Having one issue with evolution not showing html websites showing up in email like verizon sending a promo. I have gone to edit, preferences, mail preferences, html messages and have always load images from the internet chosen. I have also added sender to contacts. Even if I right click message and tell it to dload images it doesn't.

I am working happily with Fedora 8, evolution chatting happily to exchange 2003, calendar sync the works...impressed. This continued through Fedora 9 (though a little bumpy as all odd numbered Fedora releases are). On to Fedora 10, yes works a treat out of the box (DVD). A couple of updates to evolution later, through yumex (fedora updates), and evolution has stopped sending email to the exchange server. It's also touch and go whether I can read email using OWA.
On pressing 'Send/Receive' evolution pops the error,
Error while performing operation.
Exchange transport can only be used with Exchange mail source.
How could I back out these evolution updates?
Basically, I think my Internet crashed while sending an email via Evolution and now whenever I open Evolution, or try and receive any new email it just sits there sending this email - it reaches 100% so I can only assume it has actually sent the email.
There's a button to "Cancel the current mail operation" though it doesn't appear to be doing anything; the email is still being "sent" each time.
This would be pretty tedious for the guy I sent the email to.
Has anyone had similar issues and knows of a fix?
I'm using Evolution in Gnome 3 and I'm having this rather annoying issue---whenever I make a new Task, it does NOT show up in the Tasks bar. Even if I try searching for it, the task doesn't show up (even making a new Task List doesn't show up), which makes me think it was never saved properly in the first place. I also tried seeing if there was any sort of error while running Evolution by opening it via the terminal, but I don't get anything. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this a known bug with Evolution

Evolution shows Inbox(1) but when I click on Show: Unread Messages this message appears; "No message satisfies your search criteria. Either clear search with Search->Clear or change it".Selecting Search->Clear shows the hidden message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to connect a projector to my laptop (already running) and hit the fn+f7 (the designated button for switching screen), nothing happens. I see "no source found" on projector screen and my laptop screen works perfectly. Now if I restart the laptop with the projector connected, I see all the intial booting messages on the projector screen (not on my laptop), then the gnome login screen appears on both the projector screen and laptop (when the login screen appears on laptop it looks like it has lower resolution than my usual laptop resolution). But immediately after I log in, my laptop screen goes blank, and projector screen becomes the only active screen.
If I restart without the projector, again all normal operation on laptop screen is restored.
I feel like I am missing some very silly options. Any help is appreciated.

I am using CentOS, In Evolution mail, I was not able to send/receive my mails. When checked I found my Inbox exceeds 2.1 GB in size. I renamed my Inbox to Inbox.old and made a new Inbox in evolution. Now mail is working fine. but I want to get my old mails also. Is there any solution to get my mails back ? Also please tell me the cause of this problem

Basically, my email folder is in a unix folder on a system, and that system logs me into my folder when I try using evolution. The downside is that files like .bashrc, .bash_profile and other weird stuff end up in the foldertree view

I had configured the evolution to send/recive email. After it had been configured, it could receive emails. Suddendly it can't fetch email anymore. In the inbox of evolution, there were about 200 emails. There are maybe 5K emails in the server, I guessed. I'm not sure whether it's the problem that there's one email in the server too big, so the evolution can not fetch it. The error of evolution is: error while fetching email. Evolution version: Evolution 2.28.0. OS version: Linux xxx2.6.32.9-70.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Mar 3 04:57:21 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I'm sure my network is fine, I use pop3 to receive email.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi've got Evolution as an email client in Fedora 12.ve got only one IMAP account configured, which seems to be working OK. However, temporarily it is not sending emails. I write an email and hit send/receive and get error. "Error while sending message" ir seems that it is downloading messages, but not sending. There is a quick, but annoying solution to it: restart Evolution. As soon as it is restarted (close and ope the application) it is working OK for some time.

Where did my email go? Did it go into the ehter? I opened port 25 on my firewall through gnome by selecting 25/smpt checkbox as a trusted service.

Everything seems to work fine except Evolution.The first time I ran Evolution I restored my Evolution v2.3 (mbox) files that I had backed up from F13. I did this from the setup wizard so I actually never "opened" Evolution. The conversion to maildir appeared to go OK, and I can see the files in /home/oldan/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/cur. Each file (there are 17,000+) can be opened, so the data conversion is intact.
However, I am unable to open the application at all. In the GUI (KDE) I get a spinning icon that goes away in about 30 sec. From a command prompt as a regular user I get:[oldan@Fedora15-001 Documents]$ evolution (evolution:4822): Unique-GDBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Timeout was reached
As root I get[root@Fedora15-001 Documents]# evolution No protocol specified Cannot open display: Any one have a clue as to what might be happening?

I was running fedora 9 on an HP pavilon and wanted to get my wirless card to work with b43, so i searched online for ways to to this and found the following: "Using the b43 driver If you need to use the b43 driver follow these steps to install the required firmware.
1. Download this file [URL]
2. Load up a terminal window if you are in the graphic interface.
3. Switch to the root user by entering the command "su -" (without the quotes) and typing in your root password
4. Extract the contents of the file you downloaded by typing the following: tar -xjvf /path/to/broadcom-wl-4.80.53.0.tar.bz2 Replace the "path/to" section with the path to the file you downloaded.
5. We now need to use the b43-fwcutter tool. A standard Fedora installation already has this tool installed however if you don't have it type in the following: yum install b43-fwcutter
6. Now run the following:
b43-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware kmod/wl_apsta.o The above assumes you are in the directory that you extracted the downloaded file to.
7. Now type in following following:
echo "modprobe b43" >> /etc/rc.modules" chmod 755 /etc/rc.modules"8. Running Fedora 13 with KDE Desktop. When I open a document and minimize it, It dose not show on the panel on the bottom. Therefore I can not re-open it, I have to open a new one. Now I have several minimized thinks in the panel and I can't close them.

I want to be able to intersperse my replies within a quoted reply i.e. if the email had three paragraphs, I'd like to be able to have my replies between each of the paragraphs. At the moment, I don't seem to be able to do anything other than delete from the quoted section - I try to simulate my requirements by cutting and then 'paste quotation', but this doesn't always work as sometimes Evolution adds too many levels of '> ' .

Nearly evrithing was flawless, but when i copied my old home directory the images of some of the launchers i have on the desktop are invisible.I use kde 4 with the activity show folder running pointing to the desktop folder. The icons missing are windows programs installed with wine. I copied the icons from one installation to another. I also tried to manually set the icon copying it to a different location and modifying de .desktop.
