i have problems to install wineASIO to openSUSE 11.2.
Packet installer says that "repository exists" already, don't know what to do.
runs Reaper through wine but VST plugins wont work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to openSuSE 11.4 using the DVD. 11.3 used KNetworkManager which is broken in 11.4 and Novell now urges people to use plasmoid-networkmanagement. This is contained on the DVD, I have definitely seen it in YAST when I checked whether KNetworkManager is installed (and it is listed in [URL]
Consequently I now wanted to install the plasmoid-networkmanagement, but it is gone: neither YAST nor zypper list it anymore I dug around in all search modi but it is never listed -- seemingly gone for good from the DVD.
Before this I installed Gnome (and some other goodies) and tried the network management here (didn't work either). I then asked LQ [URL] and did some google-ing. So now I know that I should use the plasmoid-networkmanagement -- which I can't reach anymore.
I deleted the DVD-repository and added it again, using first YAST, then zypper.
Today I've setup Debian Squeeze for netbooting with tftp-hpa and isc-dhcp-server. I have also downloaded-only all gnome packages (apt-get install -d gnome) and setup a small apt repository for base system and gnome on the same pc (server).However, my small apt repository is missing debian installer components like libc-udeb, dmsetup-udeb, ppp-modules-udeb, etc. The question is: Where to obtain those packages and their dependencies? I cannot find or download them with apt-get nor aptitude.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using OpenSUSE 11.4, trying to install to an iSCSI partition. I'm using gPXE to boot to my iSCSI volume. This works fine, and pulls up grub with my boot options. I think boot the openSUSE 11.4 entry, which kicks off the boot process. I see the steps for running DHCP on the interface, but when it gets to iscsiadm, there's an error logging in to the iSCSI target portal along the lines of "15 - already exists. After that things start to fall apart - I/O errors, mainly, and the system completely fails to boot. What's going on and what this already exists message means?
View 8 Replies View RelatedNot sure but has support and updates for 11.2 come to an end? Every monday morning i make sure i'm upto date with updates etc. This am i get a message saying "repo not available" and having looked online to see if the directory openSUSE_11.2 exists, it doesn't.
At the same time loged in as a std user i regularily offer the command kdesu kwite. the command is accepted without error and the cursur returns on a new line as expected but kwrite doesn't start. I'm guessing that my last update has left me with a broken OS. It doesn't seem very long at all since i installed 11.2!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a SONY PCG-R505TE laptop with an external CD/DVD, it connects via what I think is a PCMCIA card, the drive came with the laptop and functions fine. I currently have Windows XP running on this laptop, but it's very slow.I downloaded openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686.iso and sucessfully burned it to a CD.I have the laptop bios set to boot from CD, and it appears to be doing that no problem. When it boots I first see the welcome screen, then the openSUSE Installer, whether I select the Live (GNOME) option, or the Installation.. it loads the kernel, and then loads the KIWI boot systemit is on the third event, waiting for CD/DVD dvices to appear... that something seems to fail... I then see Failed to detect CD/DVD or USB drivethen a rebootexception and it reboots in 120 seconds.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried to install suse 11.4 from live usb when it was installing, it said at one point that there is 0 b available on my disk. It's impossible because I had a partition with 15 GB of space devoted to this installation. My hard drive is 300GB,100mb for system reserved, about 50 + 214 for windows and the fourth partition is extended 35 GB. The extended 35 has 20 GB for FAT 32 and then 15 GB for the suse. And it said there is no room. pressed explore or something from the error message and then the whole computer froze. I had to reboot and the grub was ofc fcked up, nice. So, atm I am running from another live cd. When I tried to boot the openSUSE live usb the usb was ruined.. I don't know what had happened but it tried to load the live usb, it had it's cameleon ture and then error messages that said something about the usb being read only. So, do you have any ideas what might have happened, why did it say there is no room when there clearly was?
