The thing is ..i love Windowmaker,, my problem is how to incorporate Gmrun so i can execute it from as a shortcute. for example:
Mod1+F2 And another thing,,how can i move my Dockapp from the bottom left to the Top right?
Is it possible to somehow move the top panel to left and bottom panel to the right side of the screen? I tried to use drag and drop but it does not work. Any simple way to do it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Virtualbox running on Windows Vista, and Debian running inside Virtualbox. Everything's running great, for the most part. Everything looks correct.
But when I'm in full-screen mode, the top edge seems to act (to the mouse) like it's the bottom edge, and the left edge seems to act like the right edge. For example, if I click in the middle of the desktop and drag left, as if to select some icons, when I hit the very leftmost pixel of the screen, the selection (but not the mouse pointer) jumps to the far right edge of the screen).
For the left edge, it's not such a big deal, but not having the top edge is kind of annoying: it means I can't select things from the menu in my top panel by slamming the mouse against the top of the screen.
how can i make banshee display album art on bottom left of the interface i mean there is no feature that will provide a bottom left album art box on banshee it self.i can see the album arts but there is no feature to display a box on bottom left with album art ? how can i do that version 1.5.1

The small netbookscreen is just not good for this new appbar on the left side (it's one of the old eee-pc's). I have four computers hooked up via a KVM. On all of them except the computer in question the video is displayed properly. They all are Nvidia cards. I ran SaX2 but it doesn't have any way of tweaking the video over that I can see. I haven't installed the nvidia package yet but it doesn't have it either. Hitting the auto adjustment on the monitor every time I select this machine on the KVM isn't the answer. How do I get to the old video adjustment screen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running 10.10 Netbook Edition. I added Terminal Server Client to the Unity Menu and I typically run it in Full Screen mode to manage serveral windows based servers. The problem is that TSC displays perfect in full screen (unity tool bar hidden) but when i move the mouse over to the left side of the screen i get the pop-up text balloons from the unity below it. I cannot click on any items along the left edge of the remote desktop window including the windows start key. I want to confirm if this is a bug? and how to report it if so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure what to call the semi-transparent sidebar with a random collection of unconfigurable icons, but I don't think it's working properly.
1. When I move my mouse to the left edge of the screen, it doesn't always appear. Sometimes I have to move my mouse back and forth, back and forth, several times.
2. What it's doing right now is even worse... it appears, but as soon as I move the mouse a *little* bit to the right to actually click an icon, it disappears.
What is causing this? Surely it's a bug? How do I make the sidebar the absolute top priority for the screen edge so that it always catches it and appears? how do I configure it? I can't right-click on the sidebar itself. I can right-click and remove some icons. Other icons, like the grayed-out (but still active) "recent files" thing cannot be removed.
So I was fooling around with compiz settings manager and was trying to get the cube to rotate around, and by doing so I disabled some plugins (because I was prompted to do so) and now Unity is gone and everything opens in the upper left hand corner so much so that I can't move the window. It was pretty rash for me just to disable plugins,how to get everything back to normal.

It works fine except now Ubuntu has pushed my display down. This means that the bottom of my tool-bar on the bottom of the screen is cut off, and there's a black bar on the top. I'm using a T.V. screen so there is no way I can manually adjust it. I also plugged my desktop back into an old monitor and it was off-center downward too.

Description of Problem:There is another thread that discussed this same problem that I'm having: However that thread is so old that the suggestions in it no longer work in Ubuntu 10.04 and for whatever reason I can not make a reply to that thread.As in the above thread, I've tried other input devices and rebooting the computer and using other USB ports, and my mouse still intermittently double left clicks randomly at times when I've only clicked the left mouse button once and at times and places when it should only produce a single click such as when selecting a drop down menu.
Has any one else had this problem, and does any one have any idea how to fix it or to trouble shoot this a bit more? Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide to further clarify or troubleshoot this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I swap my left alt with my left win key using the gnome keyboard layout options, the swap only works intermittently. I have an aluminum Apple keyboard with no numpad. No matter what layout options I choose, I can't seem to get it working.I also have the same setup on my laptop and work desktop and it works without issue. I've ensured my .Xmodmap doesn't exist.When I say "works intermittently" I mean when I'm trying to use "alt+b, alt+f" navigation in emacs or bash, it doesn't work but if I click around a bit then try again, it works. Also, I use alt+arrows to switch workspaces and that always works

I have two applets on my Gnome panel -- NetworkManager Applet 0.8, and Klipper (it works better than Glipper) -- that I want to move.
HOWEVER, right-clicking the panel icons does not enable me to move these applets, as follows:
- NetworkManager Applet 0.8 does not include a Move item in its list of options.
- Klipper displays a long list of Klipper options but no Move option.
How I can move these items to new locations on the Gnome panel?
I have installed Mint8. I was using VPN connection before to be able to use skype (it's blocked in the Middle East...) but can't get it to work in Linux I've installed the network manager, added and configured the VPN connection but when I click on it to connect it doesn;t do anything. No window popping up, no error message... anyone has got an idea what else I should do in order making it work? or how else can I use skype without logging into private networks?
another "problem" we have got 2users on Linux and the other one cannot see the wifi icon in the bottom right corner on his desktop. after nm applet (or some command like that ) i got back that its been taken by another user. so can only one user see this icon on his desktop??
