Aug 23, 2010I just rescued an old Lexmark Z35 and have been trying to find the file CJLZ35LE-CUPS-2.0-1.TAR.GZ. All the links I've found in this forum and Google seem to be broken. Does anyone know where can I find them? I have a Lexmark x5250 too, which I haven't been able to use in Ubuntu. I've heard there's a way to make it work.

Nov 12, 2010I have a problem with the latest Fedora. Installed it cleanly on a machine with Gigabyte H55M-S2 with Intel Core i3. There seems to be no sound and I checked to see if anything is muted but is not. The manual says that the sound chip is ALC888B so this could be the first problem. Any ide how I can make it work? Here is a dump of some things on my system.

Feb 14, 2010I have tried both the i386 (worked) and x86 64 dvd iso installations. Both sha1sum results don't match. I got a torrent copy and it's sha1sum doesn't match either.
The problem is with the x86 64 iso dvd. It boots but takes a long time(2-3 minutes)to load ata_piix driver when the title bar says Loading SCSI driver. After it finishes loading that driver, when prompted for the installation method, if I select CD/DVD, I'm prompted to select a driver or install disk for driver. I've tried several different generic ata drivers from the list and end up with a strange memory map interwoven with a multi color(red, white and blue)
copied output as best I can.

Fedora :: Pops Message Saying Can't Find Driver And Disappears
Jun 15, 2011I tried adding two printers.. One remote. So I go into add printer, type its IP address.. comes up blank. no error message, it just waits. I type ipp://192.168.1.77 instead, still the same.. I eventually gave up and added the printer from [URL] Local printer. I plug its USB in. It hums for a while, pops a message saying cannot find driver and disappears. I try manually adding, again it just sits. localhost:631 saves the day again. What gives? The old printer management tool was much better, it actually worked.

I am a Ubuntu user and could not get my GeForce 9100 on board graphics to work on my new computer with out crashing my computer so I decided I would try fedora. I downloaded the driver from NVidia and I am attempting to install it (Fedora didn't automatically find the driver). I get the following message:
"Error Unable to find the system utility 'ld'; Please make sure you have the 'binutils' installed. If you do have the bin utils installed, then please check that 'ld' is in your PATH."
I am running the driver from $Download as root. I don't know what ld or bin utils is or the check if I have it or if it is in my PATH.
