I was wondering if anyone uses kmymoney? I am trying to setup an online account but I get errors when I try to map to an online account.my bank is M&T bank and quicken 2007 is no longer supported.
View 2 RepliesI'm able to open up kmymoney and create a new file, click on the new accounts, enter data, etc. When I try to open an existing file, it opens fine, however as soon as I click on any of the accounts it freezes. I ran the consistency checker and it resolved 10 errors, but still will not open.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to set up my Yahoo account on KMail. After entering all the correct (as far as I know) server settings, ports, etc. and trying to check my mail from KMail, I get the following message.
Could not login to pop.mail.yahoo.com. The password may be wrong.
The server said: "[SYS/PERM] pop not allowed for user."
The password is definitely right. What is going on?
Yesterday Ubuntu One stopped syncing properly: all files and folders were listed on the web site grayed out and tagged with "uploading", while there was "0 bytes Used". I could still upload files manually to the website fairly quickly, so it probably wasn't purely server overload. Anyway, a number of things happened after that:uninstalled the Ubuntu One client packages and reinstalled them in Account settings on the website, I removed my computer, hoping to make a fresh start the Ubuntu online account login system for some reason forced me to change my password (presumably it wasn't strong enough)
After all that, I can still login to the website (with the new password), but the computer can't login. When I type u1sdtool -s in terminal, the result is

When I open Ubuntu One Preferences from the Me menu, it completely freezes at the Account tab; I can't click anything or even close it (have to kill it in terminal).
I suppose the login failure has to do with the old password whcih was saved in the keyring. The removed computer from the account probably complicates the issue.
I've found the office equivalent to MS office that I was currently using and have acclimated myself to those programs. Now, I'm looking for the closest equivalent to Microsoft money where I can access my on-line account and download the transactions as I have been doing with Microsoft Money. I've recently downloaded kmymoney, but I don't know how to set up the on-line account download.

I have Fedora 12 installed and it was running fine until I attempted to set the path in bashrc and cshrc for jdk. Now I am unable to login using the only user account I created at install. When I enter my password the login screens goes blank then my mouse pointer appears with the circling dashed loading symbol for a few secs and then brings me back to the login screen asking for my password again.

However, I am unable to ftp a user account on a EC2 instance of fc12.I do not know what commands were given to fc12 to create an AMI that uses a private key instead of a password.As root administrator I like it. However, I am trying to set up users in such a way that Windows users using "My Network Places" can access my EC2 instance of fc12. I have created accounts for my users and set a password for each of them (useradd). The problem is that I am unable to ftp the fc12 server with the user name and password. The error message the client gets when it tries to do so says there is no supported authentication method available. I presume I must somehow change server security or something to allow access to users with passwords but I do not know how to do this.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi followed this guide, [URL] a few days ago and set up an sftp server no problem. The user can only see what is in there home folder which is only the examples file which is empty. Today i went to set up a 2nd ftp account for my own private use. I have it set up and all, followed exactly what he said the 2nd time around and my 2nd user is not chroot'd. I can explor the contents of the whole drive.
My fist user that works fine is "ftpuser" and the group is "sftponly" just like in the guide. My 2nd user is named "ftptaylor". Now i did have an ftp server set up with vsftpd where i had the same ftpuser account in a different group, but it was jailed to /home/ftpuser. I cant tell you how i did it, i followed a number of guides untill one worked. But could it be that the guide above does not in face jail the users, but just that my user was already jail'd?
I have just tried to set up a pop3 account in thunderbird3 and it sends fine, but it doesn't pull any emails off the server. It just says no messages, but there are no error messages, nothing in the error console, etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using evolution for my email for about a year.It currently has 2 accounts set up.I want to create a third account so I went to Edit > Preferences > Accounts > Add.On the first page I click on "forward" and on the second page enter the new details. New name, new email address and when I'm finished I click on forward again and the second screen comes up. It has some server details on it iirc. Sadly after 2 seconds or so this screen disappears and the very first screen re-appears (where the only thing to click on is "forward").What's happening? Is 2 accounts the maximum? Any clues please?

i changed the res to 800x600 and attempted to load eve, the splash window loads up and then nothing, the splash window dissapears and i am left with the background of the WINE UI (in which case i cannot close the wine window either) i then attempted to find out my graphics card and i cannot find it using

I am trying to set up a new user account I can give to friends so they can SSH into my forward computer, and only allow forwarding of certain ports.
I do not want my friends to have a shell, or be able to change what ports to where they are allowed to forward.
example session: joe(friend) connects using PuTTY (that I have pre-set, he isn't good with computers) to example.com(my Internet facing computer) forwarding ports 8080,1990,25565 to him(with what ever end ports he wants, preferably they stay the same numbers) example ssh command to do similar (but he can still change the ports on my computer!)

is it possible to also leave default SSH functinality for all other users but this one?

In the x.org home page, there is a link 'the xorg mailing list'. If I click on this link, then the KMail Account Wizard (window subtitle New account setup) opens and I am compelled to create a new account. But I already have one, and I send and receive mail with this account. Can it be that this behavior is induced by x.org? I don't feel like opening a second account.
I installed Fedora 10 in text mode. Then I logged in as root and modified inittab to switch to GUI mode. I did not see any Setup Agent after the installation in text mode.
Now that I'm in GUI mode, I get the login screen, but it won't let me log in as root ("failed to authenticate user") and there is no Setup Agent to prompt me to create other users. I don't know how to get back to text mode, either. How do I login to the system?
I have a dual-monitor setup with a 1920x1200 lcd on the left and a 1280x1024 lcd on the right. In Fedora 11 on GNOME, using display settings, I can configure them properly.
KDE, however, is refusing to let me configure them as separate monitors. They are stuck permanently in mirrored mode, and I can't adjust positioning or anything. Here is a screenshot of the desktop with krandr running.

It appears I have gotten a bug when I try to update 11.0 or download even a update foe firefox. When I tried to see if there were any updates it said it could not do it and put up a screen stating the following. File'/repodata/repomd.xml/' not found on medium [URL]. Is there a way to fix this problem? I am a 66year old quy who is trying to learn the ins and outs of Lenox so please keep it simple.

You are running tftpd as an on demand server i.e. it is only fired up when it is needed. Services run by xinetd are always run on demand. Have you actually tested if tftp on another system can access your PC i.e.

I installed the Kde desktop and i'm unable to setup a broadband dsl connection
i have done the settngs in network manager gave password username service name etc.
but the option for connection doesnt appear
the connection works properly in windows as well as gnome 3 desktop but not in kde
I have the latest packages for kmymoney and kmm_ofximport installed on my system, but the 'file->import->ofx' menu item is not showing up as the kMyMoney manual leads me to believe it should. I do have the menu to 'map to online account' when right clicking an account, but it is not enabled for some reason. The plugin (KMyMoney OFX) is in the plugins list under the configure menu, so I'm kind of stumped.
