What should happen if both click "add to cart" at (more or less) the same time?hould the last Product X get put "on hold" for one of the customers, and then decremented once the sale is complete? Or should the database decrement the product count, and then increment it if the sale doesn't go through successfully?Is it still possible for both to add it to their cart? Are there any mysql features I can use to ensure both cannot purchase the last product?

Feb 12, 2010I've looked all over the web, but don't see an answer to my particular case. I'm in GParted in Ubuntu Live CD 9.10 amdx64 To prep for Ubuntu install, I'm attempting to resize and re-partition my second hard drive which was FORMERLY my primary boot drive for Vista before it crashed a few days back. It is CURRENTLY my Vista User data file and is about 250Gb in size. The drive is a SATA 500Gb total.
But GParted now all of a sudden gives me several "Cluster accounting failed at blah blah: missing cluster in $Bitmap" error messages. Is there a good way to 'fix' these errors? (besides reformatting it) I deleted the long-winded background, so let me know if you need more info. Short version: I installed vista by reformatting my 120Gb data drive as the primary master now. Then I plugged in my 'previous' 500Gb Sata drive, and pointed Window's User folder to my old User folder, and voila, was back up and running in Vista... minus all my programs. but now, both drives are recognized by GParted as "boot" drives.
Ubuntu Installation :: Convert From Simply Accounting To Eqonomize?
Feb 23, 2011Our business is replacing Microsoft Windows with Ubuntu (Linux) but there is one or two problems with the main computer in the office. One the main computer is my Dad's computer and the only thing he does differently then the other computers is that he does his accounting which he uses Simply Accounting and I don't think Simply Accounting is compatible with Ubuntu/Linux.
I found a great, simple accounting program for Ubuntu called Eqonomize. It doesn't have to be that one, but anyone where we can convert are data from Simply Account to an accounting program with Ubuntu.

Feb 17, 2010I am in the process of creating a new plan for the department and I am stuck at how I can manage and limit photocopy jobs on canon imagerunner machine. I know and I have tried pykota for print accounting successfully. However, I want to expand it to include imagerunner photocopy tasks as well. Has anyone does something similar (imagerunner photocopy accounting remotely) with or without pykota? If so can you point me to the correct direction.

It's missing the data on bytes and packets transmitted through that particular connection. I had written a program that uses this information. Was this pulled out of the kernel on purpose or did I miss some option when compiling the new kernel for my box?

That is the result I get. I am not sure whats wrong. There is also no man page for ledger or any kind of help with the -h flag.

Apr 7, 2010I've been poking around for the last week trying to find a suitable small business accounting software that will work for us. To make a long story short I stumbled upon SQL-Ledger and it looks like a very good application just what we're looking for... and low and behold its in the repositories! Anyway I installed the SQL-Ledger package but unfortunately there's no way to load or open this app. Synaptic shows its installed but there's no gui or and reference in the menu. Searching using the filter in the menu results in nothing. So I'm assuming SGL-Ledger just needs a gui associated with it to open it right??

However it was suggested to us that by doing so we risk losing all those rules whenever some package decides to use lokkit or "system-config-firewal*"Doing a bit of analysis I can't really find any trace of code that would prevent us from maintaining iptables just the way we were (as long as *we* don't use lokkit or system-config-firewall*) since "service iptables save" is a valid technique and uses iptables-save script which is part of iptables package and *not* part of system-config-firewall*
So we've got some evidence that may confirm our usage as valid, however it would be nice to know if indeed this is *not* a recommended way of maintaining iptables and we should reconsider how we approach it.
Fedora :: Other Graphical Interface For Package Management?
Apr 12, 2011I've gone though the system purging/removing what I don't require on my Fedora install using the graphical tool in gnome 3. I then used package-cleanup --leaves to clean up some cruft left behind. yum list installed shows I still have 1031 packages installed, which is about 400 more than similar setups I used to have on Debian, and truthfully on Debian I have more stuff installed that I've still got to install here (gimp, nvidia drivers, etc).
I see a buch of stuff in yum list installed I don't need, so I can use yum remove foo to cleanup some more, but I'm wondering if there's another graphical interface or perhaps and advacned option in the add/remove software application I've been using thus far.
Fedora Installation :: No Power Management After Upgrade?
May 28, 2011I just did an upgrade from F13 to F14.[*] Now, power management (in Gnome) does not work any more. For example, when pressing the power button, there is just a 'Cancel' button (no button for shut down, suspend, hibernate), in Gnome menu there is no possibility to shut down, and in 'gnome-power-preferences' most options do not work at all. For example, there is no other option than 'Blank screen' for 'When laptop lid is closed' action. When starting 'gnome-power-preferences' with '--verbose' parameter, I get following error messages:
