Fedora :: Best Program Have Found To Make Or Edit Epub Files / Sigil
Jun 11, 2011
Has any one got this to run on Fedora 14. I have it running just fine on Ubuntu 10.04 but it will not boot up under Fedora. It seems to install just fine.Best program I have found to make or edit epub files. Sigil
I haven't put this in the forums for any of the separate programs, because im having the same problem in all of them, im thinking maybe its a problem elsewhere?I recently got a Canon DSLR. It can save in Raw format, I use this function. Canons Raw format is "Whatever.CR2"F spot viewer and all editor programs see then and 'preview' them with no problem. The images appear to have no problem until you load them into GIMP (with UFRAW) UFRAW standalone, RAWStudio etc.
They load, but only as a small vertical rectangle. Often very purple in colour.I thought maybe it was something wrong with just the way it looked, so I just loaded one, went save as (a jpeg) and then loaded it up, it loaded as a small picture of the same purple-haze bar.Have I done something wrong? I googled it, downloaded UFRaw, even Ubuntu studio, same problem before and after studio installation. All these programs claim to read raw images.Just as an example, In RawStudio:I load up the folder of raw images. I can see all the images clearly with no problems in the preview slider up top. I can scroll through them and see them all no problem. When I click on one, it loads in the editing box as some weird bar (always vertical in orientation) often faintly resembling part of the photo but with seriously acid trip colours. Eg massive purple hazes, green everything etc.
I used dvgrab to pull the video off of my Cannon HV30 HDV camcorder. Now I have a bunch of 5 minute clips at about a gig each. I need to edit these together and use a better file type. What should I convert to, and what program should I use for encoding and editing?
i try do modify BASHRC and ENVIRONMENT files on directory ETCthen all the command don't work, such as:SUDO, GEDIT, NAUTILUS, NANO and some others!now i want to edit the 2 files and delete the insert lines
I was able to convert a Real Estate Firm from using Microsoft OSS to OpenSuse 11.2.The Real estate agents in the firm are pleased and some are not but it's the cost of doing business and saving money.I am at a cross road or should I say I have come to a bump in the road. Most of the agents create their flyers and signs in Microsoft Publisher, I tried Open Office 3.X and I'm unable to open or edit the files in question.Do have any suggestions or could you point me in the direction of a solid solution that will help me either convert the files or a program that can be used with-in OpenSuse 11.2 that can edit the files
I downloaded the Komodo Edit 5 program for wysiwyg web edits, unpacked the tar ball and installed. However, I cannot find it using the Menu Updating tool.

This program is calling the Imlib call: imlib_context_free(); With the parameter: context

I want to make a program that maintains a list of tags that can be attached to a set of files. Store the tags in the files. The main problem is that there is no way to get a list of all the tags without reading each and every file. And also what if you have an unused tag? Have a file that contains tag "keys" and file list "values". This seems like it would be fast and effective, but what if one of the files gets renamed?
I have successfully installed fedora 10 and have rpmfusion in my /home/ directory. i don't know how to edit yum.conf to make yum install from this local repo. i tried once. But when i tried to install vlc i got an error saying some lib****** files are missing and missing dependencies.
I downloaded the current version of Sigil 64bit from Google Code https://code.google.com/p/sigil/ and it is just not working. Whenever I try to launch it the screen appears for less than a second and then vanishes. Does anybody know how to fix this?
I just installed Fedora 11 and then followed the directions here to add the adobe repo. Also, added the rpm fusion repo. But, when I search for 'flash-plugin' i get a nothing found reply? Did I miss a step or do something out of order?
I recently upgraded from fc8. I am running two nvidia NVS 285 cards with four monitors and using nvidia driver 190.53-pkg1. I have one card up and running and can edit the config file and make to other two work I just can't get all four to work together.
I need to change a game's screen resolution in a couple of .con files, but when I double click on them all I get is success in a little pop up window. Can I move them to my computer, edit them with a text editor, and reinsert them with read only privileges?
I have rented a remote dedicated fedora 7 system. The service provider provisioned the system and does not allow direct "root" access to the system.
I currently use putty to login into "user1", switch to "root" using su -, and then edit the file.
I would like to edit the "root" file directly from my home XP system which has a SFTP connection to the remote fedora 7 system (using Aptana RadRails).
I am not sure how to do that. I had 2 ideas but I am just guessing and afraid to proceed with so little knowledge.
I considered editing /etc/group and changing the line from root:x:0:root to
I'm trying to install kmplayer-0.10.0c and im using Fedora 9. when i tried to install the kmplayer-0.10.0c using the command ./configure i received this error msg "The important program kde-config was not found!. A question on the packages installed. Went to program add/remove and found many unusual languages supported. Will I have problems if I remove them?? Also is KDE any better than GNOME for the desktop. recommendation on a book covering Fedora that the inexperienced can understand.

I am trying to install Fedora 10 on an old P3 Inspiron 5000. When I boot from the Live cd the screen is split into three sections and is hard to navigate. I am able to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and log out and log back in to proceed with the installation. The problem is when I finish the installation and reboot to the new OS it boots to the triple section mode again because my xorg.conf is not edited. To do any commands in Fedora I need to get through a brief user setup in which I cannot navigate through until I can see the screen better. Is there a way to boot to a graphical type safe mode so I can see the whole screen to finish the installation? How can I access folders from the live cd to edit the installed files? This way I can edit the xorg.conf file before booting and all would be legible.
I decided to switch from Ubuntu to Fedora Core 10 KDEdual boot installation worked perfectly... all smooth!untill i got to installing things....i wanted to install ndiswrapper, so i manually downloaded it on my second pc and transferred it trought a USB stick to the Fedora PC. When reading the 'installation manual' it clearly uses the "make" command a lot...problem is; bash error: "bash: make: command not found"So i google this and i get some solutions, all involving online repositories...so basically... i need internet to get the MAKE rpm, and i need the MAKE rpm to get the internet working... :')I tried searching online repositories but i haven't got a clue about what i need to download from there (to get the make command, or the "Development Tools") and how to install it on my fedora pc....i need help :P It would be much appreciated if someone could explain me how i could get these important packages up and running on my system with manual downloading and installing.I haven't got a clue how to do this manually... I've been on it for hours allready and I'm getting a bit fed up with it I can't understand why such an important package isn't standard included in the installation.
The whole code is written in C, C++, and Fortran. Is it possible to make it to use more than 4GB memory. Now it is always crashed when it reaches 3GB memory. If it is possible, how to set up the compiling options (or configure flags)? We can use gcc, g++, ...or intel compilers our OS: Fedora 12 x32
