View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run Drupal on a RHEL 5.5 box and am told that my PHP version is too old and must be at least 5.2I see that my version is 5.1. I try a yum install php but am find that I have the latest version that RHN provides.I download, configure, and install php 5.3, which appears to install correctly into /usr/local/bin. Drupal still complains about the PHP version.I note that although my $PATH has /usr/local/bin before /usr/bin, 'php -v' gives me 5.1 and 'whereis php' gives me /usr/bin.I try to work around this by copying /usr/local/bin/php to /usr/bin/php. Now 'php -v' gives me 5.3 but Drupal still says that my version is too old.I try to restart httpd but it does not help. Neither does 'yum remove php'.

I have installed red hat. but not able to give ip.
had a box lose it's virtual IP address on the eth0 card. I rebooted the box but it just would not give the card the second IP address. We rebooted several times in fact.Today admin ran 'ifup ifcfg-eth0:1' and the virtual IP was there. Nothing was changed, just that command was ran.I thought there might be a problem with the automagical stuff so I rebooted the box again, virtual IP is there and happy.Anyone know why it would not have come back on reboot and why it now does?

in ubunto its:
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.5
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.254
so,where exactly is the man page for this information, i tried (in centos) to type man -k "IPADDR" to find some reference but i come up with nothing.
2. sometimes im logged as user "user1" and then i do "su user2" and then again "su user3",
