just want to extract the files to run some programs against the drive. Can I view the files under Ubuntu or do I have to remove the drive and stick it into a Vista computer.
I purchased a second drive today and was hoping the command line would be something simple.
Or am I on the wrong track, should I be doing this all in a windows environment. The reason I picked ubuntu was because of the reporting tools.

Goal: Create a bootable USB drive that contains multiple DVD Isos. Upon boot, a menu is displayed that allows the choice of several OS installs.
Problem: I just can't figure out how to format syslinux.cfg to load my specified iso image. Here is semi sudo code for what I want to do with my config:
sudo syslinux config
label <any label>
menu label install SLES 10 x86
kernel linux
append <path_to_iso=/sles10/dvd1_x86.iso> autoyast=10x86.xml
code....
Googling tells you quite a bit about syslinux.cfg, but it doesn't reallyt tell you how to load specific file for installation.

I have a fast machine (8 core 3.4ghz, 4GB RAM, 64bit FC15) everything else graphics wise is smooth and sexy but with inkscape try and zoom in with NO image loaded and it tic, tic, tic, jerky movements etc

I am a windows user and am trying to display a jpg image file on linux every x hours.In Windows, if I were to perform the same task, I would just give out the path to schtasks.exe and it would open the image in the default viewer,is the case same with linux as well? Do I just execute:
